it just loads in some specific color grading for your visuals.

Not really. Material map/image is different than the one for details. There is one for terrain, one for materials one for details (grass). Only that they have usually things in common, like the road has one colour, that will be asphalt, but on the detail map it will have the fallen leaves on it.
The details are generated randomly in a way, but is determined by the detail map, so You 'paint' it in practice, by hand.
Idk texture atlas in 10240x10240 takes 65-70mb and actual meshes for gras takes 2-5mb so its gonna be 30x 3,5mb + 2x 67mb(10k textures) + 2x 45mb (4K textures)+ lil bat/exe program that gonna copy textures to all folders its not gonna be big since I’m using same textures for all levels
👍 that’s almost what i was imagining from looking on it in blender, there is no way someone would do this by had and that glitch is probably caused by wrong noise implementation but nobody cares nowadays to fix this since we use only old maps, thank god we got eraser and can edit by hand those anomalies

The roads are definitely done by hand. The grass areas has noise in them, yes. But the road is practically handpainted, usually yellow, one colour, no noise, maybe a little transparency at the edges.
What did you look at in blender?
By hand in blender .detail 
from that picture i can guarnatee you they are generated also when u zoom up patterns on road look similar to those on ground imo i don't thing human would change color in straight line without making any transition

There is a file only in sdk. It can be manipulated in image editors, can be in theory in blender too, on the terrain. But editing it won't change grass since that is compiled into the levels, .detail files, cannot be edited in any way

Yeah I knew that the levels can be imported into blender, but editing them means the geometry has to be recompiled into the map, afaik You cannot export palyable edited levels from Blender straight into game.
Honestly, the possibility of grass editing is also too much info to consume already...
And yeah, if You change gemoetry, that would need AI map change too, otherwise NPCs will travel through obstacles...
i can send you bar geometry that have smooth ramps on almost all stairs and it is playable without any complications even npc can walk on it
didn't have problem with playing on it maybe on dx9 there is problem since you need to bake lightning but on dx11 everything works fine
@dire needle, can your geometry edits make the player not be able to climb onto the Garbage hills, like in Stalker SoC? and maybe make the player very slow in swamp water in GS, like in Stalker CS?

you need "flags" that tell player code that you are in water and mov speed on steep hills is probably only in player code but that is just my assumption from other engines

i would guess your saturation is too low and your gamma is too high
try using saturation and brightness to adjust the light and leave your gamma on like 0.8 or 9
also the mask overlay you’re using probably adjusts the image too

If you're gonna do terrain textures aswell, please make sure that the mounds far away match the grass colors. This is smth i see in a lot of other tex packs where the terrain looks extremely different from the grass itself, in color or luminance ~ and it even happens excluding terrain gloss from rain or grass specularity.
if you can achieve an uniform color in that aspect, it's gonna look great

If you search this channel, I've posted the zip folder for that reshade if you wanna download and try its presets out.
The current preset I play with is the Hunter 2.0 Warm+ option that's been tinkered with somewhat.

I fucking finally found a way of have a good interior light and darker nights at same time, fuck it was driving me crazy, unfortunately this will delay my project for some time since I need to edit every night time of each weather again 
Yeah do tell what those custom textures are. GTR is solid but ground/terrain textures with good parallax support are hard to find. Or are those the Misery Terrain Textures I see there?

iirc Anomaly Custom uses a bunch of custom textures, especially for vegetation
Maybe you could try Late Fall -> ADEGAZR+ -> MBTT with something like Aydins' Autumn/Winter (even though Late Fall already ships the Winter version I think) and you'll see some of this difference
only way to achieve the same results would be to get the textures from Anomaly Custom and/or use custom textures from somewhere else
looking at the original screenshot I'd say the combination I mentioned with Aydin's autumn + ABNORMAL Weather would look pretty effing close
