Seems like they're in "tiers" based on how many attributes you have in the category. There's a finishing tier on 6'11s that'll let you take a 87 driving dunk to 93 with 3 cap breakers. Think there's a couple that let layup/dunk go from 60ish to 80ish. There's a defense one that'll let you take a 60 steal to 73 with 2 cap breakers. Ball handle/speed with ball goes up fast too.

Most valuable one seems to be 3 pt. I took my 37 up to 80 with 5 breakers.

Fix Early/Late glitch with button shooting (button shooting is unusable)

NERF fading, especially behind screens. Nobody said patch it! Make it completely Green or Miss, not only Tempo being green.

Fix the very weak shot contest system (also apart of fading being unreasonably unguardable), and the most simple dribble causing your character to lose balance resulting in an ankle breaker

Removing slingshot entirely.

Slingshot was what forced you to miss most of your shots in 25, people blame RNG but dont realize that RNG is just a chance for you to miss -- not missing based on opponents skill level, and game score. But in 26, it's literally just random steals, and being called for out of bounds and charging fouls, etc.

Nobody asked for the update to be like this. This is the last game before the biggest game of the decade releases and they're messing up. AGAIN.

This is what i got from the patch based of experience and videos:
you should use tempo on middy fades (still valid)
You should only use button on standstill and catch and shoot
And dont fade 3s at all
