To recruit random stalkers as companions:

1. Talk to the leader of the squad.
2. The size of the squad must be within your limit (by default you can't have more than one companion at the time).
3. Your rank value must be at least 1.5 times higher than that of the squad leader.
4. Squad leader must consider you friendly (depends on your rank, reputation, faction relations and more).

Requirements 3 and 4 don't apply to paid companions, but they are rarer overall and can only be found among Loners, Bandits, Mercenaries and Freedom.

Stashes/gun racks/fridge: click "Take all" on empty stash
Backpacks: place and double click the last item after you emptied it with the "Take all" button
Doors and walls: break them with melee
Sleeping bags and tents: right click tent bag/sleeping bag sack and use when near
Campfires: can't be picked up, however you can delete them by enabling their deletion on map change in mod config menu > campfires placeable
