Suggestions for Rec: Instead of the same generic Rec Jerseys and Arena how about randomly generated NBA jerseys and NBA arenas that are already in the game. Also instead of useless AI bots that canā€™t shoot, make free throws, or play any defense how about randomly generated NBA AI player models that actually have attributes and badges. Also, I think it would be dope if you can load into the Rec with 2 of your builds and then you can make substitutions and play with your other build. This would create a realistic basketball simulation, making more tactical and situational matchups.

Ya shot meter makes me nuts. U can do full meter and miss cuz 7% contested, thatā€™s realistic, or be open and meter doesnā€™t quite fill but in green and still miss. I swear they manipulate it just to make the game harder. And online games are even worse, meter is totally faster and seems totally based on defender rating and not how well u shoot or fill the meter. Why make the game harder for non pro-am players and repel new people trying to start, makes no sense.

Would just love to know how we're supposed to get any reverse layups when the cpu sticks to me like gorilla glue and has the lateral quickness and recovery speed of Usain Bolt when my ai teammate sets up a screen so I can get a drive along the baseline. Seriously the collision animations in this game are f'n comical.

Slithery finisher is a f'n joke sometimes because I stg if I go anywhere near the paint, best believe Im getting bodied up if there is a defender within 10 feet of me. When Im in the corner and try to juke past my man to drive to the basket, there is an invisible force that forces me to slow down and wait for my man to get in front of me. They cant figure out a way to code the AI to make them play better so they just give them bs animations to create an artificial challenge.

And dont even get me started on the amount of red contest layups and mistimed shots they hit. Meanwhile if there is a defender within eye distance of you, you're getting a ghost contest that throws your entire jumpshot timing off. Its so dumb.

Im just so over the goofy animations of this game. I want this game to be good and I feel like instead of sitting down and actually fixing the core issues of the game, they try to find the quickest and most lazy solution to the problem and advertises it as fixed so they can sell more copies. Its nothing but a big cash grab for them and it breaks my heart.

One thing I would suggest is dial down the clamp animations from players with low perimeter defense and no clamps badge. It's so frustrating when Damian Lillard is clamping me up like Kawhi Leonard whenever I try to drive.

The gameplay just doesn't feel rewarding. The player should feel rewarded for beating the AI when in reality, I feel like I have to constantly beat the AI with cheesy moves because the mechanics for AI defending are so juiced that even if you make the right read and play, the AI still stops it.

I feel like that in the 4th Quarter at times. I remember last year mentioning here that the AI seems to improve at defending all forms of offense not just what you've done. They overhauled the AI some this year since it wasn't responding to defensive settings well in myLeague so it should improve. They do bite on fakes and misdirections if you can pull them off. The higher the difficulty the less it happens but it ssems to happen more than last year

The gameplay for this game still sucks. Unless you're using a player with over 90 for stats. Even then it's a 15% you will actually make the shot.

If you're playing mycareer, since you start with very low stats. The gameplay is even more horrible.

it makes some sense to me. If the game had steal attempts linked to right stick movement, like flick left for left arm attempt and down for a downward swipe, it'd be more 'skill based.' Currently it feels more random. Seems like the player has to be in position and time the attempt, but also hope it's the correct animation for what the offensive player decides to do. Which makes it difficult especially for anyone using rotation of the camera after a defensive rebound

You have to know what's a good shot or not in 2k logic. If it is contested it normally isn't going in. Use screens pick and pop and plays to get open.

I could be wrong but my understanding of the shot feedback is they are groupings of the chance of making it. So technically you can make very early/late shots but probably won't when there is any defense applied. 70 is a hard spot to make shots once there is defense if you aren't consistent with your timing. Try checking the shot timing release time setting and trying different release speed shots for one that fits you.

Does anybody else have issues with your MyNBA Era league where it overrides the socks you pick. I am playing the Jordan era and I notice that after the first year it puts Chicago Bulls in the United Center which is wrong and also the Phoenix Suns floor does not change even though the uniforms do. So trying to fix these errors I did by download 2K share files but when I play games trying to select white socks on the road is impossible they always end up with black and vice versa for home games. You try to pick black socks or any other color and it always comes back white .Anybody know how to fix this issue?

You can't add expansion team rosters once you have already started your league. You have to do it at the very beginning of your league customization and toggle through the selections until it lands on "93 Bulls" or whatever.

Otherwise, the steps for a very long workaround would be:

  1. Add an expansion team, make sure you choose the correct city of historic team.
  2. Go through the motions of an expansion draft, draft only terrible, computer-generated players.
  3. Save your MyLEAGUE and exit.
  4. Locate the '93 Bulls (or whoever) and export the entire roster's DNA.
  5. Go back into your MyLEAGUE file, go to your expansion team and replace every player's DNA on that roster, with the players you just saved from the '93 Bulls.
  6. Go to Rebranding, search for anything Bulls, choose the one you like, and replace the expansion team's branding with it (Arena, Logos, Uniforms, the whole package).

I hope this helps.

Thank you. I am not sure what the relevant channel would be regarding save files. I would really love to be able to save my fully customized, MyNBA Eras files without being forced to enable cloud storage. If I am going to put in all of the work to make my perfect league, I shouldn't have to be anchored to my internet connection. I don't really understand the logic behind it, especially since I have oodles of local storage space available.

When I sent this very complaint to 2K, they said they can't address this question, because it is not a technical one. So they sent me HERE... and I am completely lost. šŸ˜

Suggestion 1:
When loading rotations, settings, etc., it would be really great if the menu navigation tab defaulted to local files instead of "Hot". If there is something wrong with your internet connection at the time, the screen will hang for various amounts of time. This would be completely avoidable if the local files tab was the default navigation tab. For rotations especially, I just cannot picture a scenario where I would ever search the community for rotations. So the fact that it defaults to the "Hot" screen is rather puzzling to me.

When I say finding a jumpshot that works for you is the only way to shoot I mean finding a jumpshot that works for you is literally the only way to shoot - tapping triangle will activates a swat block and holding triangle a activates a snatch block animation - this year is the year of freedom and I tell ya you gotta take advantage of it guards are all ran either 6 ft 1 - 6ft 4 (based on animations or 6ft 6 - 6ft 8 - Iā€™m having the most fun on my do it all build (diming inside out scorer) get lock slash spot up and play making - to sum it all up make your build based on what badges you want and if you have a guard he needs at least an 80 dunk for quick drop - off of one (most op dunk in the game and basically everyone can have it) donā€™t wanna be a one trick pony lol

Endorsements 100 percent correct but if your badge grinding - pro 12 min quarters and I always focus on 2 badge categories at a time (usually do players making and defense) then follow it up with shooting and finishing I started my rebirth 2 way stretch dimer already have 67 of the 76 total badge points 91 overall and I didnā€™t spend a penny I just play on my main build and save the VC for my rebirth šŸ˜‚šŸ¤žšŸ¾

Plenty of places for squads for play 5v5 but they need REC to only be solo so that it will balance out all of the game modes. Can anybody tell me if posterizer affects getting more standing dunks? Iā€™m trying to decide if itā€™s worth me using my level 39 badge point to get bronze posterizer on my big when I only do standing dunks and already have silver rise up and fast twitch. Itā€™s either that or I put that point into shooting to get my last shooting badge (gold volume shooter). For the next 2k there should be no adrenaline bars just regular stamina. There should be a different type of dribbling cause these past 2ks have been left right idk about it but a lot of people complain they canā€™t stop it. Make the dribbling like 2k21. And dunking people should have to time there dunks for contacts it make no sense. You should have the creative parks like 2k17 and 16. Also if there are glitches not that game changing leave them alone

Because the answer to my question didn't involve the boilerplate, "Restart and clear the cache," I guess they had no choice but to send me on a wild goose chase. Very frustrating.

I made a ticket about a certain issue thatā€™s been affecting my enjoyment of the game. They told me after already saying Iā€™ve done so to reset my cache. And no shock that didnā€™t fix the issue. Iā€™m not upset about I assume many of the 2k support employees was laid off or let go but I would have like to be directed to the right deport first instead of being pretty much ignored based on my ticket.

Imo, I don't even use it. As weird as it may seem, even if you're just starting out, I'd turn it off entirely and leave shot feedback on instead. I'd learn to look at the player rather than a meter. It'll be far better for you in the long run

I'd concur with running plays. Also, be mindful of where their user is and what they're doing with it. Utilize handoffs, backdoor cuts and even total receiver control to get that off-ball user moving. In some situations, depending on their settings, you can even really punish them in the pick and roll, forcing their guard to get caught in screens.

If they're usering a big, the pick and roll is helpful there too. You can use the screen and work the mid-range if they're sagging down with that user center. If they're trying to hard hedge and trap, going for a manual slip (press L1 to cancel the screen when it comes and the screener will immediately roll) catches them out a lot of the time. That'll even work on guys who just aren't paying attention with that center user as well. Pick and fade actions are nice too, and one thing I'll do often is throw in a pick and fade into a backdoor cut when the user commits to taking away the 3 point line from the center.

There are tons of options!

This is an issue with NBA today games in 2k22. They won't show up even though matches are scheduled in real NBA. It's working in 2k23, but not in 2k22. There is an Xbox achievement related to finishing one.

I'm going to definitely get a PS5 Soon, hopefully 2K24's MyNBA Eras can start at the NBA/ABA Merger (When the Nets, Spurs, Pacers & Nuggets Joined the league & the Jazz were in New Orleans & the Buffalo Braves Still existed before going to San Diego to become the Clippers a couple years later) have that be the first era of the late 70s including the Bird & Magic Draft Classes, Then Bird & Magic can be the 80s decade complete. Everything else (Jordan, Kobe, Modern) is same as is.
Also the ability to carry over from 1 era to the next so once you finish one, everything carries over to the next era.
Also in the Eras, back in the 70s into the 1987 Draft, there were 7 or more Rounds of the draft, 1988 it went to 3 & Starting in 1989 it went to 2 rounds which has been the norm. Have that little feature of 100+ Players drafted & more than half never get the chance to hit the court for a game, I know it'll be tough as is to get ALL the rights of the players, but at least try to get more rights than last year.

agreed because I'm already done with 1 season of MyLeague (The Nets won the Title beating Oklahoma City) & I'm into the 2nd season's Summer League but besides logging into MyTeam every day, I'm just getting bored with what i have & am wanting more & MyEras would've filled that hole. But now we're going into the last month of the NBA Season it's almost pointless to get a PS5 for 2K23 when I can look ahead to 2K24 especially when I feel like everyone is All about the PS5 & Microsoft feels like the #2 now (and my last 3 systems were Microsofts, Xbox in 05, 360 in 2013 & One in 2017)

I found a glitch/exploit in MyCareer that you can use if you want more offensive rebounds

Go to about the block or the mid range area and call an iso. Then take a dribble to set your feet then shoot your jumper and sprint towards the basket. If you miss and do the right animation, you will sneak past the defender for the rebound

Team takeover never was mandatory and this year I see it as a momentum thing for either team. Almost as if the myplayer barely affects it and it's more of a flow of the game thing
