The matchmaking in this game so horrific like why am I 6’3 constantly getting slid to the two. They put me at the SG 3 games in a row and the PG they put at PG was 6’6 with a lower pass accuracy. I average 10 assists with a 85 pass accuracy…. Where’s the logic????

I understand somewhat why they did it this way… they don’t want like a 6’9 being able to play the 2. But still it’s ridiculous there has to be some logic involved here. Don’t be lazy and just say oh where gonna just put everyone a position lower without actually analyzing the matchup first. It’s lazy.
And then you’re showing my MyPlayer having a preferred position that you never put me at online…
I will gladly wait longer to get my preferred position in the Rec or Proving Grounds but at least give me the option!

This is just one of the reasons I've given up hope for 2K. I've been playing 2K for over 10 years & it's progressively gotten better in a lot of aspects, however this is a major problem. The other thing is that the match making doesn't make any sense. If you're going into the rec, especially in random rec, you should be put into a tiered match making system. It should realistically be designed by a mix of win percentage, position & overall attributes.
As of now, I won't be buying 2K26. It is just such a copy and paste game nowadays. The other thing is the amount of money that you need to invest into the game in order to be potentially competitive without having to spend HOURS grinding the game to play online. Some of us can only get an hour or so in during the entire week

The match making process should also be clear & public information. I've got two builds, I've got a 7'0" Center & 6'3" PG. It's insane to me that I'll get matched up in random rec with other centers when I play on that build. In most situations when I get matched with another center it puts me at the 4. My center is purely an inside Center and it completely destroys the team construction. It's almost a guaranteed loss if I'm at the 4 unless the 5 can shoot. Then I just try to communicate to switch matchups. It's never a guaranteee though
