this was included as an optional in vanilla gamma but its ironman rougelite anyone know if the buildable workbench and buildable stashes are considered as stashes and will appear on the next run
You cant teleport them from another map. Give them a bit and hopefully they catch up. I dont have better advice as I honestly dont use companions. Sorry.

They arent typically. You can change it with a console command. Also you could do dynamic relations, but that really complicates things and can get messy, and I know nothing about it.

Try enabling bounty squads, but honestly what I am see in errors is basically its trying to spawn geists and its doing so in an apparently invalid destination.

reloading the transition autosave seemed to have "fixed" it because it respawns different mutants and such but yeah, i bet the unhandled exceptions could be caused by bad spawns

idk if it's related, but earlier today I had 30+ mutants spawn in the timed portion of the Brain Scorcher lab... One single room had 12+, everything from Karliks to daddy Bloodsuckers...
I tried taking some screenshots but they don't do it justice
had the same thing today.. also like 5 fps inside.. went god mode and cleaned up

so i binded my leaning to the side mouse buttons and everytime i press the front button to lean left (mouse 5) it zooms in, i looked at keybinds and didnt find anything binded to my mouse 5 other than lean left. does anyone know how to fix this?
44 causes some issues in general, and some with underground (also the ammo stuff) it will be coming out in probably the next update once grok confirms its not causing an issue, but I have been testing it for 4 days now, and no issues with it off, but a lot of benefit.

Ill be honest, we have found it often doesnt even work in gamma. What we do know is it causes this: Partial ammo stacks disappearing, crashes in undergrounds, inventory crashes, and potentially some alife stuff.

We pulled it a couple patches ago, but then we had an issue reported that I confirmed on my end, but it appears I had accidentally copied the mod into another mod whilst working on stuff, and since I fixed that can run fine with it off. Grok just wants to confirm on his end before removing it.

That option spawned me elsewhere as expected but the mission never "completed" so i reverted and tried the other options, they all crashed the game. so I had to revert further to avoid choosing completely and the quest completed fine

Does the BR Class value on armour do anything for the player or is it only the Ballistic Resistance value that I need to worry about?
Because some armours have the same Ballistic Res but different BR classes

i think ballistic class means higher calliber is required to deal damage
while ballistic res is how much damage will be diminished when hit with bullets

BR class and Ballistic Resistance are 2 separate stats. If you look at plates it increases resistance and also states it adds br class

im pretty far along in the game and I can tell you I am still rolling with the cs pathfinder, maxed it out, 2x compass, heart of the oasis, 2 upgraded steel, it makes a difference if i take the steel off esp against mutants.
So in theory enemies using HP ammo shouldn't pen my armour?

they do a bit though, its weird, you can even do it to them to a degree. I panicked pretty hardcore when my rifle ran dry with 2 dudes still up and didn't swap ammo from 45 hydrashock, i took down a dude with a nosorog exo and a spartan helmet
Yeah, because it seems my BR class has little to no effect on the pen value of enemies; I take damage when I get hit and only the Bullet Res seems to matter

it doesnt actually matter what ammo you find in their gun, they always shoot AP or FMJ

you will still take some damage to make sure you cant become invincible
ammo that pens your armor does full damage and is reduced by the ballistics protection

it depends on what they are using as well, for instance there was a monolith with the vhklop 50 cal thing that tore me to absolute hell with one shot, ran into another one much later when i had both compass up and it was still hurting me, but it was manageable, same armor... been stuck with the cs pathfinder since my first trip into army warehouses.
Weird question, but I keep seeing from mod suggestions that there are already female stalkers in the game/modpack, but I've genuinely never seen one- other than Hip. Are they just that rare?

So I attempted the CNPP raid with Strelok and his men and took 2 Freedom guys with me, who are in my team for a while now. All was fine until we went into the cnpp tunnels, where they started to loose their weapons and run around like headless chicks, most of the time pushing me out of cover or even into enemy fire.. The whole team - Strelok and his guys, but especially the freedom stalkers - is so freakin useless I always end up either killing them because they run into my fire or I die because of them.. It's so fucking annoying. Any mod I could add that these dumb fucks at least can't push me anymore?
On one try the 2 freedom stalkers even "lost" their weapons right at the start, when we still were out of any fight.. They ran back to the entrance in the last corner and were screaming voicelines.. I tried giving them weapons, but they don't use them.
tbh i always tell the npcs to stealth, hold fire, and wait, I solo whatever it is and move them up while I am looting to a safe spot

Yeah, you can absolutely swap other parts, but at least last time I tried I couldn't swap barrels unless I was at a vice. Like I said, maybe that changed, or maybe I tried it on one bugged gun, or who knows.

It doesnt seem to matter if they're inside it or outside that front entrance seems to break their pathing
mutants seem fine getting in and out, but I find the enemy ai gets stuck just inside the doorframe of the front room
or just outside the door on the front step for those coming in

If I even take a hint of radiation, it never goes away and it's everywhere too. What mods or option controls this? Also the random anomaly everywhere too. I just started the game as well.
Radiation will only go away with radiation protection. The further north the zone the worse it is. To remove radiation you use either cigarettes, medications, alcohol, or water. I'm unsure the specific mods that control radiation off the top of my head. What gear are you wearing?

If you are running mags you can turn on their bottom right icons. In vanilla gamma i am unsure but I do not believe so.

If mechanics don't sell them, better take them from other stalker's armour. But take parts that are good to 60% then they can be repaired with the required tool to fix.

Yes, but only when you hit certain %. If you have Heavy Sewing Kit you can repair it when it is 65%
Under those % the repair items cannot be used and you have to use the next one

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete the save.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following: interact with objects or people, use a weapon, open your inventory, drink/eat/sleep and so on.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack
- Skinning of mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects

cooking is cheap for the most part, you are wasting some cals but they are basically nothing
you will end up looting most of your cooking fuel or you can just cook the low tier meat like flesh with water in a field cooking kit which is very common
keep the food with buffs for when you need it

At the end of the day, the answer is: There is no right way to play. As long as you are having fun, play how you want. I am sure cat and I play gamma pretty differently. For instance I don't break down ammo, I just rotate guns.

Because you can't turn off just the bas also all gamma stops you from trading are weapons and armor. If you disable those you need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support as you are no longer running a vanilla list.

Does anyone craft ammo? Especially special ammo (like HP and AP ammo). The ammo scraps i seem to get from dismantling never seems to be enough to craft any normal amount of ammo.
For reference, I'm used to the new vegas ammo crafting. Does this area feel lacking? Or am I just greedy?
There's a guide at Skadovsk that can take you to Jupiter, and there's a guide at the train station in Jupiter that can take you as far south as Rostok I believe
It's more meant to supplement your ammo needs. You'll still need to buy some, as you won't get a 1:1 return ratio. But disassemble any ammo you find of a similar caliber. I'm using 5.56 right now, so I disassemble all the 5.45 that I see. Same with shotguns, I don't use slugs, so I disassemble all the slugs I find so I can get parts to make buckshot
I do a good bit of ammo crafting, though it is much more something you build up to instead of doing often
FNV you could basically skip out on buying ammo at all, just breaking down and crafting ammo that you actually want
here, the ammo recycling is balanced so that you have to either use ammo you commonly find, or buy at least a portion of your supply
but as Nova said, just breaking down ammo that you have no interest in will let you make the ammo you like
though some ammo is expensive to get via crafting and is better left to buying and looting

you will be getting better returns after earning the vigilant recycler achievement, since it gives slightly more favorable material RNG
and do keep an eye out for Powder Charges, they dismantle to metal scrap and a large portion of gunpowder
It usually only takes like 5k to refurbish a weapon (via crafting kits and whatnot) but a stack of 120 AK rounds runs about 10-15k on purchase.
Vigilant recycler? I thought that was a FNV perk 😂 how do you get the vigilant recycler achievement? An internet search proved unfruitful. (Same with powder charges, I haven't seen them yet).
the achievements have a guide in the PDA
Vigilant Recycler is given after dismantling 200 items (of any type; guns, armor, tools, junk, I think even ammo counts?)
it gives you a chance for extra material when dismantling anything, and is especially helpful with ammo, since you occasionally get more than you "should" of one of the the materials

tasks are the majority of your earnings
get tasks in the same region and you can rake in good lot of spending dosh from a simple run
ask regular stalkers, not just faction leaders and merchants
early-game looting will get you sellables to cover your own costs, not enough to get rich
Between the dense 100 Rads Bar and the Freedom base, you have two places very close to each other with a LOT of normal Stalkers to hoard tasks. Solid pay.
remember: if you are neutral with both Freedom and Duty, saving Duty hostages from Army Warehouses is most likely free money, unless Bandits managed to grab the duties

Weapon parts below 60% are vendor trash. Armor parts are always worth keeping due to crafting recipes using some parts and not caring about durability.

I personally prefer just getting that weapon type's repair kit since you can fully replace a part from a gun (making that part 100% and cleaning the gun a bit) for one charge of the repair kit
so instead of having to find an eligible part, buying the repair kit, repairing the part, then fixing the gun
just buy a repair kit and replace all the components without having to loot
if you go jumping in it (like, actually hugging the laser beams) then yes
but you can get pretty close without much worry, and quickly passing through one is doable even with pretty low psy-protection

you don't need a workbench, you just need a toolkit (any toolkit) to open the interface
if you have weapon/armor repair tools, you can fix your gear without basic/advanced/expert tools by opening the interface via drug or ammo kit
It's not base-building per se, it's more of a "furnishing" type of thing. You can craft containers, light sources, and workbenches and place them. Go into your inventory, and click "Place Item" and it'll show a silhouette (kinda) of the furniture you want to place. Move around till you're satisfied

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Hello guys, want to try this, my only question is, how's the AI doing here? Are there some mods that improve it? Anomaly ai felt, bad. You can't stalk, stealth, etc. Is there an add-on here that improves that?
straight up vanilla the AI is pretty damned good, they do all sorts of crazy things. They aren't gods though, pretty easy to get them to funnel
if they see you looting for instance, they try to sneak right up on you
Stalker Stealth is always hit&miss. not reliable no matter the mod pack
sometimes it works, sometimes not - but you can always adjust stealth settings and sliders to your own liking
right and the other good thing is the AI isn't wall hacking, you can misdirect them hella bad esp if you use like a phantom star or some such
the biggest change though is the mutants, they come in droves
speaking of the mutant population, if i lower the mutants population factor in ZCP is taht the slider i want to use if i want less of them?
Well, perhaps I saw misses and not hits! I remember the older games having a better ai? Don't know. What I mean tho, is for example, they see through grass etc, and other humans get mad the first pixel they see from me, even at a large distance.

you know how like in default anomaly every nade throwing NPC is john elway and can hit your big toe from around 3 boxes and down a corridor under a bridge, there is very little of that going on here if you drop line of sight and get somewhere else
The thing is I saw some ai add-ons fixing (kind of) some of this things, I wanted to know if getting it here for example may work, or if there is some ai addon already fixing something
only answer to that really is - try it
just bare in mind, you won't get "easy" support if it makes issues as the support in here is mostly for Vanilla Gamma - but we have an additional channel for custom lists. just takes someone actually having a clue what might go wrong with one particular addon
the other thing to keep in mind is everything sort of has a gimmick, boars for instance do NOT headshot, you need to side shot them. they can take like 4x buckshot head on.

And for Health Restoration effects, I assume that’s only restoring main HP? Or would that convert temp HP to perm on limbs too, given enough time?
the only way to restore limb hp period is to treat it or sleep. you have to use the yellow first aid items then the white permanent items. the best all around seems to be yadulin but it really jacks up your vision unless you pop an energy drink or a coffee or something afterwards
That’s what I figured. It took me a minute to get used to the limb HP system but I’ve got a good handle on that these days :D Yadulin is great, I always keep a stockpile of it for emergency heals. That dizzy effect is something else though for sure, the first few times I used it without reading closely and thought “Oh no, my dude is gonna die of overdose”
yeah there is def an order to how you want to do things. you want to drink last usually. If I am particularly tore up which happens sometimes you cant beat the rebirth thing.

its basically the limited save system where by default you can only save in sanctuaries and campfires, then when you save you have to wait i think 5 minutes for another "daddy save token"

figured out the repair kit thing, assume they come at advanced tools cause thats what you need to craft them
yeah i mean you can straight up replace the outfit parts and it brings the overall condition up or vice versa, outfit at 65% you can bring the whole thing up to 100% parts and all just with heavy sewing kit then the tubes and what not
i strugged bad, i actually had to make a heavy kit with advance toolkit, that nearly broke the bank lol. once you have it though, basically lasts forever

So i know when starting a new game to not use campfire saves because its built in with a mod but im able to save anywhere i want with f5 (quick save) but when i get near a campfire it says i cant save and need to wait because i dont have points. i want to be able to only save near campfires

i loaded in just to see if things where working and it loaded me in as a free stalker at clearsky base in the house you spawn in and near the campfire outside the building is the places i was able to use f5 to save (sorry was a typo)

is there a bug w/ the artefacts melter? I bought it, did the alt thing on a couple of artifacts, and went to try and fuse/strengthen one, nothing shows up, even tho I have 2
Okay so I dropped by the merc base in disguise and spoke to Dushman to exchange a 'cs 4a pathfinder' for a 'merc scientific suit'. After selecting the dialog I do not see any other indication what went wrong? Does this work only for a specific set of armor?

yes, you shouldnt start with AVX while using a cpu that doesnt support that feature
You really need a shotgun with buckshot or HP rounds. They'll shred you otherwise. If you're so early all you have is a pmm then try to lure them to the rookie village or the loner base
im noticing that the settings i choose seem to get over-written sometimes, particularly mouse sensitivity and fov

Is there a way to loot bodies that are behind the map transition line? Killed a bunch of monolith in the freedom quest but can't get to their bodies.
I don't think so. Or you'll hit the transition trigger or the change level trigger. If there was a command to make them visible that would be great.
