Literally everytime I get close to a post scorer with take I'm on the ground touching earth. I back up to get away from the animation and he either hooks it and I get no contest on the shot or it's just going to automatically put me in the animation where I'm on the ground again. well assuming you haven't played in recent years a lot of jump shot timings have been changed. there's a feature in settings as well for release timing (very early, very late, early, late) i was suggest you experiment with those and see which suits you best. Players jump shots have switched timings i.e. curry shoots a little slower now than he did in previous 2k's i believe. could be why you're thrown off with timing and missing open shots.

^keep using a meter that you like (i found comet to be my favourite) and take into account very very slight release lag when playing any online modes. Releases are not as crisp as single player like mycareer and play now single player.

I'm shooting too high of a percentage and scoring too many ppg. I wanted some realism

I was averaging 52 a game and I got it down to 34 now.

If you think I was trying to score on those 8 attempts, you are really slow man. I was doing post ups and purposefully mistiming them so I could get more offensive rebounds
