Deleting the contents of Gamma/mods and Gamma/downloads and running a full install seems to have had no effect. In game I was able to get into Agroprom going from Garbage instead of the Great Swamps, but it crashed after I walked further west into Agroprom. I've also gotten the same error in Rostok after walking north a bit from the entrance.

1. Open the game

Do this at your own risk. It is known to create a "busy actor" bug that can crash you game or corrupt saves (not positive about the latter).

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Hello guys, can someone help me out here? I've been playing for like 100+ hours and now decided to update mods.
Now I can't turn of Depth of Vision feature (i hate it lol)
Be it SSS options in Mod Manager or even Depth of Vision checkbox in regular options screen. No matter how many sliders i move or boxes check/uncheck game just literally ignores me, keeping it all on default in game.

PROBLEM SOLVED, WEAPON JAMMED, NO WEAPON SHOWN, CAN'T USE WEAPONS OR CHANGE THEM: Solution: when jamming/unjamming weapon you are unavaiable to do anything, you cannot pull of the knife, pistols, rifles, any other weapon you got is eternally invisible and won't shoot anymore until you reload a save file. Uncheck UNJAM/RELOAD MOD in MODLIST, set preference keybind for RELOADING and UNJAM, y got them in R and unjam in X. This is the only option to fix this thing I guess. Be careful not to spam buttons too much, you could again bug the weapons on a eternal loop of invisible weapons.

It was caused by an artifact, I had belted. That artifact had a -0% radiation debuff. There's a bug in the current release which causes massiv amount of radiation damage, if you even have the lowest amount of debuff. Its an calculation error. Same is valid for other elements like electricity and so on. (there's an unoffical patch available now.)
On the other hand, there is at least one really harsh radiation zone in the south of Limansk. It's by purpose. So if you have problems there, but not everywhere else, it's not the bug for you.

Don't think my issue was related to this. But, I figured I'd try disabling Mod 262 - it let me load in afterwards. I'm cool with this workaround. I could try nuking the mod and re-establishing it.

Hi, possible bug that I have no idea how to fix.
Situation:
Game already well underway, great gear, I'm on the lookout for anomalies when I find that EVERY anomaly zone seems to kill me the second I enter its zone of interest.
Already gone more than once inside the zones but never created this kind of problem.
It also seems that everything happens after I sleep in the game (emission and psy storm hapen on the nigth), if I enter the same anomaly zone before sleeping, nothing happens; after the nap I can not enter any area with anomalies....
Ideas?

I have an issue that I can't see if it has been discussed before. I'm trying to run Gamma on linux. I am able to get in game and move around, but the game will freeze for 2-3 seconds at a time, then continue with the last held key being permanently held down until the next freeze. I have the stutter fix turned on, I have removed the .ini files and shader folders from the guide. I have also turned off free zoom since a different post suggested that as a fix. Any suggestions?

NV not working for me usually meant the game was about to crash, had to do with a running animation I accidently turned on in the in-game mod config

hey does anyone know... when doing a full GAMMA install to get all the latest mod updates and stuff, I know that your settings get reverted, but what I'm experiencing after doing this today is more than just "reset", the settings have actually been tweaked, they now have different values, for instance different things are turned off/on in the advanced graphical options menu. So I guess what I'm asking is, whenever we update, does it actually "reset" our settings, or does it just go to whatever settings Grok has chosen?

BTW for all the people in here with random problems, here's something I discovered about the install process. The part where Grok specifically says to put the GAMMA and Anomaly folders straight under the C:\ drive and not in a subfolder like C:\Games\ ? You would think that was just personal preference, but it's actually important. Some of the GAMMA mods have multi-level deep folders that will exceed the NTFS file system max file path length, making those files unreachable, unless you put it directly into the C:\ drive with a short folder name exactly as he says (C:\Anomaly and C:\GAMMA).
