If you look in the console, you can see that there are parts for weapons as item names.

There'sthings like extended magazine, paired magazines, etc - then there's things called "default" attachments for weapons - these are items for weapons that are TECHNICALLY on your weapons but they are its default state. And so there are also items for this upgrades you make - these are just attachments you dont take off

FOr whatever reason, upgrade modules for things like flash suppressors and muzzle brakes are almost redundant to the attachments you put on and take off. Dunno why they're two seperate systems

But they have no inventory model, and they pretend to not be "real"

That being said, when you take a suppressor off of a gun - and it goes back to it's unsuppressed state - the game quite literally auto-attaches a "default" barrel state to it

lol it's not an anti blur mod, it just fixes apparently an eff up (if you have a higher end card) where the highest texture LOD wasn't being used so it caused blurry textures even on epic

Something I was thinking about, why don't the positions of the anomalies in the game world change after each emission? if they did then nobody could establish a town or a settlement in the zone because an anomaly might appear inside of a building in use after an emission. So instead of towns or settlements there would be evac locations and all the towns would be on the edge of the zone. Economically that makes more sense, people find stuff in the zone and bring it out through those border locations. So the factions would still have their areas in the zone but they would be based on the edge of the zone for each area. The only thing that would make sense for current locations to remain the same is that towns and settlements have some kind of anomaly deflector installed AKA plot device so there could be some quest to knock off a faction by sabotaging their deflector.

Well it would be more exciting and you can take a chopper back into the zone just specify where it should drop you off so no more walking and running everywhere. EVAC cost money but if you have at least one artifact the EVAC is free. Still cost money to take a ride back in though.

Some areas that are more dangerous would require at least one artifact to be extracted or they don't come even for money

The EVAC locations change after each emission too and this way you don't have to suffer to zero percent armor and weapons before making it to a nearby town or be overweight and lug it all through bugged a life spawns

Once your Bubble moves into range of a possible anomaly spot the game checks if the last emission randomized it to be on or off. done

Yeah but they also wound up giving you a ton of different debuffs. You'd have to do some weird shit like make yourself super succeptible to burns/bleeds just to be resistant to bleeding. Or you'd be super bleedable just to resist radiation at all.

If you look at it in terms of pure stats, you actually get better advantages out of the Stalker 2 artifacts without any debuffs. Every single game other than SoC has the same balance for artifacts, just a buff with a radiation debuff.

shcsherba is not where he was first encountered either I checked. I even loaded a save slightly less than half way through X5 so I went back out and looked for the guy he was already gone. He used to be bugged and stayed there with patch 1.1.1 but the devs tried to fix him in patch 1.1.2 and this is what we all get.

I have a trainer that lets me teleport so I set dvupalov's lab as a teleport point and when I got out of X5 I teleported to see if it was a time limit issue but nope no sherba anywhere

I have been loading a save just before I pick up the blueprints and the key to the nearby door over and over again it doesn't make any difference the guy is never there later on.

The only console commands that work correctly right now are start quest and finish quest type of commands. Nothing works reliably when trying to change stages of a quest or start one quest node and end another. UE5 really sucks for this kind of stuff and this is the wake up call for it I guess.

Do the Ward ever act unreasonable or try to screw you over?The Stalkers we encounter are a varied bunch. Some are helpful and jovial like Richter, others fuck you over and lie to you. Squint is the first one you'll likely run into. He tricks you into going into an artifact cave with a Bloodsucker without warning because 'you wouldn't go in there otherwise'. If not for Skif being the protag, he likely would've died since the player is wearing a leather jacket and has a beat-up AK and double barrel shotgun at best. There are others like the Spark guy who uses you as mutant bait, the guy who tricks you into getting extorted etc etc.

By contrast, I've never run into a quest where the word tries to screw me over, withhold rewards, lie about the danger etc. Korshunov and Ward sidequests are straight-up about the risk involved and there's never any point where they try to stiff Skif on payment or bullshit him about the dangers. I expected some Ward quests where they basically try to extort me, demand me to do a quest or what have you, but I haven't ran into it despite finishing one playthrough and going for my second. Likewise, the Ward share the same sense of camarederie and brotherhood many of the Stalkers do rather than being distant and apathetic.

also main dog avoids you, most of the time. Look for the one who isn't biting at your ankle

you can't grenade the dog when friendlies are around either grenade or underbarrel so shooting it is effective but if you run out of ammo after a few shots then it takes forever
