You have to keep the left stick toward the rim. If the stick is neutral, you will do a stepback.

Keep turbo held as well and make sure you dont start too early. Also make sure you have your animations equipped

Different animations have different launch points. If you dont have any that can launch from the free throw line, you wont get a dunk.
