My game is working, but it runs like absolute garbage, anomaly I had max frames no issue, in gamma i have like 20 fps, turning settings down or up has no effect on the performance at all. Any ideas how to get it to run properly?

It changes the distance at which ai becomes active

Reduces stuttering by a significant margin because engine magic
But the current version can decrease performance a bit and increases the change of busyhands bug to appear

  1. Open your Anomaly folder, if you have any save files you want to keep, take them from this folder: Anomaly\appdata\savedgames
  2. Delete your Anomaly folder
  3. Extract a clean Anomaly folder (VERSION 1.5.2 IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED VERSION FOR GAMMA, if you don't have it yet, type and send !152 in #πŸ€–bot-commands)
  4. Run the installer as admin and make sure you have the latest version: 3.8 (If you don't have it, grab it here: <#πŸ“’announcements message>)

Why does every update completely reset my keybinds/my settings/my mods/my stuff in general?

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.
You can backup your keybinds and mod settings following this guide: #β•­πŸ“–faq message

Hey followed everything on the guide as far as I can tell, however whenever I try and launch the game I'm met with "cannot start anomalyDX11.exe" something about the file not existing, the file is in the stalker anomaly bin and will boot up the game if i click on it. I read an old reddit post about having to use 7zip, I used winrar cause it was already downloaded. is that the problem?

If its priority is over 400, then it's in the highest priority.
And you crash because the texture mod is higher in priority that the particles cinematic mod

For anyone annoyed by the laughs when you equip a new weapon, disabling both Voiced Actor mods doesn't help here. You need to either disable "95- Doom-like weapon inspection", or, if you want to keep the mod, but get rid of the stupid laughs and comments (like I did), you can edit the script in the mod (the only file in the "scripts" folder of the mod). Find lines 46 and 47 (starting with "voice") and comment them out (add two dashes in front, so it looks like "-- voice"). Save the script, and that's it.
I had to search through a lot of comments before I found the solution to this particular annoyance, so I hope this helps somebody. Shame that there is no ingame setting for this.

When you Reinstall it makes you choose between a few modules, Main Texture File and such, tought you have to choose none so I went with that and this showed up.
Choosing a module fixes it of course, but still it doesnt changes the icons in-game

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)

6) Paste the gamedata folder inside this newly created folder
7) Now go to GAMMA RC3/mods and look for a folder called 76- Boomsticks and Sharpsticks - Mich.
If you have this folder - delete it, if you don't have it - skip this step.
8) Launch the GAMMA installer with admin rights, press Download G.A.M.M.A. data and then Only install G.A.M.M.A. addons

If your issue isn't solved, press Download G.A.M.M.A. data and then Full GAMMA Installation in the installer.

We can't really see the problem if you take a picture with your cellphone. If you have a problem you want to share with us, you can do the following, since we don't care about your second monitor or your desktop image:

  1. Press F12 in-game, look in Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If it's not there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
  2. Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
  3. Windows key + Shift + S, which let you choose what part of the screen you want to copy, it will directly copy the pic for you.

3) Go to your Anomaly folder

It won't delete your save files.

Then, do exactly this:

3. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and Gamma folders to Exclusions:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
4. Open GAMMA installer as admin
5. Click Download G.A.M.M.A. data
6. Click Full G.A.M.M.A. installation

You can go to moddb.com and check if you got flagged (the whole screen will be red with a text in the middle)

If so, wait out the timer + 40 minutes.
Or try using a vpn (the pc one, not the one for the browser)
And run full gamma installation again.
While not forgetting to launch it as admin and pressing download gamma data before launching full install

Moddb looks fine "sadly", which means my install should have been successful. But the game doesn't start. I have 4 mods with red cross. 19, 163, 164 and 238 in default order.

DO NOT ENABLE Weird Tasks Framework in your Mod Organizer, and do not try to install it manually. First of all, that mod isn't supported, and second - it's outdated, unfinished and unstable even on vanilla Anomaly.

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
  4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder

How do I disable the blur at the edges of the screen, it's not caused by mask overlay. seems to be depth of field (which I can't disable for some reason) or something in reshade.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect.
You can turn it off:
1) Open the game.
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu.
3) Search SSS Settings.
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left.
Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

If these steps don't work and DOF remains enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.
