I went through the whole first half outscoring my opponent - shooting 100% and getting 6 assists pleading these guys to play any sort of team ball. At a certain point if they are spam calling for the ball, chucking it up, putting it up on the whole team in the paint with a tiny guard- by the middle of the 3rd quarter I’m done putting energy into playing defense or doing anything for that matter. I’m aware there’s a certain type of player that gives up early when things don’t go thier way and I’m patient. If I’m having a bad game or can’t guard my man I’ll stop shooting or communicate and switch etc.At a certain point we stopped trying it was that bad. Why play 5v5 when you can’t even play your position correctly. Think what you want but I spend a lot of time working on defense and I typically play it very well

I think shooting is fine. We just need to learn and improve. Gameplay this year is amazing. Yes, it is more challenging. But being able to combine movement, dribbling, shooting, and other intangibles feels more rewarding.

Yearly, we complain and say that the game is just the same as last year. We say it's just a "roster update" without any major change. Finally they gave us something that feels different. ProPlay is really good. Don't be surprised that a new game has new challenges. If it has the exact same mechanics as 2K24, we'll all still be complaining.

@sweet prairie Yea it's a bit weird and it took me a lot to start shooting above 50% my advice would be:

1. Get your hot and lethal zones- these boost shooting in those spots by like 10-30 percent so a huge advantage to have those.
2. Your shooting ratings might be too low- I feel this year really rewards people with high overalls and it's harder to shoot with anything below an 80 (just an observation personally, i'm sure people are shooting just fine below 80)
3. Find the right jumper- different jumpers have different green windows and percentages so some jumpers are just statistically better than others. Knowing your jumpshot cue is critical, the shot speed isn't static so knowing where in your jumper you need to let go is critical.

if you need a suggestion for a jumper, let me know your height and highest shooting overall between middy and 3pt

Behind the back animations are a package of different animations there is:

Size up btb- basically standing still doing a btb
Moving btb- while you're driving down court btb
Agressive btb- you do a move like a hesitiation and flick the stick diagonal down twice and it will launch you forward to the basket.
Escape btb- If you do a move like a hesi, then flick diagonal down

that's not RNG, that's just how shooting works this year. The green window for shots is linked to the animation, and the animation is sometimes slower or faster than normal. So if you release at the same time every shot, without considering the animation, you will inevitably start missing shots. But if you time your shot based off of your animation's release, then your shots should go in

I will say, I did play MyTeam in 23. But I straight up ignored 24, because (on PC, we've been stuck on last gen), nothing actually changed about the game for me. I think it definitely felt better at times, and the beginning of MyTeam does not feel amazing. I don't feel much of any inclination to actually play it, and spend most of my time grinding MyCareer right now. But I assume MyTeam will (hopefully) improve as the year goes on. I have played a little bit of PlayNow as well, and I think all the new animations and stuff makes every player feel so much more like themselves. I’m sorry but every mode I’m in people are getting WAY too many steals for it to even be enjoyable.
Like before it’s even passed they are flying out of nowhere. iRL nba games that are 48mins the best teams average 8 steals per game. So why are teams getting more than that in a 21 pt -5/10 min park game? Just cuz they made a high steal build?

Game is just not fun. they don't plan on fixing anything contest defense is non existent in this 2k, paint defense doesn't exist everyone plays with real player % rim run easy layups the contest does not matter the layup is going in, lane steals are overpowered with people teleporting to grab the ball, shooting is impossible at times with rng and all the different animations changing the jumpshot, sbmm is insane, top players are deranking themselves to reverse boost and play against casuals. Probably in the top worst 2ks alongside 12 18 and 21.

Hi, I started playing NBA 2k24, I had it downloaded to my computer for a long time and I saw so many ads for NBA 2k25 that I decided I wanted to play a basketball game.

So I started playing but I don't really know how to play it. I started Career, I bought some animations, I play matches (I lose most of them 3-4) but apart from that I don't know what to do in this game

I think the game might get boring for me quickly, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it's very slow to earn money, I earn 600 VC from each match and it's going very slowly, I have a cooperation with ruffs and I don't know how to get the point out of this
