How do you update GAMMA? I must be stupid because I've read "how-to-update" and I don't understand! I need the idiots version please

Hi- full vanilla install of GAMMA. Running into a crash in Chernobyl, I don't see anything indicating a fatal error in the logs. Just... closes to desktop, roughly around the same spot at the power plant. Any ideas? This clean install is a bit older, maybe mid-November.

2. Copy these three folders (check pic)
3. Go to your Anomaly folder

5. Overwrite/replace all if asked

hey, I keep getting this thing where the screen will just flash black for a second and is incredibly irritating. seems to be happening randomly from what I can tell. haven't changed any mods what so ever.

Is there a way to reset companions that are stuck? They went down the stairs to Sidrovich and they're stuck by the doorway at the bottom. I've tried pressing the Teleport Companion key (J by default), but it doesn't do anything at all. And using any of the movement behavior options while talking to them didn't get them unstuck..

Darnit. I realized disabling the "GAMMA UI" mod in MO2, the whole background and everything changes back to normal. The music, however, remains. It must be under a different section, such as audio tucked somewhere. I thought the track was called "Deathcard Cabin," but I just get one loud bass note and then one soft violin note. It doesn't sound like the track at all. I love the rest of Grok's work, especially the reflections mod. Either something isn't working right or the title music is different? This was a godsend to find and download basically a Wabbajack of Stalker Anomaly, so a big shout out to Grok. But I do want to return to a different main menu background and music.

Found it! It is under mod 271: G.A.M.M.A. Large Files - GAMMA Team. Under Gamedata > Sounds > Music you will see the file _anomaly_ilya_ponomarenko_day_one Change the name of whatever music you want the title music to be to this name and replace it, since it probably uses the name of the song to call upon the file for the title music. I am super glad I figured this out, so I can set my own mood for the title screen. It makes a surprisingly huge difference when you boot up the game.

Ok, so I installed GAMMA for the 1st time and when I try 2 launch it it, a pop up (pops up) and says this:

Beside that, when the game finally launches anomaly main screen is presented.
When I create a new game the screen is black and nothing is happening. The sound is intact tho.

Is there any in modpack way to spawn in items? I somehow broke my PDA a while back when i accidentally unequiped it and it staked with a bunch of pda's i had on me at the time, i've been going arround the issue by droping the pda somewhere before turning in info but i just noticed that i can't craft a PDA with killtrack using it.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:

1. Open the game
2. Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3. Search SSS Settings

You'll need to delete your Anomaly folder.

1. Open your Anomaly folder, if you have any save files you want to keep, take them from this folder: Anomaly\appdata\savedgames
2. Delete your Anomaly folder
3. Extract a clean Anomaly folder (VERSION 1.5.2 IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED VERSION FOR GAMMA, if you don't have it yet, type and send !152 in #🤖bot-commands)
4. Run the installer as admin and make sure you have the latest version: 3.8 (If you don't have it, grab it here: <#📢announcements message>)
5. Click on Download GAMMA data and then click on Full GAMMA installation

@prime fulcrum I don't think it's a fps optimization issue. When I first installed the game everything was fine on high settings. I played 30hrs then all of the sudden, it laggy af... I've tried the fps optimization page and tried lowering everything and still it's unplayable.

Would reinstalling everything help?

Also restarting my computer then starting the game back up seems to help for a moment while the game is running then slams back into low fps and input lag mode.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement
