damm idk why but capping the game at 48 fps make my game runs very smooth, it allow me to to set nearly all options on high -epic on a 2080 s in 1440p , now the game feels really good, the weird part is the gaming idk why but feels smoother at 48 than 50, in both case framerate capped feels solid, weird
as a note: the game has a disgusting bug with the mist setting on interior: on medium has weird behaviour like this one , the best thing to avoid this is setting the mist on ultra
I'd imagine it's because 48 is exactly 80% of 60, since your monitor is probably 60hz, your pc will be able to pace the frames more evenly with the refresh rate

If you mean in GAMMA, this is the wrong place (stalker 2). Anyway, remove YACS from the launcher and you will remove the bonfire saves and can youse regular quicksaves.
Huh yermeneyev gives you a high capacity G37 magazine once you complete his side quest about getting the stuff to make a psi suit. Better than nothing.

Shay has a campfire/base save mostly set up, just not as many campfires to save at compared to MHM's
You don't really realize a lot of the campfire locations either until you have to rely on them for saves. Like the one Northeast of Azimuth.

I think GSC did a decent job as a follow up to the trilogy. Optimization, bugs, and general a life problems aside. It feels like a stalker game imo.

The game is too static imo for repeated playthroughs. Sure you can make different decisions and get a different ending but everything else is absolutely static.

Yeah, They shrunk the Red Forest way too much. Half of it you can't even explore because if you walk into the tree line there goes your mind.

I saw someone say "you can pick and choose what you play with" that's great, except that doesn't work all that well with these games. The issue is, there is no picking and choosing, most mods will be centered around anomaly slop, and people are gonna be trying to recreate anomaly slop in HOC, freeplay mods, big gameplay mods, will all mostly follow anomaly slop because the community is now permanently degraded and ruined because of that horrid standalone modpack 
CoC was an absolutely fantastic thing, and someone decided not only to port MISERY, but then someone else thought "Man what if we took a janky port of a CoP mod ontop of this barely developed thing and made it even jankier"
CoC felt like DMM, it was for the most part pure, and a good stepping stone into making a "stalker game" what you wanted, but now it's all just anomaly slop.

Doesn't promote meaningful conversation, but once again, that idea in itself is great. I think part of the issue is that Anomaly became the mainstream Stalker game for a while. It was a lot of the communities first dip into the world. So people think that it is the norm.
That is 100% the issue, and that's one of my problems with it. I just wish Anomaly wasn't the norm, there's a reason why "play the trilogy" is often said, cause anomaly shouldn't be your first stalker experience, it's for the most part, nothing like what stalker actually is.

Closed building, Empty areas where nothing really spawns. It is a pacing issue for sure. Post Sircaa it basically just becomes a linear story.

As for the free roam stuff. I don't think I would ever play with the main story disabled. I would enjoy more side quests, dynamic stuff, and a reason to keep exploring.

with the new official updates it runs a lot smoother and maps are pretty much overhauled
I feel like Tarkov is another major influence on the modding scene. A lot of mods are dedicated to moving systems from Tarkov into stalker.

I agree that there is too much action, I've seen very few guarded posts/areas and a lot of fights. Looks very similar to CoP, where alife was sort of "guided" toward showing you conflict or action.
Problem is as well, when in "offline" they sometimes don't fight and don't avoid danger areas atm from what I could see, leads to some funny situations when they get rendered in

HoC really needs story mods, could be a great way to make fresh experiences on this map, for now i just know that Point of No Return it's planned to have a new storyline but nothing more about story mods or freeplay mods with new stories.
