any good spots to build a base?
depends on your faction. I think in the middle of the zone, rosktok army ware house. Also the "base" would be just boxes where to put stuff

yes, above 50% you can repair them, but also they get repaired in an armor when you bring up the condition of the armor itself

you can try both avx and none and see if there is a difference in performance, but there will probably be none. seems its better to not use AVX
I wouldn't use the AVX version, chance it might try to execute an AVX instruction and crash if your CPU doesn't support it.
How much does toxic resistance should be in order not to die in toxic pounds like in 3 seconds?

Yes and plan to stay a loner as i dont really like the idea of being bossed around but plan to operate mostly out of rostok till i got better gear
go for the 74n. to be honest both guns don't have anything special going but the 74 has more ammo available at your traders. chances are you already did some quests for the loners and should be able to buy FMJ ammo

i do not advise going into Anomalies at the start, unless you have the correct suit for the anomaly you wanna dive into

I do have issues with Anomaly's RNG, where I was running in fully upgraded Exoskeleton (from Forester) and fully outfitted with artifacts/advanced armor plates before I found Basic toolkit.
I have that level of luck.

you just need to do quests and search the correct areas for marked stashes
so you are at basic tools still. you hopefully keep the toolkits and craft stuff? dont give away your only toolkit

Are marked (green?) stashes filled with fixed loot?
Stashes are empty by default; you will have to find or get coordinates to actually find something in them. These coordinates can be obtained as rewards by completing quests, by reading PDAs that you can find on the bodies of stalkers you kill, you can even threaten wounded stalkers to get them, before you kill them.
You can also buy them from traders, although the location is always random, so it could be anywhere.
Inside these stashes you can find toolkits.
In the south part of the Zone (everywhere UNDER Red Forest) is where you'll find Basic and Advanced.
In the north part of the Zone (INSIDE Red Forest and ONLY NORTH from there) is where you'll find Expert, along the other two.
You also have the gunsmithing toolkit, which is used to craft ammunition of all kinds and you also have the drug making kit, used to create drugs and medicines.
Depending on the location, north or south:
White stashes have a small chance of finding ANY toolkit inside, this means that you can find ONE basic/advanced/expert toolkit OR a gunsmithing toolkit OR a drug making toolkit.
Green stashes have a 100% chance of finding ONE toolkit from this specific pool: Basic, Gunsmithing or Drug Making kit. Advanced and Expert are random and depend on the area the stash spawned in.

Thats' why I hate the rng mechanics, because it hates me.
Getting same result many times in a row with a 50% chance is completely normal to me.

i have seen things "roll" when opening the stash, and i had times where on a reloaded save the stash had different items.
one recent example: first time it had a saiga dushman with a suppressor on it and 2 parts functional. second time the saiga didnt have a suppressor and only one functional part
i believe not everything is affected by this, but i am almost certain items are created when opening the stash

To clean your "shaders_cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Why cant you trade with random stalkers?
Gamma economy. If you want a lore reason: Gear is hard to come by these days, and they need to keep hold of what they have. But effectively its to ensure no weird bugs with the trading allowing you to skip gamma economy would be my guess.

all the economy changes like trader progression and not being able to sell or buy guns and armor and the NATO/WP trader system

also, looking at the scripts it seems to control some aspects of npc loot drops and a few other economy and progression related changes
Not really, just open launcher through mo2 click debug, click save settings in bottom right.
NPCs seem to drop alot more ammo or at least they do based on the settings I've been using.

It always annoyed me even when the drops setting was turned up in base Anomaly that NPCs dropped like 10 bullets...you mean to tell me a dude was walking around the Radar with 10 bullets?
lower difficulty settings cause increased drop rates and many aspects are easier
They do drop more ammo as you dont have to right click -> unload gun, they are unloaded automatically.
I like more realism. I want to kill in a few bullets but also be killed. I don't like things being difficult for the sake of being difficult. Speaking of realism...they made it so you got all kinds of ways to put in new barrels and bolts but whoever made it is forgetting (unless I didn't find it yet) very very basic gun maintenance. For example it really is needed to scrub the chamber with a metal wire brush to get all the gunk out otherwise you have jams. Its like if they had for medical aid surgery but no bandages, it wouldnt make alot of sense. Just my 2 centws

The way that is replicated is if you keep the gun clean the internal parts wont take damage for a bit and when they do, they take less. If the gun is kept dirty the parts will break quickly.
Yeah I see that, I just wish for all the gun meaintinence parts they have just give me a wire brush. Maybe I'm just damaged lol from the hours spent scrubbing chambers when I was a kid.
And also the dirtier, or more broken parts are, the more likely a jam will occur
There are cleaning kits so in your head think of it as the old winchester box that has all the brushes and swatches and buffers.

That would depend on the MAGS Redux team. GAMMA does not use mags by default but does come with the ability to turn mags redux on.
Which Skat-9 is better? Freedom or duty version?

KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it. The only safe way to do so, is by loading a save where you don't have the mod enabled or by starting a new game.

why is it that when you turn Vsync on, frame rate drops? In the same area when I have vsync off I get 1110-120fps but as soon as I turn it on it drops to 72-80 consistently

My quicksaves used to be instant - but now taking avg 20 seconds.

Update your gamma for one, as you have an old version if this happened. Then try this: try this debug menu> execute npc logic (if I remeber correctly) put correct name and smart terrain in fields

I dont believe it will still count if you put a new patch on via disguise system. And no it doesnt have to be repaired, but you get the same durability you give. So if you full repair youll get full repair in return

i think it's a bug in 1.5.2, the weapon turns invisible but you can still shoot/reload, the only way to make it appear again is hiding and bringing it back again with the keybind

In the beginning it works with dx11. I tryed with dx10 and dx9 (cause of freeze with dx11) but it didnt work. Does this means I cant play with dx11 since now?
dx11 works fine for me, If you are having performance issues and dx10 works better for you then use 10, also dx9 is not supported.

They occur randomly I tested it at Stalker Camp corssing the road side to side and eventually it happened but dissapear quickly

Hello this is my 1st play through of STALKER I only played the game a few times before but never finished it, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do next in my area/faction. I selected Freedom and I have a quest in Jupiter it looks like but the psy is to powerful for me and I can't figure out what to do around me, I have not even completed one quest 😦
You want to just do some quests in the southern part of map
and get psy helmet from sakharov in yantar
do not go to red forest or anywhere that north or higher or you will likely be fukt
SV98 is bolt action
do smaller quests, gear up and farm. start in the south (Cordon, Garbage, Swamps) - once you are better geared go to Yantar and talk to the scientists, get the Psy Helmet

It was me, but to be fair, I said that I was unable to reproduce it, on vanilla gamma. And honestly it still hasnt happened to me, and you would be shocked at how many times I have to change FOV when doing certain things.

My hud FOV bounces between whatever weird default exists all the way up to 100 depending on what I am working on. To be fair I do usually reset it back to default before closing game though
i dont know, in gamma i have the hud fov to 0.6 to be able to not see the animation, but in vanilla anomaly with 0.7 it was enough

you can repair individual parts of armour before replacing it in an armour, but you dont need to, you ultimately just need to get armour to 65% then you can use heavy sewing kit to get to 100% (and then that makes all components 100%)

Parts you do NOT need the part repair kit, but it allows you to repair parts that are as low as 10%. Anything over 50 use file or ramrod or multitool.
There is a texture update on them, but not on by default. I believe you can type !HDmodels into bot commands though and it will help

What version of gamma are you on? I havent seen that since the 1.5.2 update. But basically dont alt-tab. Dont hit ESC if you need to pause or walk away hit Pause Break or save and close.
I think Falco even deleted the command because I dont see it on the list anymore

Oof you dont want to watch me play anomaly, its boring tbh, a ton of inv managment and running between a and b. I almost never fast travel, and I loot and take back everything, so Its alot of me staring at boxes. But if you do want to see people who know what they are doing play, I would recommend Solarint or Hey Blondie (Blondie is not playing gamma, but he does use some of the same mods)

okay, i think i'm an idiot or reading this wrong: the AMO says that fusing two artifacts from the recipe menu produces an artifact with the average condition of the used ones. i have a 100% black angel and miser's skull, and i'm attempting to use this recipe, but the output artifact only has 31% efficiency. are condition and efficiency different things?
does GAMMA have the suppressor mod that improves handling and recoil at the expense of reliability? or does it use the vanilla anomaly 20% damage reduction?

is it just my game or did shifting items from one inventory to another got quite stuttery with the past few updates?
I remember it being quite smooth when shift+hovering the items
it always was for me

if your inventory is empty and you shift 1 or 2 items from a stash that only have them then yeah it's smooth

I've been using a knife in a vision slot and a pistol in the knife slot and I've had no issues so far

Ok I'm curious as to why you need to do this, but they should go off unless you change maps. However with 100rads in particular that is a different smart terrain though I'm unsure if that matters tbh
