i have a 96 driving dunk and use legend posterizer with every contact dunk animation and the green window for dunking on dudes that are my size with a 80 interior defense is abysmal like i need a magnifying glass to see the green

also when the game caps ur fps at 60 timing a meter is basically the same as blindfolding me and telling me to just release it when i feel like its a green

I noticed that I had to let go of my shot button a crazy amount of time early to have a chance to maybe hit a random green.
Then there is a clip where I'm wide open with Trae Young who is also rested, and he has such a small green window it might not even be there.

I went from 50-60% shooting in 2k25 to 5-10% in 2k26 on open shots. I don't even count layups.. Rhythm shooting is also not an option so far as there is like a 1-2 second "hickup" before they do anything in regard to shooting animations.

It would be nice if I could compare it to other players but most do no shotmeter or if they do, they have no gamepad overlay.. so if anyone has some clips/videos I can use for comparison..

I don't agree with this. I do think that they will buff steals, but I don't want people to get steals for free without effort. The problem is that the green window for fades is too large. Lower the normal green window by 5%, and lower the green window for fades by an additional 2%-5%

I don’t think steals should be effortless but this is undeniably the worst defensive 2k in history. Offense is fun to me but if I put all my stats into defense I should be able to play defense. I’ve been a lockdown since 2k15, a 7’4 with 40 ball handle shouldn’t be able to dribble near me HoF glove without consequences. My 92 PD, 90 strength, and 85, agility should stop people but I don’t get defensive movements that are as quick and reactive as offensive dribble moves. I don’t think steals should be as simple as hitting square but if when the ball goes through my body when I perfectly time a steal with defensive badges… a 99 3 can hit fades, a 99 ball handle can break ankles and get blowbys, a 99 dunk can dunk on people with ease, but a 99 steal does absolutely nothing and all steals in the game are entirely accidental

Yeah plucks are nonexistant right now. I get 90% of my steals from bumps, and the other 10% from interceptions (though I only have 60 steal admittedly). Defenders just move slower in a lot of cases. Like yes, a skilled player can play defense this year, but it's a lot harder for a skilled player to play defense than it is for a skilled player to play offense, because of how easy offense is

We have talked about this before in this same chat. The problem isn’t the highest 10% of players shooting well with rhythm or button. The problem is the bottom 50% of players would shoot worse (many of them, much worse) with button than rhythm and it reduces the skill gap.

Last year, you had to time both timing and tempo in order to green a shot. To compensate for having to time 2 things and not just 1, the green window was larger. So rhythm shooting was "better" because the green window was larger.

This year, they wanted to let you shoot early or late on purpose (I do like this personally, and use this on occasion), so they made it so that you only have to time the tempo, but the green windows are the same size.

i find it very odd how small my green window is for a having a 99 3pt and shooting legend badges. Is everybody zenning this year because ive gone thru 10 different jumpshots and switched from button to tempo back and forth and yet i still miss shots i see so many people make. I feel scammed and mistreated by this game in everyway possible. Im not sure if this is a suable offense but I believe 2k is purposely making me miss to try and make me spend more money on a new build. Again I have no idea what to do.
