The average person in 2K24 shot over 50% from 3 easily, and many people shot even over 60%, some shot over 70%. Shooting 3s was so easy that it literally did not make sense from a mathematical sense to take 2s in most cases (as if you make 70% from 3, you'd have to shoot over 100% from 2 to make it worth it, which isn't even possible. Even if you shot 60% from 3, if you took 100 shots, you'd have 180 points. To have the same amount of points shooting 2s, you'd need to shoot 90% from 2)

Yeah I get that, and I will say I don't love how the RNG feels in shooting, but I will say, from an offensive perspective, I've seen some of the most balanced scoring. Some people are 3pt hunters, some people try to get posters, some people are skilled finishers with layups (even though layups lowkey suck this year), it's really easy to develop a good middy bag, I've seen some people scoring out of the post, even in 5s. It really does feel accurate to basketball in that sense.

The way to beat cherry picking is to get back on defense. Ideally, a big should be going for the offensive rebound, at least one of the two corner players should stay down there to get an easy shot if the Center gets the board, and then the two/three guys on either wing/top of the key should be running back on defense to stop them. It's not that hard to stop cherry picking if the team makes an effort to do it. It's just that most people are only concerned with scoring, and don't care about winning or defense, so they just let their man cherry pick every posession. And even if there is one person trying to get back, that one person is gonna struggle to stop 2-3 cherry pickers
