Ehhh. The starting weapons suck. The only time I ever even finished SoC, the only "mod" I used was one to keep it from crashing at a certain point. I never finished Clear Sky or CoP though, and the closest I came to finishing CoP was when Gunslinger came out.

I didn't finish Clear Sky because I got frustrated with the faction war aspect of it. I didn't finish CoP because I'd always get to the tunnels going to Pripyat, get bored, and just move on to other things. I had to force myself to finish that tunnel run and actually see Pripyat for once even with Gunslinger.

SoC is the best of the trilogy, imo... And it really doesn't need mods.
