Hey. Any idea why while I am playing suddenly my key binds gets mixed around and my character start to do actions that correspond to other key? Like I cannot move anymore, the char takes out the knife, starts to tear off his patch etc.

For the life of me, no matter how many times I run the full install (yes, I'm making sure I'm not getting blocked by moddb) I'm only getting 335 mods for some reason. I've checked the hosts file, tried installing in two separate locations, same issue both times...

Anyone know why some of the bigger files just freeze while downloading? for instance soundscape overhaul makes it about 20 percent, freezes, i refresh it, error ensues, and then it goes to the next mod without fully downloading.

try this: go right click on every mod that has red X, open in explorer and delete that folder, then VPN since you're probs blocked on moddb, and go full install again

it should download only missing mods

it's how i managed to get my number of missing from 30+ to about 10

the installer runs a checksum against the file on moddb. it won't register the mods as properly installed if it can't connect to moddb. and if you didn't manage to download the gamma data that tells it which mods to fetch... you're not going to get the latest set of mods

Yeah, it's because the installer makes a ton of requests to the site

They rate limit you for their own sanity

in your GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer folder, delete GAMMA_definition.zip and version.txt, then Download GAMMA Data again

this should force it to re-download that

then, if you aren't blocked, run the full gamma installation, don't delete anythign etc

Go to https://moddb.com and see if you are flagged as a bot. If you are, you will see a big red screen. You can either wait for the block to expire or use a VPN. Then run a full install.

1. Disable antivirus temporarily
2. Open GAMMA installer as admin
3. Click "Download G.A.M.M.A. data"
4. Click "Full G.A.M.M.A. installation"
   We strongly suggest you use mirror 127 or 128 when you do.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

hey I have installed in on my desktop and my laptop for when I'm away. but both times iv installed it when I get into the actual game it just have a black screen but with UI up. everything seems to work inventory at first I thought I could turn on flash light but that doesn't seem to work and I don't think I have one but I cant make any thing out side of UI. not even a wall its just BLACK. here is a pick to follow.

so you can go, individually find the listings for each one, download the .zips and place them into your GAMMA\downloads folder then run the full install again so that the installer installs them with the correct options

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

I'm getting this repeatable crash when in the great swamp CS camp. I take sleeping pill and go to sleep. i get a message that a psi storm happened (looks like 2 messages concerning that) and then the game game crashes. 358 mods active and been playing this character for while now. not have this issue in the swamp before when sleeping. I have a couple of quests that might be relevant, to assault an enemy base and rescue a ecologist both at the little village next to the South East entrance of the great swamp.

Hello, I recently installed the modpack, I am able to load into the menu and create my character but when it goes to load into the game I get this error. I was previously able to run the modpack, about a month back, so i've had success before, just freshly reinstalled last night. 1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

I think I’ve managed to get past my CTD which mean my original hypothesis as to what was causing might have been correct. While sleeping in the great swamps an emission even happened which would lead to a CTD as soon as the even message popped up. It might have been because I had a number of active mission in the swamp, one to clear research area and one to rescue an ecologist at near the south east cordon exit, but also one to kill a sniper in the north for the military/ecologist story line. I think the emission was causing one of these quests to mess up.

I avoided it by sleeping before going to the great swamp and the emission didn’t cause a ctd then.

hi so i just finished the lab x16 questline to deactivate the miracle machine and all of the sudden i went from 15-30 sec save/reload times to 1-2 min ones. im also experiencing small freezes when opening my inventory and moving items around. all other gameplay runs fine...

this an issue others have had? couldnt find much info on it other than that more npcs spawn after the quest so maybe that causes the loading issues?

If you still get lag while loading/long loading times, then try launching regular vanilla Anomaly once, then return to GAMMA.

Another way to fix it is stupid but sometimes works. Launch one of the Anomaly exe's in the Anomaly folder (either bin or appdata, not the Anomaly Launcher) and then launch GAMMA through MO2

I was having major stutters, i'm sure you've already done this but Turn on if you stutter in MO helps a lot for me, then I downloaded an application called project lasso and used that to trim any background applications and set Gamma to realtime processing, cleared up any issues for me personally but i'm also not a helper so take this at your own accord ya know

so realtime processing is an option for your cpu which you can change in your task manager, go to details and look for the stalker anomaly service, right click and change priority to realtime. without project lasso you will have to do this manually every time you boot the game, lasso automatically sets it

Turn ALL settings to low/off.
Turn On Stutter Fix in the Organizer.
Check for A-life file to reduce it.
Ticked Prefetch Sounds
Specific Resolutions
Set all CPU's off or just on O
And Realtime or High requirement.
Tried Admin mode too.

It's both. The funny thing is, if I start it off with a new game runs fine for about 2 minutes. Then boom, stutters incoming. Even when I stand still, or just stay in one area, the stutters don't go away. I thought "If I wait a good half an hour just to see if it'll fix it because loading stuff, maybe it'll work." Nope, just kept going, and it's every certain number of seconds, while they are microstutters, it does become annoying in gun fights because the stuttering fucks with your aims when you try to fight fast moving targets.

Interesting, do you have multiple SSDs, or an SSD at all?

I know some titles have issues with shader compilation if they are located off of the C drive where shaders are cached

Simple suggestion here which may have already been tried since you fiddled with your settings already, but VSYNC has some issues on Anomaly. Check your Nvidia Control Panel, see if you have Vysnc set to on globally which you likely dont, if so turn it off, then turn off vsync in anomaly
