I assume it's the switch distance for A-Life. A potential fix might be to activate the mod "Turn this on if you stutter" in MO2 but if the stutters don't really interfere with gameplay then it's a feature, ahah Stutters happen to me every now and then. That's how the engine of the game works.

The easiest solution is to remove BitDefender and use Windows Defender.

You can (also) resolve this issue by opening BitDefender and going to: Protection > Anti-Virus > Open > Settings > Manage exceptions > + Add an Exception.

Example: Every time I set up DOF to 0 (disabling it), after some random time it is set up back to ON. Not via the console, nor the settings menu - it ignores my setup or setting back up to 1.

I will say that I am in a late stage of the game, with the SIN related quests, which may have to do with some of the problems. It's only around some time before that I started experiencing crashes.

It may also just be coincidence, but the crashes seem to have really weird triggers that I haven't experienced before, such as turning a laser on a gun on will crash the game. In my last crash, it seemed that killing a Monolith soldiers caused my game to crash. It's all really weird and I would appreciate some help.
