This is one of the worst 2k’s to have ever released. Shot contests are broken, layups are broken, the game is forcing you to shoot with your stick, at this point ratings don’t matter and this is easily one of the most unenjoyable 2ks I’ve played since 2k18.

With the previous update the players dunk more often and not only go for layups all the time and now mostly layups, the sweat its not so realistic than before and in replays the FPS go down a little. shooting is horrible, even if you make a build make sure you have a 95 three ball to just make 3s constantly. a tip for anybody making a build. high three high steal high speed and your set anything else doesnt mean anything in this game. rec is not fun that sucked out the fun for casuals. keep the high difficulty on proving ground and pro am. why do we have to sit there with a magnifying glass and look for every detail in my animation just to make a 3 doesnt make anysense and there is a huge dely on transistion when your going on defence i am purposly being stuck there for 5 secs before i can even move and i have a 85 agility. fix your game i paid 250 dollars just to be drained and bored out my mind

@regal thicket I think how shooting should work is you only have a pure green window when you have a high 3pt rating, so maybe for example you have an extremely small one at like 85 3pt, but any rating under that you are subject to rng. And as your 3pt rating increases so does the pure green window. This will allow for shooting to be easier to understand, and promote build diversity as a higher 3pt rating (which is expensive) is the only way to truly control your make %.

I also think all these different speed ups, load ups, etc. are generally bad for the game at least the way they are now. It feels like for these types of shots, your visual cue changes slightly, or it's just ridiculously hard to react to the cue off of these crazy speedups. On a stand-still shot, you should always get the exact same animation, just like it should always be the exact same off a catch-and-shoot, etc.

But tbh, I dont think shooting is that bad this year. It just feels pretty inconsistent.

It's good that it's hard but it shouldnt feel like my release point is changing.

Best part is that nowhere in the game does it state the badge elevator’s limitations, they actually say the opposite. Season Pass says “Permanently boost a badge of your choice by +2 levels, instantly”. Badges tab says “Badge Elevators are used to raise your badges by up to 2 or 3 levels.” Is this not blatant lying? Why would people grind future seasons at all after finding out how useless every lvl 40 reward will be?

Hello, I am a steam player that is REALLY frustrated right now because my controller is messed up in NBA 2K24 (in any other game its perfectly fine) I use a nintendo switch controller on PC (steam) so basically, i joined the game after a long break and realised that the controller presses buttons on the keyboard, for example, I used (B which is A on xbox) to skip the intro, but now instead of using B, I have to use A (which is B on xbox) and it shows that im pressing the button "2" on the keyboard, I've tried EVERYTHING as redownloading, changing settings, even changed the template of the controller and still yet nothing has worked. I really want to play this game but I can't, please DM me if you have a fix.

There is an issue in this game where defensive matchups keep switching on their own... Making for terrible mismatches that you'd never want... You have to keep pausing and going to matchups and taking players off assignments... Is there a thread about this issue where the devs are aware?
