Making some concepts about the medieval plague set in an anthro alternative universe where infected rodent anthros become rabid-like and attack others on top of already suffering the same symptoms as others before they eventually die of exhaustion

So some people started worshiping "Saint Pestina" in the image of a female rat, thinking the plague is not the end of time but birthing of a new one, by burning the old world down so a new one can begin, bring forth by the all equal "gift" of her, choosing rodents to be her flocks to spread the plague even faster

The Origin 78 is better than the Revive and the Gquuux 78 is by far the best 78 variant in my opinion

Hey there peeps! Haven't posted here in a while because I've been on a grind, practicing my basics for two months straight. Here's my first drawing in a long while, and I'm pretty fucking proud of it. Sadly, it's still not STALKER related, so sorry for those looking for that HAHA. (It's actually an OC I created for a new roleplay group, in which everyone plays the role of an incarnation of a Sin. Mine is Lust, so I went crazy with it. 😌 )

It's actually my first fully rendered drawing ever. Never bothered with shadows and highlights before (because I'm a huge coward), but after practicing shadowing 3d shapes for a while, I figured it was time to make the jump~

My shadows probably don't fully make sense but hey, I'm learning as I go.

The easiest way to explain what that means is that certain people in that universe are essentially imbued with the spirits of animals which allow them to take on pseudo-transformations of that animal.

The one you see is a crow. In the manga as main characters go you also have the bear, the fish, and I think the girl was a swan. Being as they are part animal most people view +Anima as lesser beings and they are often enslaved, abused, or sometimes just killed.

yeah that "style" is because I can't paint for shit yet so I'm coloring with the fill tool and adding nuance on top afterwards lol 😭 Eventually I'll learn how to color and blend more properly but I'm focusing more on anatomy/posing, perspective and shadowing these days

The one thing I'm really proud of and can say I "master" (for someone of my level) is the cleanliness of the line

I def need to vary the weight of the lines a bit more sometimes, but they're really clean, I've practiced that a lot and there's barely any wobbliness in it nowadays!

Your line work is damn near immaculate. From here I'd say it's all about building the scene, Shading, depth, etc. Making it feel more real. tbh idk where your other works are that I've saved. Even though that makes this one a little special.

I believe in saving art for the purpose of posterity. A fair number of musical artists on YouTube have been deleted recently and I count myself lucky I was able to save even a portion of their music before it got taken away.

Easiest way to tell is the barrel shroud. On the MG 34 the barrel shroud is round and Swiss cheese holes. On the MG 42 it's square and scalloped (larger elliptical cutouts instead of round)

iirc the MG 34 did not have a quick-change barrel but it did have the advantage of weight and 'handiness'. The MG 42 had a slight advantage of being shorter and technically more maneuverable but it was just as heavy so it's length advantage was pretty negligible in the end. The MG 42 lead to the MG 3 which is great. At the same time there would have been no MG 42 without the MG 34. The MG 34 was also made in higher numbers iirc. Either way those GP MGs were revolutionary fot thir time such that they find their place in modern designs. The German Bundeswehr has them in spades, all based off the MG 42.

Well, everyone knows MG42 but not everyone knows MG34, so that's why often people think that MG34 is just a 42 with weird looking barrel. Video games aren't helping either

MG-34 had a quick change barrel. It was favoured for use in AFV's entirely for it's style of changing the barrel being more suitable than the 42's. MG-42 also had a higher production number. The main reason the 42 replaced the 34 was just for ease of production and being cheaper to make.
