Oh it for sure is
Pumpkin finished!
The colours are random cause I was just using whatever I had xD
The trio
It's a random yarn I got from temu 😂
Not me thinking that looks like a moldy burger—
It could be too lololol
@silent rapids I give the dino an other try with a similar yarn!
Yayyy can’t wait to see finished
Thank you! I'll try to finish the body tomorrow :3
it's not matching good haha but it's my first try xD
@silent rapids he will definitely be a little bit cursed xD
Woahhh sekki it’s cute!
Love the color!!!
so silly without all the extra parts. right now he's just beans hahahahaha
I struggled a bit but I tried to do a little hiding by sewing him xD
fr it's my hope that he got better when he will get his arms and legs xD
It is gonna look so adorable when it’s done!
looks like your sewing needs to be tighter to seal it all up. don't be afraid to really pull on the yarn to make a seamless look
Yarn like that is not easy
okiiii I still have some yarn of it left exactly for you tips xD
the worst that can happen is the yarn breaks and you either have to attach more or start over on the sewing. but then you know the yarn's limits lol
Will do it! :3
Otherwise I will go into the market gap: Crochet plushie but Cracky-Version xD
Everyone needs a Cracky in their live
Yesss you got it Sai :3
Amigurumi is soooo hard so don't worry
Yes and I need a lot more practice! :3
Starting a Tunisian crochet project! Imma share progress here in hopes I actually finish this project before next year
My last blanket project lasted 3 years.... YEARS 😭🤣
oh how is it? i tried learning one time and i didn't like it. i think i need to follow a different tutorial
I like it so far~ of course even though it's my first project I decided to play around with the pattern to make the blanket bigger xD
yeah!!! you don't need rules XD
I'll follow your journey! :3
moms photograhpy homework was osmeone diong a hobby
sadly the light was bad inside the house in the evening
Im so so close to finishing my sweater but theres still like 3 things to do ahhhhhh
Day 2 update... Almost at 20 rows, which doesn't seem like a lot but each row takes me like 30 minutes idk why. Inkling of a pattern forming
Oh nice pattern!!!
I'm trying to trust the process XD
looks good!
blankets intimidate me
I like smaller proejcts like bags or other small house decor bc it is like, faster serotonin
Oh me too, but I also like to for some reason challenge myself @_@
I splurge, but now I'm a proud owner of 3 different lantern moon sets 😎
Woah those are hooks?
The red and white set are hooks. White are regular crochet hooks, red are Tunisian crochet hooks
The blue set are actually interchangeable circular knitting needles
Lantern moon are my fav brand
They are looking so great!
Redid with larger
Still, the pattern isnt large enough, but this way I probably obly need 4 extra rows
Good job!
There‘s a lot of awesome (and even free) patterns for the tiger online!
Yay! Good job!

8 rows to go, but the annoying part is, each new row takes more time than the previous one
i did not mean to use that gif nbut mood
Yeah I get it
Looking for advice. I’m trying to make a cat bed. Saw instructions on Instagram and I’m sure I followed them pretty closely. My yarn is thinner so I had to do more rows for the bottom to get to 13 inches in diameter. The issue I’m having is that the bottom is wavy. I’m a complete beginner at this so I don’t know what went wrong? I’m okay with taking the whole thing apart and starting over. Anyone any tips on how to avoid the wavy bottom?
same number of stitches with thinner yarn is probably what happened. you wouldn't notice on smaller pieces but it becomes more noticeable on larger pieces like this. but honestly if the cat is meant to sit inside, I wouldn't frog or redo anything. just keep going. the cat won't care and it'll round out with the cat inside XD
In the future, you would likely have to readjust the entire pattern. do some alternating between increase rows and just single crochet rows and that'll help with waviness
Thank you for the tips!!! I’ll see if the shop I went to can order thicker yarn. They didn’t have it and I was too excited to start on this project so I was like ‘what’s the worst that can happen’ lol.
your stitches look great though! very even.
it will probbably also even out a bit once you make the rest of it and the cat sits inside
or you can place a little round pillow inside if you find one
It lives!!
Had to get my fiancee to help me hold the leather straps together so I could knot them though
Yay! Well done!!

tyyyy
now I need to finish moms bag and then I have both corchet wips done 🫠
It looks so good 0.0 Congrats !!
it's so beautiful
Thank you again for the advice!! I decided to frog the whole project and start over because I was running out of yarn. I think the issue was that my tension was off during the first couple of rows. Those were super super tight and I think that’s why it started to bunch up. I did use your advice and did alternating rows of single and increase rows when I got halfway into the circle. I’m almost at the end of the rows of single crochet before I go on to the decreases, but I don’t think the cat will move any time soon.
Ran out of yarn so I just wove in the ends and will call this project finished 😂🥰
Thank you 💕! I’m so glad he took to it so quickly. The cat pole I got for him has remained unused 😂.
XD
he's a cozy cat for sure. wants the coziness
and he opted for your bed over a box so that's bonus points
Exactly! Haha
Yipppeeee! Catto looks like it loves it
Now I wanna make one for my bf’s car
Oops. Cat. But it became car LOL
-# having typos a lot today oof
It’s super easy so I’d say go for it!!! I used a cotton yarn on the recommendation of the woman at the yarn store because it’s quite stiff and will be able to hold its shape.

Thank you!
Cat is also saying you are done xD
Awwww :3 if cat loves it then it's perfect
put this one in my: will start once im done with my current and last crochet wip
im so scared of how itll go
but the yarn used (scheepjes catona) is sold in a store I still have a gift card for
the other yarn used is sadly out of business, so some colours are hard to find
I will simply just replace them with catona
I will also need to look for metal wire
armature wire should do the trick, pretty cheap and easily available
Oh my that looks so pretty
advice needed idk if im doing crochet too tight or doing my sittches wrong
first pic is my proj
second pic is from acorn market bag pattern
its basically a Dc2Tog + Ch1
im quite sure I do the
yo + ins, yo pull through 2 loop
yo + ins, yo pull through 2 loop
yo pull through all
It could be but it also looks like a different weight of yarn is used. If your tension is consistent, it should still be fine you just may have a different sized bag than the pattern.
could be yes
I uh
the first pattern was pattern A
and it used 2x as thick yarn
then I used this stitch for the body from pattern B
Overall it shouldn’t matter if all your yarns are the same size and your tension is consistent. Your end product will just be a different size.
since my mom based her yarn purchases on pattern B, I used 2x a skein to get the weight for pattern A
which might also explain why the stitches fill each other more
well, it fits a magazine/A4 size paper which is what I based it on
just sideways
Idk how I managed that
but mom is still happy with its size so
yolo
it is a frankenstein bag anyhow using 2 different patterns + own design of thickness of the colours
and theres some small mistakes since I made 90% in the car as a passenger
If your mom is happy then it’s all good! No one will know unless you say something
trueee
im on the last row of beige to make htings even
then I will make a blue coloured handle/row
also based on the acorn market bag pattern
Not gonna lie, I like yours better than the original cuz it doesn’t have much holes
-# I think your bag might be inside out tho XD the woobles made me always think it’s the wrong side
I did this for our company's "Secret Santa"
Aw that’s adorable!
Thank you! I hope a coworker I know will get it :3
Awww thank you
I left my project in my car... gonna have to fetch it come lunchtime
this womans review of making a cat bed pattern wiht macrame type yarn is amazing
It’s made with macrame cord, so its quite stiff. Just an fyi, it WILL give you an arm and hand workout… this is the fb post i did when I started working on it
So I ordered this cute little cat bed pattern off Etsy, thinking, “How hard could this be?” I mean, it’s a bed… for a cat. Not a rocket. I even got all the essentials from Amazon like a responsible adult: a 10 inch embroidery hoop, a crochet hook that looked like it could double as a tent pole (10mm, baby), and approximately 47 miles of macrame cord. I read the reviews. I looked at the pictures. I nodded with false confidence. I can’t crochet in rounds, I whispered to myself, but hey, fake it till you make it, right? This looked so much easier than the last cat bed pattern, which I abandoned like a bad relationship — no closure, just ghosted. So I’m feeling brave. I dive in. But then, plot twist: some lady in the reviews mentioned getting an arm workout. I laughed. I mocked her. “Pfft,” I scoffed, “You’re crocheting, not deadlifting kettlebells. Calm down.” Fast forward to two hours later — I’m on row THREE. My hands are cramping into prehistoric claws, my fingertips are tenderized like schnitzel, I’m sweating like I just ran a marathon in a wool sweater, and somehow my thumb has unionized and joined the labor force. I had to pause to make sure I was still human and hadn’t evolved into some sort of fiber-based cryptid. Dolce is silently judging me. Apparently I’m not working fast enough, so he’s “resigned” himself to laying on the huge skein of cord…
Just finished my first beanie of the season. The plan is to make all friends and family either a beanie, a scarf or gloves for Christmas. Right now I still think it’s a good idea, but who knows how I feel in 4 weeks time 🤪. I followed a video tutorial I saw on YouTube but made some adjustments due to unavailability of the right yarn, so mine is a bit shorter than it would be when following the instructions perfectly
This crochet beanie is a classic and minimal beanie that looks knit. It doesn't have thick bunching at the top that crochet beanies tend to have and this project is great for all crocheters learning this technique. This short and simple crochet beanie pattern will give you a perfect-fitting, stylish beanie to wear when it's cold out!
The yarn a...
Lovely colour! So cute
So cute!
I thought the handles had flowers on them…
Back and fingers are killing me but I figured, I'm going through this so fast I can give it to mom on Tuesday after she's out if surgery instead of Christmas
Sorry just my stutch markers
That’s sad
Its not too late to have flowers!
Alas, it's for my mom and thus far its her design choices
Side note what do you all do when you have like, 30cm of yarn left? throw it out or ?
I collect and use them to stuff amigurumi (plushies or other stuffed crochet)
I have a jar full of tiny leftover yarns
Oh fair
I’m making my MIL some strawberry shaped earrings which will also be stuffed with leftover yarn lol. Other than that, I haven’t encountered a good use for yarn scraps.
Going to attempt to make bead crochet Christmas ornaments... Wish me luck
Good luck! So much time. I’m making crochet mug cozy/coozie/sweaters
It's hard.. think I'll stick with regular Crochet ornaments since I have to make 23 of em
at least you tried! its always nice to try new things!
This video just popped up which would be as fun idea if you already have a stash of yarn scraps!!
That is very cute but my scraps are tiny usually
I do have some nice dark blue now though
maybe I will have more eventually, I could save them up more
https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Cirivere/acorn-market-bag
added my bag to ravelry with all notes/adjustments I did
Just finished making a cat 🐱
cutie! marshmallow cat!
I wanna make the pancake cat that Skaia shared awhile back too but I’ll have to find some brown and yellow yarn 🧶 ;-;
Looks so cute !
Cutiepie
Thanks! ☺️
I’m making my own ornaments this year. Started off with some cute snowflakes. Will be making them in both the bigger and smaller sizes and in different shades of blue + white. Super easy, like 10 minutes and you’ve made a snowflake.

oh they're super cute
They areeee
Ohhh that's a cute idea!
I have a cat who loooooves ornaments so it’s best when everything is non-breakable 😂😂😂😂
well very understandable then xD
ended up making 9 total, 10th I ran out of yarn halfway
https://merinoandtomatoes.com/patterns/little-star-crochet-pattern/
pattern is this but I read over the hdc in the final row, so instead of the points being hdc, dc, dc, tr, ch3 ....
I have dc, dc, tr, ch3
Oh they’re so cute!!!!
time to suffer
Catona!!! I really enjoy that line from scheepjes
oooh what are you making?
This one!
@outer moon
ahhhhh good luck!! that's such a beautiful piece
made a tree ornament

Thank you!!!
Finished a smol teddy for the gf's mom. She found out I could do crochet and asked me to make her one
-# Hehehe kinda looks like a tampon
SO CUTE
Thank youuu
Made a matching baby beanie too
I love this! Makes me want to make one for my cat
this is adorable!
Thank you 🥹
He loved it! For about two days 😂. He has since moved on to a different napping spot.
Honestly that’s a very cat thing to do 😂
I don’t want to spam with too many messages so I’ll just send it in one. Got quite a good bit into the ornament making. After that I spent the last couple of days working on a book sleeve. Mine always get damaged in my bag so hopefully this will help a bit. I didn’t use a pattern, I just kind of freestyled? It’s definitely messy, but I like how it turned out.
So cute and good!
You definitely inspired - next year I wanna decorate my own little Christmas tree
I looove the book cover
It’s super fun to do!! There are so many people who have made tutorials for tree decorations as well so the sky is the limit. Itslutimestwo on Instagram did a 12 days of crochetmas series where she also makes a couple of ornaments.
Such a great pattern!! Thanks for sharing! I made a star with a really lightweight yarn and a 2mm hook
Round 1 is a magic ring, ch1, 10 hdc into the ring, end in a sl st.
Round 2 ch1, ~[sc ch1 dc] into next stitch, Ch3, [dc ch1 sc] into next stitch, repeat from ~ 4 more times and end with sl st.
This looks so cute! I wish I had yellow yarn haha, the star looks awesome!
I just did it with white yarn!! I don’t have any yellow either and I’m not buying a whole skein for one miniature star 🤪
KRIMA TREE
The video also has directions for two larger sizes so there will be matryoshka Christmas trees!!!!! I’m beyond excited lololol
omgggg so cute!
i might make a tiny one if i have time hehe
The progress looks like it's going well! Can't wait to see it assembled!
It's really surprising how much it looks like the pattern pics so far
Did have some redos bc I missed or added stitches on accident though
It happens to everyone!
It looks so great!!! And the redos are so normal haha. You’re doing great 💪🏻
Small wreath decoration for my sisters tortoise || (they measured the shell wrong though so the thing it goes on is too small) its supposed to be like an interchangeable decoration thing xD||
That's sooo cuuute!
Oh that’s so freaking adorable!!!
I specifically requested my family members to not get me any yarn for Christmas. I’m too much of a control freak lol. Instead they got me this super cute crochet kit 🥹🥹. Very excited to make this little guy.
That's so cool!
thank you seekiii
cute!!
thx Amandaaa
Looks great!!!
thank you unicorn 🦄
I am now working on....this little guy
The process always looks a little terrifying 🤣
lol buddy has seen things
For real, the eyes...they guilt trip me to complete him 😆
the stitches are so neat!! looks so good
oh wait is the hat for that lil guy?
woah looks great!
He kinda looks at me saying "give me a mouth, I need to breath!" but also wanna cuddle and hug him already
I am not sure how to feel about the brown eyes, somehow he was cuter without the outline

omg he's so cute!! i get what u mean about the outline, but i think he's still cute regardless
have u named him yet?
surprise surprise
😆
Cute Sekki!!! Your stitches are looking more even now too!
Thank youuu
Wanted to share the hat & mitten set I made for my nephew for Christmas :3
I agree, it looks wonderful.
ohhhhmygoodness. these are adorable.
the little spikes aaahhh.
I know right?! He likes dinosaurs and dragons right now, so I made this for him ☺️
Sekkiiiii this is adorable omg
Thank youuuu
I feel less anxious now to try out the other sets
Yeah that’s good! You are doing awsome
That means a lot to me from you, thank you 🥹❤️
soo cute, the plump lil shape is perfect.
Thank you!!
Omg I’m gonna cry he’s so adorable 🥹🥹🥹
Those are so cute!!!! Hope he likes them! I’d definitely say he’s the coolest kid with those on haha
Thank you so much!

If anyone have really good tutorials about sewing the parts together HIGHLY recommend... I need a good one ToT
How to sew Amigurumi pieces together, a crochet tutorial by yours truly! I typed a long-winded response to a reel by @thelauragracee that joked about patterns assuming you knew how to do this skill already. Then @v4lphernelia replied asking for a video version, so here it is! This is a bit of a sewing hybrid of the mattress stitch and whip stitc...
Save this tutorial for later use!! ✨
Hello guys!! 😀
Here’s my favorite way to sew big pieces!

CROCHET CORNER OMG
Yeah~~~❤️ from time to time there's a lot of fun crochet discussion happening
Also other threads too~
some of the gifts I've made for family ^^
BEARGER! Oh! Thank you! The way you get super clean stitches is actually.. if you yarn OVER in whatever technique like single crochet double etc you get that "V" shape
if you yarn UNDER instead of over ... you get an "x" stitch which is more tidy and squared, and helps keep stitches more upright instead of pulling slightly to the side 😄
just any stitch you do, yarn under instead of over and it's a more tight X stitch which is why you see on the unicorn and mushroom especially, that're sort of "squared" in blocks if you see what I mean
Look at the video to see how they are done and what are the differences between them And you, in which team are you? Yarn under or Yarn over?
Oh yeah I know that trick! I do that for all my amigurumk
it's a game changer for tidy amigurumi stitches - keeps it from showing the fluff instead stuffing!
YES 😄
I do yarn over for general crochet~
Yes me too 😄
but for amigurumi yarn under is key... keeps it tight and tidy and you don't have to worry about seeing white fluff through any holes
the thing I need to learn now is advanced embroidery... I'd like to do fancy trim for my computer screen like vines with pretty flowers
I also love making amigurumi and brushing it out with a wire pet slicker brush like SERIOUSLY scraping at the pieces and agitating the yarn until it pulls the threads and becomes fluffy
that's how I did this
dyed the tips and hands and muzzle with pink scraped flakes of chalk/oil sticks and then rinsed it until it was the lighter pink
brushing amigurumi makes it so soft and furry/fluffy/feathery, I love it
he's actually got felt buckteeth you just can't see them because the cookie is in the way XD he's "Buckie the Duckie"
Woaaaaahh
I've always been a little scared to brush out my pieces xD
Maybe I'll try it one day
you literally can abuse it like crazy like you really have to BRUSH IT LIKE YOU ARE MAD AT IT
it can take it believe me
I've been learning beaded crochet, which I'm still experimenting on since there aren't a lot of patterns of that
it takes a ton of brushing it and it makes loud noises but you'll get a feel for it
basically brush it as hard as you can EXCEPT for don't brush it so hard you catch the stitches themselves and are pulling it
but brush it super super harder than you think you should and that's about just right
it's actually fun XD
Will definitely try~
just make a small ball and practise on that
a test swatch
it makes it all fuzzy and can really bring bears and such to life
BRUSH THE PIECES BEFORE putting them together if you're doing a doll because... it's impossible to get in the little spaces
just try a small one
bears are a good place to start because I feel it's the easiest to understand
and you learn how to put arms and legs together
Ah yeah I've made stuffies, but never dolls that look like humans xD
I also pin things first before sewing.. but they always come out a little wonky .. ah well
this is a pattern I bought that I want to do for myself this year at some point ^^
Oh she's cute!
pinning things is tricky... how I've found is best when you're pinning things is to use more pins than you think you need, and take your time be SUPER slow about it and patient
put a stitch in and take that pin out... do it again and again etc, pin it everywhere you want to put a stitch
My goal is this one~
when you're attaching the pieces, there is a good technique to keep it tidy
A bunch of noodles and sewing
The pain is basically all working into a foundation chain... 😭
when you're attaching pieces, always try and go through like around the stitch and into the closest stitch to that like around one of the loops
basically try and align your loop with the nearest loop not in FRONT but like behind
makes it almost invisible
Ohhhh I seee
im not wording it well but ill show you
I think my bear I posted up there was my most successful sewing xD
lemme scroll
it turned out super cute!
Ribbon to hide ugly-ness hahahaha
I understand that
my first few dolls had the "wonky" feeling to where I joined my pieces
everyone starts somewhere XD
i'm sure she loved the gift
it was really sweet looking

A new method to create an almost invisible join in amigurumi when you join an open-ended piece to a closed piece, by June Gilbank (www.planetjune.com)
PATTERN LINK: The crochet pattern for the Dimetrodon dinosaur featured in this video is available to purchase individually, and as part of 'Dinosaurs Set 3', from https://www.planetjune.com/shop
...
this is how I learned
she even does it with a contrast color so you can see where it is
Will take note~ thanks for all the tips and resources
you're welcome 😄
it will change how you feel about joining pieces ^^
it's a simple technique you can use everytime
it's a simple like three step thing

I love all of these, and the fluffed out pieces are so cute!!
thanks sm for your sharing your tips! my fam is learning crochet for the purpose of amigurumi, so this was all valuable advice.
you're welcome! If they have any questions feel free to message me 😄
I finally stopped sleeping on stacked single crochet instead of a turning chain for double crochet 😱. The difference is insane.
I’m making a patchwork cardigan and this will make it so much easier to sew all the pieces together!!
awwww this is so pretty
crocheting into a chain is making me question why i started this project at all
Look up a tutorial on “foundation stitch”
I rarely do chains now cause it’s not fun XD
ohhh i think i used that making a bow last time I DIDNT THINK OF THIS THANK U SAI
I'm working on a new crochet project and my arms are killing me... send patience please
I just finished a crochet Napling for my fiance for Valentine's Day (yeah, he got it early 🤭)
-# a Napling is the name of the following of a vtuber we both like
honestly that looks so soft and nice, it is a good shape for holding as plush, or using as an impromptu pillow too
making this keith haring heart for one of my best friends birthday, alongside a lil zine for what he could use it for (like a jacket backpiece, or a cushion, or a shirt, or a patch, or a bag)
haha that's amazing.
where's the jar cosy, it's cold!!
haha she ran out of red yarn XD
but jokes aside, it looks great.
the amusement when I realised she'd dressed a pineapple.
yeah she was so excited to show the pineapple, she was bringing it around the whole house
second foot is slightly smaller bc my tension is tighter
😭
but at least I didnt have to redo it at all, I made good use of markers every 5 stitches
ITS OKAY MY RIGHT FOOT IS SMALLER THAN MY RIGHT FOOT
omg
this is her right foot
no joke
(if you do purchase, I reccomend checking out all her platforms, as she has sales at different times on different platforms)
I also want to do the christmas one
and she recently made a moon themed fairy
the doll is myrella from moonlightcrochet89
hope I can find some tiny buttons as well when I need to sew her clothes
because those are TINY
ah yes
she is on ravelry under the name Nguyet Vu Thi
she also has a facebook where she posts a lot
theres a lot of cute doll patterns
this creator is the only reason I decided to try makin a doll for once, as I never was interested in dolls myself, but her designs are just so pretty
I hope to be able to finish the halloween one this year
after that I either want to do another doll, or this bag
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lili-mosaic-bag
omg they really are so pretty
yeee thANK YOUUU
ive always wanted to make customised dolls but just never found a pattern i liked
that bag is really cute too!!
Np!
I do have to say,
she uses scheepjes catona and Schachenmayr Catania, however schachenmayr is no longer in production
So I replaced all colours with similar from scheepjes catona
I was surprised when I bought the pattern, how detailed the instructions are
it is sometimes a challenge, because well, it is 2mm yarn, and since you work in the round you really need to keep count, but with enough stitch markers, anything is possible
omgg i just did only a quick search and the first result i could find, the yarn costs like nearly 30 in my currency for one ball 😭
i mayy have to hunt for a different brand of 2mm yarn
that.......might be an idea yes
for me it was easy bc scheepjes is from my country
if you happen to want to do the witch:
according to the pattern each colour is less than a singkle skein, max is 50grams for the skin colour which is roughly one skein
from what I gathered:
one was a more cool grey, one more neutral greyish, and one is a more brown colour
omg you're so much help thank you! 🥹
i'll definitely post in here if i do any of these dolls
how i wish all these yarn brands were more accessible in my country
additional supplies (least for the doll I am making)
- Safety eyes size 8mm (for the doll eyes)
- embroidery thread, needle, scissors, some pins to mark where to sew
- buttons (5mm, 6mm) REALLY small for doll clothes
- 1mm soft wire to make the angel wings
- 2mm soft wire (optional, but it is put inside the body to make the body posable)
the buttons she uses
least in this doll
My plan is to crochet as much as I can, then pick out some I like once I see how the doll is turning out
I didnt know the metal wire was optional, but I still followed the guide and put it in, it does get slightly in the way when crochetin but not too much
at least with the wire means you can defintely put her in cute poses that will hold!
thank you so much for this list! looks like all these are fairly easy to find
think it'll be the yarn and buttons maybe that will be a bit more effort to obtain
worst case you could try diying some with polymer clay
I totally forgot to post in here too. After my penguin I made some new plushies from my set as well:
sekki these are so adorable! I'm loving the winter bunny, and that blushing bee has won my heart. xD
-# the others are super cute too, I'm a big fan of lions.
Awwww thank you!
Actually I had a difficult time with the lion after I finished it (ask Sai lol I was so down) but I'm planning to make a makeover some day
I'm not gonna giving up making verrryyy cute lions (and a full mane, he's bald on the back rn xD)
that sounds great, and it's to go through learning curves, your progress is really good!
Thank you
It's so much fun looking back at my first whale, and my first try making a dino (never finished tho) and then the very BIG step to the penguin xD
The progress was real
yeah it's hard to see it in the moment, but you're definitely improving fast. your stitches seem very consistent too. ^-^
Thank you! But actually I need to be a bit softer with my tension, it was really difficult to do the mane with this high tension I did before xD
Or maybe a an other hook/ thinner yarn? Idk, need to try and learn
I feel like practice will naturally improve your ability to change tensions consciously. once those many new motor skills become more simple in your subconscious mind. but definitely worth practicing the habits you want already.
though I'm no crochet master. xD I did cross stitch and other needlework for years, plus some knitting, so the tension issue is similar (but maybe more complex in crochet).
No worry! I put all my ideas on my list. I have so maaaany sets I wanna do first (I keep the patterns so I can redo later with other yarn/better yarn or rewrite the pattern. Some of them were cheap and therefore a bit wrong written). And with all the sets I'm sure I'll learn, more see a lot of new methods how you can crochet and add things like the mane. And after a while I'll do a deep research for it to improve more and more.
You're totally right I'll learn by doing and practicing and not trying to be perfect at first. Then I would never finish anything xD
yes I have to remind myself this too!
in my experience the best way to improve something once you've learned the proper method and teaching, is to play and play for fun with it. then in time it becomes natural, second nature.
When I saw how the mane & the face of the lion ended up I had literally a breakdown. Sai, Henriette and a lot of peeps cheered me up that it turned out great for my first time and now I can see that he's is cute and not that ugly how my eyes so him before xD
It's so great and necessary to share with you all
Yes! Sounds exactly like if you talk about how I learned piano. At some point I don't know what I'm playing only my fingers know haha xD
I understand the breakdown, I've had those myself from artistic pursuits. x3; but he's truly cute; someone would treasure him. there's nothing wrong about his appearance, he's very charming.
Thank you so much!
yes, I mostly always have piano in mind when I say this, because I played so many years for fun, I became very skilled!
but it applies to so much as well.
Trueee - and I understand it so much xD
your dexterous piano fingers will help you with crochet, and probably why you pick it up so well.
Ohhh I never thought about this :0
also there is value in your learning pieces. the "imperfect" ones will still hold a beauty and charm that perfection can't match.
and once you're a master actually, you can try for this charm intentionally if you want to. x3
That's true! And for crocheting, if there is a little "mistake" you can even see more that it is handmade!
I saw a reel lately why someone only do embroidered eyes and no safety eyes and she got me. I mean I also use safety eyes because they are in the set, cute and easy but embroidered eyes are really handmade and better for the environment, more "handmade". After this lion messed up my mind I still end up with my decision to learn them because you can also do so many details!
-# will be a long journey xD
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFh8g1PuqCD/?igsh=MXMxZHJrOG8xanZyNg== maybe this will help?

I've been really busy with content creation
This is the one I grabbed that I wanted to do sometime this year: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4329653457/crochet-doll-pattern-florie-the-mushroom?ref=shop_home_active_30&pro=1&sts=1&dd=1&logging_key=007ef85134e3c6a06061f0672676877cb51b7ae0%3A4329653457
but I had two others I wanted to do first:
it's the month of game chaos for me XD
I always give up when crotcheting
persistence is key
and if a project no longer gives you joy
yeet
I had a lot of projects from when I started I didnt want to finish bc I didnt like the yarn choice, pattern or improved too much since my start so my stitch consistency was off
tossing em out helped a lot lol
now I do 1 project at a time
Speaking of finish projects I finally could finish my gingerbread
-# five days later than civ's message xD
Nooo, don't ever touch it!
-# joke joke of course ✨
the snowman is at just as much risk of being eaten!
awwwww lovely! just in time for christmas!
speaking off, I want my doll to be finished for halloween but I am done with 2 arms, and 1.5 legs
still got the torso, head, ears, hair and 3 billion doll clothes to go
would maybe be cute to make a mini broom for her to sit on so I can hang her in front of the window
having a genie misinterpreted my wish moment
bad news: system broke down at work
good news: can crochet while waiting for it to restart
whaaaat, send help! xD
Thank you
or some months too late hahah xD But thanks
It's looking so pretty!! Also I like your halloween idea
Are you making high thighs?
civ is crocheting this doll: #1241843543400648704 message
those are her legs!
:o
I see now
cute isn't it? ^0^
It is a cute doll
it really is!!!
I almost stabbed my eyes 3 billion times with the wires
But theyre attached now
So good!
And stay safe

The wires are very effective though, I can already pose the legs
Is the bent wire enough to make the piece not stabby? Or do you cap the wire ends with something?
The ends are bent over and then taped over
Ohhh! Awesome! I’ve thought about using wire but haven’t. What gauge do you normally use?
This pattern is with 2,5 - 3,5 mm yarn
But I use needle 2.0mm as recomended
"2 mm soft wire (optional). 1 mm soft wire to make angel
wings"
The 2mm wire is for the body as it is tougher
she released another dol 😭
I am going to be making these beyond my grave at my pace
Recently made this little bunny for my cousins newborn. She wants everything pink and I think it turned out so cute 🥹🥹. I got the pattern from a baby crochet magazine my grandma bought.
that's such a sweet gift.
This is so sweet omg 🥹🥹
I originally saw these on Instagram and then I found a YouTube tutorial. One of my other hobbies is reading so I’m always looking for crochet bookmarks and these are just so hilarious.
Cute and easy book thong bookmark tutorial that is very beginner-friendly! If you have any questions, please comment down below :)

Found a Drifloon pattern online and I'm using cotton yarn. The pattern was translated from Korean so I'm not sure if I have the fluff on top correct but I'll keep going I guess!
It's already very cute!!

Hi, i was curious if anyone has a pebble pattern or know if any exist yet?
I checked message history and I saw someone say they were making one, but I haven't kept up with the thread to know if they ever finished it lolol
I started working on my own plush though, in excitement for beta
hello! sorry for the ping, but I was wondering if the pattern for this little guy is available anywhere? he's so cute, i'd love to make my own!
I was not allowed to publish it. But I can send it to you if you want
that would be amazing, thank you! feel free to DM
Hi guys! I always crochet using tiktoks or youtube videos but do you guys know good websites to buy cool patterns from? ☺️
Have you looked at ravelry yet? It’s pretty much a crochet and knitting social media where people upload their patterns. Some are free, some you can purchase through ravelry, some have a link to their website where you can buy it.
Also there's the website called "amigurumi.com" for, well, amigurumi patterns
I also love checking out books from my local library! They have hundreds of pattern books, and I can usually find something for whatever project im working on!
Thank you all for answering I will definetly check them out <3
If possible, I would love to have it as well! 💗
the ones in mic/martina's loftia socials posts were made by me. but the pattern is written the way my brain thinks which means messy. i have to clean it up but I do eventually wanna share it.
OOOO IM EXCITED
i make 0 promises on when, though! I am a big staller XD
no worries!! wait long enough and ill forget anyway XD
yeah i can surprise you with a gift hahaha
me making a snake pattern for year of the snake last year and going through cleaning up the pattern with another test but only getting half way done....

My shirt that I ran out of yarn on so have to wait for my order to come in
gorgeous work sekki, I love them.
Awww thank you
-# also big credits to my mums garden again!
oooo how long did this take you to make?
About 20 hours so far and I have another few to make the detachable sleeves
Impressive! :0
I'm so scaried (?) to try to crochet clothes for now. How do you know which size it should be?
The pattern I used has really great instructions on how to measure your body and how big each piece should be and then how to put each piece together. I followed the instructions basically and made sure to try it on once I was able to test the fit and it worked! I had to make sure to swatch and wash the swatch to be sure my gauge was right. The hardest part, for me, was making sure I measured my gauge right and didn't add an extra few stitches every inch.
Thank you for this explanation! I never looked into any clothes pattern before, but that makes sense :D
Hope your yarn will arrives soon and we will see your progress 👀❤️
Amazing! Always love to see crochet work
Had to take down my flower garland to travel with it and it doesnt look bad like this also !
this was sai's last message on the pebble pattern
I have 2 patterns I’ve already promised. One to Henriette and one to Sekki. I promised them several years ago 😅
I’ve already done them in small form so it’s more I need to test and edit for larger form. Then I can work on pebble pattern which is written down but not totally understandable unless you have my brain cause who needs neat notes Lolol
ITS OKAY SAI I AM PATIENTLY WAITING
SO EXCITED
whats a good learning video on how start crocheting?
Heyaaa, sorry for the late response. I only learned in my language so I don't have really a video to share.
But I would recommend to start with learning how to crochet a flat square, so you can praxis tension and counting stitches. Also maybe the different art of the basic stitches. I'm sure there are a lot of good videos!
And in addition: if you want to do amigurumis like me, best way to learn is to start with an easy round body. I started with a whale, so it was basically only a round ball to make, not two pieces which you need to sew and also not much extra stuff
Like this one I made!
-# the color in the top was one yarn which changed itself
sekki the whale looks like a patterned goldfish!
not also you 😆
But really, I love this color changing yarn. I still need to crochet a koi with it
ooo yeah enlongate it a bit and pretty fins!

I got a crochet kit to start!!
Its good for learning all the stitches, and if I have a stitch I dont know yet I look on YouTube
Yay
yeyy!
all the best. it can feel really awkward at first, but stick with it. you will get it!!
They're adorable ! Lil friendz
