Done!
cuute!
That Colour is so beautiful
thanks
I finished this guy today. The background is AI generated
omg!!!! so cute!!!
this looks amazing!
aww, what a cutie pie
Thanks ❤️ it's for my nephew birthday ❤️ (a little bunny)
omgg so cute, the nose almost looks like lips XD
aww, i think i need to become your niece hehe
beautiful free stuffies are making life just wonderful
Can i also be adopted as niece?🥺
My owl in progress... The head isn't in the center but after sewing it 4 times without feeling satisfied I think I'll leave it like that 😆 (have nothing good to sew so I use my crochet hook for it... It's nerve wracking)
So cute 😭❤️
Thats must be so annoying to sew with the hook and that yarn...
But the colours look really good together
I’m not sure because of the yarn.. but it kinda looks like it’s inside out..
I Love to do the colour Changes Like this. Maybe that helps
It isn't, it just has fizzy yarn left overs that I didn't removed till then 😆
Oh, I do that too! At least technique 1
The little spots are little V's that should look like bird feathers
😆
The inside looked like this
Yes, the horizontal lines tell me that’s the inside!
I am confused....
This is what I meant, which means you’re doing it right quartet
Ohhhhh okay. Now i understand...
For anna-techthasia though, looks like it’s the wrong side for me
I was Like: If I crochet in rounds it is obviously all horizontally... What?
But that makes sense now
I got the same thought that it might be the wrong side
No, I embroidered the Vs afterwards, I didn't crocheted them
i followed the guide word for word
For sure
I didn’t mean it to sound like you didn’t follow the pattern, it just looks inside out to me which is a pretty common mistake to do :3
Looks great tho! I love skitty
thanks 😅
it isnt finished so dw
skitty is cute tho
thats true, i made a shiny haha 😆
well, my owl is good to go and looks like an owl now 😅 would sent a pic if it would let me
They stoped the pictures to prevent in-game Screenshots and Videos to be posted
Yeah it’ll be turned back on for alpha peeps after. Forums are hard to moderate because we don’t get notifs unless we’re active in them.
Okay
Ohhh, I know now why my owl looked wrong for you, I think I yarned under instead of over
Oooooh probably
I didn't knew there was a difference 😅 learned today
That’s so interesting
I just searched it up and yours looks exactly like yarn under crochets
It’s more boxy than yarn over :0
Yarn under makes it smaller too, interesting
I always forget I’m yarn undering
So then I yarn over. And then I’m like sigh time to frog
Wow... I heard about it, but I didn't know it made such a difference
Very interesting
yes, thats what i figured
i was totally sure that i wasnt on the wronng side so i googled a lot till i found someone explaining this
never thought this would do such diference 😆
Omg. I over reached. 2 days till Xmas. Finishing presents. Must crochet
Are crocheting your Christmas presents?
I’m on the final one. But it’s talking more time than I expected
ooh nothing like some last minute crochet😅
keep your fingers safe 😆 mine always hurt after crocheting for a few hours, make sure to take enough breaks
I’m at row 111. I have to get to 200 and then a little flat colour after that. It’s graphgan and it’s time consuming. But it’s my last Xmas gift. Wish I could share it
Wait…
Just the A S on top and nights on the bottom to go. This is todays progress I started half way through the E late this morning
That looks sooo good!
My phone says that I still can't post 😮
Whoa! That looks awesome!
I can't post as well
That's mean
😆
Weird. I still couldn’t post yesterday morning but then it was like ‘here’. I thought they must have turned it back on
Maybe because you aren't in alpha?
Maybe. But I couldn’t post before. Maybe a glitch that the tech gods wanted us to get crochet dopamine 😂
Hahaha
I changed my Pb to the picture with the blankets, since we can't send pictures. They all loved it 🥰
Omg it’s a bazaar. Love it
Whoa, that looks amazing
Is that a ghostie?
It's a light green frog
😆
Oh noooo. I am sorry🙈
dont worry haha, the lighning in my room is a bit special
They look so cute!
thanks!
My wrist deserves the break. But nephew loved it in a 13 year old nonchalant way
Thank you guys ^_^
that sounds good haha, take the break, you definitely deserved it!
I will take the break for a day or two and back to other projects. I’m a sucker for punishment. lol
I just got a photo from my other niece and nephew in their jackets.
My nephew has the hood up. You can’t see cause he has heart face lol
Awww they look very nice!
It fits them so Well!
The colours are so cute
Thanks. They went down well
That’s just a silly goofy guy!
Finished this guy today. He was done way quicker than I thought.
I will send him to my grandma because she loves dolphins.
Made a little sprout thingy for my headphones 🌱
dont know if this is the pattern used, but it is similiar https://hyggecrochetco.com/headphone-leaf-sprout-free-crochet-pattern/
Let’s all sprout
Oh yeah there’s a bunch of patterns out there I’d just choose one that you like the most :)
i love customizing my character irl haha
My first big commission order. It’s a housecoat/dressing robe for a friend. Said friend is a big boy. The back panel alone is 62x30 inches/ 158x90cm
Size 6 yarn 9 mm(N) hook. I might be crazy
You must have the patience of a saint😆
Honestly, gift giving is one of my love languages. This friend is willing to invest in me and it makes my heart warm to make something for him. So I am making sure I don’t drop or add a single stitch. I want this to be perfect. And that excites me. But I want it done already cause I’m so excited lol
Made an otter holding a ball
His eyes looking like this 🤪 because pattern was unclear on placement Lolol
Blame the pattern for bad skills…
Just kidding I love this otter and I can’t believe you are that good at finding patterns
The eyes look fine too me! Really love how it turned out with the fluffy ball!
Awww :0
My crochet is now better, don't have the gaps anymore
yeehaww
that's awesome! it means you've figured out your tension and became consistent with it!
Yippee ✨️
Happy for you <3
At the moment working on a turtleneck hooded cowl
the colors are giving me kawaii strawb!
wow what kind of stitches is this
Omg yes! Now I see it too! I though I had enough yarn for the whole thing. Then I finished 1 skein for only 14 rows and was like I still need 14 more.. I guess I use my other yarn then haha
The green one is just double crochet and the lilac is Front Post Double Crochet and
Back Post-Double Crochet. Like you switch from back to front so you get the turtleneck vibe
omg i need to learn that but my dyslexic brain cant comprehend this
I didn't know how it worked so looked at a YouTube video and now I know a new stich!
wow
i am just imagining how great it could be also for like hand warmers and so on
it's like an extra step than a normal dc but once you get it, it's not hard
They will put it in like
Front Post Double Crochet – FPdc
BPdc
wow
So it's easy too read but you don't have to since you repeat it for multiple rows
That's like a perfect idea for this indeed or leg warmers
yess i saw someone chrochet sock and they did like it looked like knitting but wayy prettier and super stretchy
but idk what she used
it would be fun to try to chrochet socks
I also saw that indeed I still don't know how they do it maybe a small hook, but there my brain stops
i am also wondering about this tunisian chrochet
if thats what they do
at least it looks cool
probably a sports weight (super thin) yarn and a small mm hook for socks. there are a few different stitches people use for socks depending on what thickness is desired and how much stretch
Found some patterns
ahhh the bottom right?
yesss those are cool
I really like those will be the last link since I don't what to spam https://brianakdesigns.com/vine-colorwork-crochet-sock/
omg
those are gorgues
but if i were to make those i am always so confused what yarn to use and how much i need
Same! But I think alot of of socks are made from the toe up, so if you run out you still have a sock
ohh i think i just found yarn i want to use and then i am gonna order
Looks like you need 2 balls of yarn of 100 grams for mid calf socks. So 1 should be fine for normal socks
For the last pattern I send it says that
yes i have found 3 skeins with 166 meter and that should be more than enough
but if i only order 2 then i will loose 11 meter
3 sounds better then you have 83 meter per sock otherwise 77
Yes I ordered!
In this blue Color for main and white for the pattern in alpaca and silk
alpaca will be so soft and warm
And silk is nice too?
I am so motivated now
Yess I can’t wait for it to come in the mail
My little crochet girland
Anyone else thinking there isn't enough yarn for a row and end up making 3-4 rows with it?
😆
like you think there won't be enough but it ends up making more than you thought??
Yes!!!
i uhhh.... kinda the opposite. i get nervous i won't have enough so i over purchase to be safe so i have extra yarn
Just had it 😆 for 4 rows I thought: no way that this will be enough
and i usually lose yarn chicken
What is yarn chicken?
it's what the community calls the game of "will i have enough yarn to complete the project" ahahaha
Oh haha!
to play "chicken" is a terrible game where people stand in the middle of the road and the one who moves out of the way for an oncoming car first is the "chicken"
so with yarn, it's like battling against the yarn to see if you have enough
Omg! That sounds... Not funny haha
no bad game. but for yarn, it's silly
Thanks for the explanation!
yeh no problemo!
what project are you going to work on next? you go through crocheting fast!
Since I always have cold hands I wanted to make hand warmers
like you'll fill them with something that's like microwavable? or like mittens/gloves?
(I live in tropical region so can't relate)
Gloves without fingers
I think they are funny cause it isn't like a big row that you do over and over
you mean plushies?
Plushies and the hand warmers gloves without fingers kind of thingy 😆
gotcha! yeah crocheting in the round is super interesting. i like the completionist aspect of plushies. even if it's a big one, you still have parts finished
As long as you don't have to sew I am all into plushies!
i really don't mind sewing. i think it helps with more sophisticated patterns so i'm all for it
i also think some no sews can be even more challenging
I am so bad with it... Maybe I should get the big sewing needle for crocheting and try it with it... Often when I have a sew plush I just use slip stitches to attach 😆
the angled embroidery needles are super nice for sewing
and you can use food skewers or knitting needles to hold your pieces in place which is half the battle
this shape. is nice shape lol
Uh that looks nice!
I always use bobby pins for marking stitch or hold it in place
i usually use stitch markers but they can still move out of place
Since Bobby pins have those wobbly curves it holds pretty good with yarn over 3 for me
Gotta head to bed now! Can't wait to see y'all's next crochet update!
oh that's good to know!
have a good night! (I'm working on writing a pattern right now)
Uh, for what?
-# i plan on sharing it in the server when i'm done
with lunar new year coming up, i'm making a new year snake!
Nice, can't wait! Feel free to ping me when you are done with it!
(Snakes are my fav animals!!)
They look so good!!
thanks
Hello lovely chrochet people, I have a question for you: does anyone know a good chrochet pattern for a meercat? My friend would love an amigurumi meercat, but I can't seem to find any good patterns.
XD I really love that
let me dig and find out
there are a few free patterns but they don't look the best imo. the really nice ones that actually look like meerkats are paid ones
oh that's alright, I am so in despair to finde one
This one is of timone XD
This one is cute but kinda leans badger to me. i think it's a bit thick and that's why i think that.
This one is really cute if you want to go chibi style
this one is kinda sweet looking
this one isn't too bad if you wanna go more realistic
i think the others i saw across the internet and etsy are kinda meh
the one with Timone looks very complicated with the hair xD
Yeah I thought the same, looks like the meercat are very difficult or just very special xD
you can probably leave out the hair if you don't wanna do something disney
i think a little bit of both. they have a strange body and the face shape is a bit unique so not a lot of patterns
True, thank you Sai, I will send them to my friend and ask her which she prefers
wait i have an idea... let me find some more patterns and i'll explain lol
idk how comfortable you are with changing patterns but i think you could manipulate a ferret pattern to look like a meerkat through color changes and elongating the arms and fattening the thighs....
this pattern i think could be a good basis. maybe shorten the body by 2-3 rows where it's the long tube part and widen the tube a bit by 1-2 stitches. the legs can maybe stay the same if you like the cute style of it otherwise you can try to add the bottom half of a meerkat's leg and its foot to the thigh.
this other pattern is similar to the first but more cutesy proportions. i think the body for this one is a good shape for a meerkat so it's mostly the limbs and maybe pointing out the nose more to make it more meerkat (aside from color changes too)
sorry. that was longer than i expected.
merp... one sec. something didn't copy XD
here try this one
^ this is what should've been linked in the second link
yeah thank youu
woah I have never changes a pattern before, this will definitely be very difficult, but I might try 🤔 I think I see what you mean
taking out or adding rows is usually pretty easy. biggest risk with changing number of rows is if the pattern has a "front" but if it's a sew pattern, that shouldn't matter too much.
increasing and decreasing stitches can be a bit more complicated cause you kinda have to have an idea of where those are occurring
but i think you could also just adjust the body adn keep the limbs the same anyways. and just deal with color changes
yeah makes me remember my first amigurumi where I missed some stiches and it got all very wonky
lol yeah that'll do it
i feel like they're not too large if you do have to go at it a few times, at least
but you may want to print out the pattern so you can write notes about your adjustments in case you have to do another
that's a good idea!
I really hope is doesn't end in a mess 😆 But we will see. will take me some time. somewhow I am so slow when it comes to chrocheting
if you need help, you know I'm here!
you are so kind sai, thank youuu
saiii! how do you make links into texts?
Give me your discord knowledge
if you highlight the word before pasting, discord automatically adds the right syntax.
I hate the super long links so that's why i do it. (but always putting out the reminder to be careful clicking any links)
internet safety
oh yes! you finished your hand warmers!
looks great!!! they seem soft
is there a way the add-on box gets deleted?
thanks, they are!
the embeds can be deleted by clicking the x next to them but that only works on desktop
mobile doesn't let you which is annoying
oh, i see, thank you so much!
with your magic hands you mean 😆
Take a guess what this is going to be
😆
A duck!
oh that would be cute, but not
Ohhh I don’t know the English name but a hat?
yes
its looking soooo good
omg, how adorable!
it looks soooo good! squirtle use water bomb 😆
omg it's huge but so adorable 😍
Defintely me😅
Sai, can I ask which yarn size the snake will be in the pattern
I am not sure what to do next and don't want to empty that size cause I can't wait for the pattern
It’ll be in plush sized yarn (6 bulky/superbulky) and hook size 6mm!
thanks!
oh that seems so comfy!
Does anyone have tips for embroidering the eyes? They always look to thin.
I just usually keep going untill they look good. Don’t thighten it too much
Here is a video of someone showing you how you can do it
Thanks. So bigger yarn would be step number one😅
Depending on the plushy you make!
You can also use normal yarn and just repeat the same think multiple times. I sometimes even use really thin embroidery for small plushies
The dear is with thin embroidery and the octopuses with normal yarn.
Just went like 3 or 4 times over the same stiches
Thanks! That helps a lot
if i am lazy sometimes i tend to use a marker as well
😅
has anyone been able to do the split single chrochet?
yes, if you need help with it, i always love to watch yt tutorials, this is pretty good in my opinion
i dont know what pinterest wants to tell me 😆
I did watch it but it’s impossible to get the chrochet hook through the part
Maybe I am chrocheting too thight
that might be the case, if i learn a new stitch and wont get the hang of it, i use a bigger piece of scrap yarn and make it over and over again till it works
but it doesnt work at all
super small
maybe try the stitch with a bigger one and then change to the smaller size once you get the hang/feeling for it
yeah
What a horrible stitch it’s impossible each time I try on like chlotes i remember why I just do plushies
Well, there are cute clothes without the stitch!
All those yarn scraps I’ve collected are coming in handy.
what is it ging to be?
The book version of Roz from the Wild Robot 🤖 A gift for my friend’s birthday.
that sounds interesting!
Thanks! Hopefully I’ll have enough stuffing for it. This thing is becoming a lot bigger than what the pattern planned
Frog time
So cuuuute ! He protect the bag 😭 ❤️
Hope my friend likes her gift
He is indeed!
He look like "Meh. Don't touch him ! He's mine !" 🤣
Haha
does anyone here know how to knit?
Still want to try but there is this channel too https://discord.com/channels/884737276171649085/1241843813539119174
Haven’t picked up my needles in at least a year now. I personally prefer crochet since it’s quicker and I can make more shapes 🙃
But for socks….
I’ve never made socks but I have seen plenty of tutorials and patterns floating around (both crochet and knitting)
yeah i found a knittign pattern i liked after realising chrocheting socks is a bit too difficult
https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=6892&cid=19 want to make these hhehe
They look so pretty!
yess but i have never really knitted hahha
You might want to start with learning the stitches and how to cast on/off first then.
To some people, knitting is apparently harder than crochet.
but i can learn that while starting the socks?
I just realized there are videos in there so yeah, you could definitely learn while making the socks 🧦
ahh ok perfect! i have to get my knitting needels lmao so i have to run to the store and then i will probably start bothering the knitting thread heheh
Best of luck to you! You can always ask questions in the knitting thread if you ever need help. There are probably more experienced knitters than me there 😆
i am gonna only ask you beacuse you are now my most experienced knitting friend unless sai knits
we have a knitting forum as well, btw! https://discord.com/channels/884737276171649085/1241843813539119174
My little elephant!
aww cute!
omg so cute!!
I promise... i'm still working on the snake pattern! i'm finalizing it. probably will be done on or the day after lunar new year (aka wednesday)
that sounds good!
Finally finished mine too! Took a bit with the hat since, I am just not good at random dots.. Also got most done in Christmas break and then started working again. Mean will pebble was sitting there without ears and hat

did you use a pattern from quartett or diy'd it yourself??
I tested the pattern from quartett!
ahh that's awesome! so fun!
your pebble is very cute and i love hte removable hat!
do you mind if i gave you a tip for your eye embroidering?
I LOVE IT!!!!
I don't mind normally I do it differently just was a bit difficult since it was different yarn I am used to
when embroiderign eyes, when you think you've done enough, go more and the shape and size will naturally just come through
like going in and out of the same 2 holes like sewing on a button, do that a ton of times. sometiems i do it liek 20x to get a big, round eye
Sometimes it's hard to indicate how much you want, but I get what you men thanks for the tip
if anything, more is better
True especially with cake!
made a little beaded crochet heart for valentine's day.. a little late 😛 but I finished....
ignore all the other unfinished projects i have
Adorable!
thank you!
It was.. harder than expected.. but i think that might be because I was also using a very small hook and like 3 strands of embroidery thread as my "yarn"
the smaller the items.. the more annoying the magic ring is... and then you throw beads in there and it kinda sucks lmao
very cute! your bobbles came out super nice!!
Awe dragon hatchling is so cute!
Thajk you I did 6 instead of 5 so it looked more like a round shape. Also did way more yarn with the eyes like you gave me for a tip! It looks way nicer. Just struggled woth the white
great choice! I also do more than the recommended for bobbles. I always find the bobbles aren't prominent enough.
yes your eyes are so nice and round!!!
That's so true, it's nicer if they show more! Thank you so much!
but YOU did it! and it's great!
Omg I lub him
He is soooo freakin cuteeee!
Can I have the pattern?
I really like how the chef's hat looks
Took me like four hours🙈
worth it! looks so good
I made a baby elephant during my breaks yesterday. (Sorry I can’t keep the elephant centered in the vid)
Sooo cute!
okay that is pretty adorable, i love the furry texture you chose for it
it's an eyelash yarn from lionbrand: Feels like bliss
"eyelash"
i can but but it's not the easiest. similar to any furry yarn
eeeee
yeh feels like bliss is the shortest yet most compact eyelash yarn i've seen. normally they're long strands that are really spread out
I usually make my crochet out of cotton or T-shirt yarn
i got the minikins pack so i could see multiple colors
noice
my favorite is plush yarn from Premier Yarns. I use their parfait chunky but i just got some of their normal chenille and it's just as soft but thinner
i've gotten super used to feeling stitches so i'm starting to move into harder to work with yarns like fuzzy
i'll show you a wip
Stoooop this is so cute omg
https://www.instagram.com/share/_gPfAPQSO
this is the pattern for the elephant btw
❤️
It was cuter in your yarn
i modded it cause i was running low on the blue so i gave it a diaper and matched the feet/hands to the inner ear and gave it a tail
yess! it's super cute yarn. doesn't feel the softest though. kinda misleading XD
This is a WIP
Ohhh no
in process of floofing him up and then i have to trim. but that fluffy yarn was really annoying to work with
Nooo is it an highland cow😍😍
yess!
Fluffy yarn is cheating anyway
i think it's not. it takes so much to work with
just to get him in this state took several weeks
he's just a baby 🥹
Hahah aw
If you ever checked the instagram posts I send you you could see what I am considering to make
oh lolol i'll go look now. i have a minute
Haha ok
Omg so cuteee
Omgg lovee the yarn
It makes super cute plushies!!! Look up barnaby the bee on insta
I just did but can't find the account
Omg that’s so cute
Right!?
Or the ferret! Let me find that one hehehe
https://www.instagram.com/share/_xncH-NNv
she links the original pattern maker in her comment but I didn’t feel like scrolling on the other page
Ahhhh I kinda need to figure out where to get that to Norway
The yarn??
Yess
Oh idk. I think it’s a US company
Ohhh
Lions brand
I had to order online cause none of my stores sold it
Their site says they do international shipping!
It’s easier than fuzzy/furry yarn but not as easy as plush. And it’s super smooth. I had to wrap it around my finger 2-3 times because it kept slipping.
ohh
That's adorable!
Isn't that the same link?
For sure saw that on my feed
EEEEK! Yall sold me out of the November ferret launch and for that I am so grateful. If you missed it, don’t worry. They will restock early January 2025 and you can sign up for a restock notification through the ferret listing in my bio!!!
Y’all have made me the happiest girl alive, thank you so very much for all of your endless support.
Flopp...
5872
oh was it the same? i was on mobile and didn't check. but yes! this is the one
Yes the link name is the same to and just showed the bee
I saw the same and thought it was on purpose or I thought it’s ok sai is old
It was like the two options so I didn’t say anything
My first clothing piece is finally done! Made a cardigan!
Looks nice and warm!
Thanks! It really is!:3
looks soft and cozy! how was your experience? I didn't enjoy making clothes. foudn it tedious
i kinda liked it, it is patchwork so i made several pieces and that kept me from feeling exhausted i think
I make that ! 💓
Made a tiny bag 🛍️
so far my magnum opus - I don't have much time to crochet so I rarely make and finish big things
pattern = kroonluchter alexia by joke lindeman on ravelry
the photo is taken by my aunt in her dining room, this was a gift to her
also my bag made with bobbiny premium, based on a pattern a shop owner wrote out for me) I currently use it to take my crochet WIPS to work
Ouuu very nice projects! They look so clean and professionally done
my curse is that I crochet too tight sometimes, it looks neat but when trying to make something a specific size I always need to improv extra rows
Ah yeah the tension. If your habit is crocheting too tightly, have you tried using a bigger hook to help with tension/gauge?
....sometimes if I remember to
XP fair, I guess the key is to remember to size up
for this one I was stubborn enough to ignore the 4.25 reccomended and instead used a 4.0 mm hook since I didnt want to go to a store
result: needing to add more rows to reach the wooden circle i need to attach it to
I am thinking of redoing it but im a bit torn
still got plenty of time till christmas
its supposed to become this
Oooo pretty!
I feel like adding extra rows probably won't cause too much of a change
Unless there's a lot to go to get there
*get smaller embroidery hoop... no one will know
hmm maybe 4 cm or so
the problem is that it was a kit and the hoop has a light bulb attached ;v;
could you possibly stretch it through the blocking process?
Hmmmm.... That might be okay.... But 👀 yeah like Sai suggested maybe block it?
its not close enough to stretch out to the diameter of the circle, even with the leather straps
😭
then again its only a few more rows and I have enough yarn
Fingers crossed... Some extra rows and blocking might do the trick
Spoiler for Arachnophobia !
I'll make this little Spiderman 🥺💓
Not a fan of spiders but omg this was cute I want to make one
I buy the pattern : Bedabee (on etsy) !
In english, french, spanish and italian
Oooo thanks for letting me know
It's a very cute spooder. 😅Also not a fan but this little guy looks very friendly
looks like a lot of us dont like spiders XD but i agree he looks adorbss
Finally finished this project 😅a granny square sweater vest
CUTE
Mood haha. I don't think they're abandoned but on a long hiatus
And I'm starting a new project tomorrow because I'm joining a crochet a long thing 😅
ooo that sounds fun! how does that work
youre so right, one day i will get to stitching together the granny squares for the tote bag 😂😂
How did I never find this channel until now?!
Here's one of my latest crochet pieces I made. Pattern is by babybatzycreations on insta 🫶
thats so adorable but how did you do the stem on the head?
Thank you! It's made with clay, I also made the buttons with clay.
He is supposed to be a little forest spirit, who made himself a froggy costume and "hand carved wooden" button eyes, so I made them to kind of look like that:D
its looking so good
It's basically just a kit and they share the pattern bit by bit over the course of a few weeks.
Woahhhhh it's so cute!
What are you making for this chrochet along
Its going to be a shawl~
Ooo perfect for grandpas
ooo that sounds fun!
😛 hopefully it turns out ok. Probably should make a gauge swatch lol
id be anticipating the next steps on the edge of my seat during the entire thing 😂
Hahaha the first part of the pattern gets released on the 19th
This is what the finish product will hopefully look like
cute, lovely with the white + gradient yarn combo
I feel like this would be nice with a white + blue/green or yellow/orange combo too
oh yeah a blue/ green combo would look lovely - i 'm very biased towards blue/green
the colours IRL with the colour gradient yarn is actually not as bright; a little more muted. Which i prefer
looks a little more "adult"

Finished the cactus in the train. Now I have a new plant for at work!
OMG so cute.... I want to named him/her Stewie !
Progress on that shawl I shared earlier!
About 1.5? 2? Hrs of work! Not bad!
Oops, here's the "right" side of the work 😅
Such a lovely name!
Looks so good! Love the colors
Thanks! Honestly this yarn in the kit surprised me. Transitions very prettily
looks like very nice thick warm yarn, nice progress!
Thank you! It's actually a light sports weight yarn haha. But the pattern has a lot of texture so I can see why it looks thick
Sorry for the light (00:45 at night) 😂👌🏻
Annnd part 1 of the shawl done. Gotta wait for part 2 to be released~
Made a little rabbit
so cute!
its looking good paltere!!

there are free snom patterns but i really liked this one
Oee will check it out! Thank you!
no problem!
Does anyone have experiencing with baby securing amigurimis. Have one with stafety eyes that one person want for a babyshower But i dont want to give it away with safety eyes so i am wondering if i could take them off with pleiers or something and embroider the eyes instead.. has anyone done that?
https://youtu.be/PK-mpftmxqM?si=xIGkddWq7Bw7YYhi at 2:12 they use it! So should be fine

#safetyEyes #HowToRemove #...
I just realized I misread your message a bit 😭 I thought you were asking if safety eyes are okay for a baby (totally 1000% not).
I have also removed them with pliers before! The backing may get broken, but it works.
If the Amigurumi is already done and you can not access the backing, depending on the type of yarn and how you secured them you can sometimes just kind of "pull them out" with enough force. I have done that before 😂 Or cut them off, but it may be tricky to remove the inside bit if you just cut them.
Woah
Is it a bunch of coasters? Or are they going to be stitched together to make something bigger?
They are going to be a dress!c:
i just saw this and aaahhhhh so cute
hehehe thank you!!
I'm jumping on the Steve Le Poisson trend!
Free pattern by @therapyonmyhook on instagram
Made some tiny octopuses and a stingray (the stingray needs to be stuffed but I am at my bf and her mother wanted me to use her yarn since she gave up with crochet
)
oh very cute
Whale shark pattern by @mycrochetchums
bottom of moms bag has almost reached proper size
made a tiny bag
Well since everyone is sharing their crochet bags, here’s one I made for one of cousins last year xD
I added little critters on it too
It's adorable! 😍
Thank you!
I regret not lining the bag & doing a better job at blocking it but I was short on time
Honestly I've yet to try to block my projects
It was actually my first time trying it with that project! I just thought since it was going to a kid it would be abused a bit and could use the help to keep its shape a little better
That's fair!
Reached the sides of the bag,no idea what this stitch is called but it cool
Pattern for this stitch from acorn market bag by handmadebyraine
Basically
Chain 3 and dc in next stitch, ch 1,* dc2tog ch1, * repeat between *
Dc2tog:
Yarn over, insert in next stitch and pull up loop. Yarn over pull through 2 loops.
Yarn over, insert in next stitch and pull up loop. Yarn over pull through 2 loops.
Yarn over, pull through all 3 loops.
Whereinas if you do this in the following row, first bit of the dc2tog will be inserted in a dc2tog, and the second bit in a chain 1 space
Went on a holiday and crocheted in the car to our destination
Unfortunately I need to buy another skein of the brown
I severely overestimated how tall it needed to be
Amd miscalculated the yarn
Very very new to crochet. A friend picked up this flower bouquet kit and thought I’d give it a go. I just can’t figure out the instructions 🥲🥲. Anyone who can help me with how to read this? It has a guide on what stitch they mean with X and V etc, but I’m more confused by the rounds and the number in the stitch column. Especially when they say ‘9 loops + 9X’ (with X just being a single crochet)
Eww these are gross. lol. Looks like X is single crochet and v is increase though
Trying to figure out the other stuff 😅
I’ve never seen crochet patterns written like this
Can you send a pic of what they’re supposed to look like? That’ll help me figure out what they’re supposed mean for the centers.
0 is chain
T, W, F are probably double, half double, and triple but I don’t know which is which so pic of the leaves will help too
• seems like it’s slip stitch? Again can confirm better with a pic
So so far I think this is your symbol key (US terms)
• Slip stitch (TBD)
0 chain
X single crochet
V increase
T/W/F triple/double/half double crochet (TBD)
Picot is a type of stitch where you chain 3 then go back to the first chain you made (count 3 chains from your hook) and slip stitch into then continue on the next stitch.
x looks like the substitute of sc haha
made a top c:
So the bit im making now is the back of one of the sunflowers
So what I’ve got now is one magic ring with 6 times single crochet and then 6 increase single crochet. So I’ve done round 1 and round 2. But I’m confused about the third column. Am I now finished with the increase or am I supposed to do 6 more? Since it says 12? 🥲
since you had 6 sc and did 6 inc (2sc in one spot) you end up with 12 stitches and continue with the next round
you are doing 3 chains in the front loop and slip stitch in the same stitch, then you are doing a sc in the next front loop, chain 3, slip stitch in the same stitch and so on
I think that makes sense
sometimes it helps me to visualize it... its a bit messy tho
I’ve never crocheted in my life so I don’t know how to read that sorry 😢🙈
thats why i put the terms next to it, sc (the x) is single crochet the ovals (0) are chains the • is a slip stitch
Ooooh yeah I think I get it now
And when it says BLO6(X,V). I get that it’s back loop only, but I don’t quite understand the stuff in between brackets. Do you do a single crochet and then on top of that an increase single crochet before you move on to the next stitch?
no, you are doing in one stitch a single crochet and in the next an increase, you repeat it 6 times; the "," means that you put them in different stitches and the number before (sometimes after) the bracket is the amount of times you repeat what is written in the brackets
so you go: sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc
So you’re alternating? But aren’t you going around the ring twice?
yes, you alternate between the two stitches in the brackets, no, you shouldnt need to go around twice you do one single crochet in the first stitch and two single crochets in the second, you go one single crochet in the third and two in the fourth stitch and so on
this is row 3
x is a single crochet
dont worry, feel free to ask if you have a question! c:
Okay for the leaves I think it’s
T is double crochet, F is triple crochet, W is 2 increases. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
So the leaf in 2nd column for example you chain 8. Then 2nd chain from your hook you start with sc, dc, 4 triple crochet, double crochet and you’ll reach the end of the chain. 2 increases in that last chain stitch. I’d do 2 on one side of the tail and 2 on the other side so it looks nice and that’ll naturally cause you to rotate the piece cause you’re still crocheting in the round at this point.
Then you’ll repeat dc, 4tc, dc so it mirrors what you just did and end the last chain with a sc then chain one and turn.
No longer in the rough cause you turned which means you’ve flipped the piece and you’re now going reverse of what you just did. Increase in first stitch (not the chain 1 you made), 7sc, sc in next stitch then before moving on to the next stitch to do the other sc, you’re sticking a picot stitch in between so chain 3 then slip stitch into the first chain you made. Sc into next stitch, 7 sc, end with and increase.
So symbol key (US terms)
• Slip stitch (TBD)
0 chain
X single crochet
V increase
T double crochet
F triple crochet
W 2increases in 1 stitch
Picot is a type of stitch where you chain 3 then go back to the first chain you made (count 3 chains from your hook) and slip stitch into then continue on the next stitch.
Super super helpful! Thank you all for helping me out💕🥰🤗. It does have a little booklet with it where it shows the diagrams of what to do and I’ve looked up a couple tutorials online so it think I’m good to go. Gonna give it another crack and hopefully I’ll be able to see this project through. Will share results if there are any!
Good luck!
super cute kit though
I just found this pattern again- used it as one of my very first learning projects
Made myself a (new) mushroom hat 💖
(I‘m a true censoring professional I know 😂)
Pattern is by hyggecrochetco on etsy, and I modified it to my liking.
🤩🤩🤩
Cutee
https://www.myhobbyiscrochet.com/2023/11/wheat-hat-free-crochet-pattern.html?m=1
had a stomach ache so picked a random ball of yarn to try a pattern- I had saved this yarn bc it was a pretty colour but I never wear or decorate with this colour... im yoloing just to make something with it
cute friend!
frank XD
I’m pretty late here but in case you’re still struggling, it’s apparently called the “XVA notation” that’s more used in Asia. You can find what the symbols mean online but here’s a few I’ve found:
0 = Chain
X = Single crochet
T = Half double crochet
F = Double crochet
E = Treble crochet
V = Increase
W = 3 single crochets in the same stitch
The « Stitch » column is basically how many stitches you should have at the end of each round. So when it says « 9 loops + 9 X » it just means you should have 9 disk florets with a single crochet stitch in between each one.
Omg how have I only just discovered this crochet chat 😍 I’m so happy
My most recent bigger make ❤️
OMG I LOVE IT
Hey Bootay, please reffer to the rules on not giving out closed information about your location! I deleted your message, you can send it again tho
Omg loll I’m also working on a dinosaur xD
I only have the head rn tho
it was bigger than expected and somehow my hand fits in there 😅
omg how cute and adorable 🥰
it was the some for my dinosaur, I thought it would be small, but was surprised too, when I finished the head. on the pattern picture it looked much smaller 😆
I’ve created a frog army + hamster
Love them!
does anyone know how a puff-2 stitch work+ i am 99 percent sure i do it wrong cause i am having wayyy to many stitches and its getting worse for each round lol
https://sarahmaker.com/crochet-puff-stitch/ maybe this helps? It has pictures of all the steps
There's a humble bundle rn with lots of crochet and knitting books
22 books for at least 17.50
or less if you go for smaller book bundles
But nowadays there are so many ai books in the markets :(
That's true. I forget who but someone on Threads had mentioned that too and shared some ways to identify AI vs non AI crochet/knitting books.
- AI created books are less likely to share exactly what patterns are included in the book (maybe out of laziness?)
- Minimal pictures. Very unlikely to include a picture that showcases a page that includes some of a pattern as well.
- If you can look closely at any of the pictures, AI has gotten better at replicating knitting and crocheting but it's still not very good at it when closely inspected. There may be knit and crochet in the same picture. The stitches don't look real.
- Any people seen crocheting or knitting still don't know how to hold the needles/hooks correctly.
Omg so cuteee
Got encouraged to start and bought this starter set :)
ooo so fun! let us know if you need help. i think start with the chick or the bee for the easiest based on shape. probably chick though since bee includes color changes.
easiest with 0 to little sewing and color changes if you are trying to decide on which to start on
Ahhh exciting I am happy for you
This one only includes the materials for the bunny, bee and penguin though so I guess bee it is
ohhh... do the bunny first then. color changing can be confusing for first timers
Ok bunny it is!
bunny > bee > penguin would be my recommended order from easy to hard
Getting closer to being done. 3.5 rows of tan/beige and then back to dark blue for the handles
Finished making a very smol guy for a friend. Her favourite character from Love and Deepspace (he is only 4cm tall)
I FORGOT
FORGOT WHAT
adorable friend!!
is it the same froggo with outfits?
or 2 froggos?
smol! even better
i've been working on a goose but i did not follow the pattern's hook nor the yarn size so i'm having to make adjustments hahahaha
i'll share when i'm done
hahaha i do that all the time it's actually fun to figure out
where's your froggo pattern from? if you don't mind sharing.
i used this vid! https://youtu.be/8p-MMSpg-1E?si=b7eo0Md9kOYWZuKW
Hi everyone!
Today I will show you how to crochet a leggy frog which everyone loves!
However, I made it a little bit chubbier and also outfits for him :D
Plus if you add Press Buttons on his hands, he will be able to hold your bag strap and will follow you wherever you go! How Cool! T_T
You can also attach keychain ring to use as a frog keychain...
i only realised after i finished the froggo that she mixed yarn overs and unders so mine turned out bigger and fatter than hers
mixed??? I'm a yarn over/yarn under person.
yeah! i saw someone comment about it, im fully a yarn over girlie so mine was BIG
you can adjust next time by using a smaller hook!
haha and check the comments before starting 😂😂
i always forget to do that
it's a fun surprise though!
i'll have to make one for myself. maybe add magnets in the arms/hands
omg yess i wanted to do the clip things actually but i couldn't find any that were small enough
So cuuuuute
That would be so cute!
That's true. Period. 🤣
okay but you won't tell us what kind???
rude
like dude where is the haul
It's just reg acrylic yarn, nothing fancy xD
A dark purple, a mint- aqua colour and a.. purple mix?
The two loops and threads yarns are a cotton-acrylic blend
pretty! do you have a project in mind or was it mostly grabby grabby?
so... you lied? hahahaha
Hats~ the dark purple is going to be a beret.. I tried making with a different yarn but it was not working out. Too bulky
1/2 lied? XD
typical paltere..
I haven't bought yarn in a long time. i've been good
but i have a lot of unfinished projects so i have actually been bad
i finish my projects
Finished a beret for my gf
that's so cute!!!
Speed worked on it starting yesterday xD
with the new yarn!
Yeeep
the top makes me think of a candy cane patterned one
It would definitely work with two colours
Would be a little more annoying with the switching
berry beret next
:v hmm yes i could try that
such a nice pattern!!! love it
now you have to do something with the other two skeins you bought
Thank you! The wonders of YouTube!!!
I'm planning on turning the other two into beanies
omg its so cuuuuute
Maybe silly but I’ve been using this blanket as a time sink and to get rid of all thjs yarn ive hoarded. I started when I was maybe 13 and I’m coming back to it at 19, and you can see how my yarn choices changed as I worked on this on and off throughout the years
the colours are still so cohesive!
I like it
Wow! It's so much work! Congrats!
I was thinking about the same, to make a big blanket from my leftover yarns but I have big chunky and really thin ones too
I don't think I would work nicely
I started with clunky, and then when I got to my thinner ones I used like 3 yarns at once to get the fullness I needed
Ah I see! That's clever!
My very first little plushie project. He's so weird at his back, you'll never see it xD
But at least I did it
Sooooo cute
Thank youuu
I love him!
Does he have a name?
"Ei mit Flossen" xD
I love that 😂
adorableeee
Made two little cats. I’m gonna make them little bag charms
They are adorable
Cuuuute
Thank you 🥹
-# boop
Boop the nose
Aaaaa soo cuteeee
Today i started a leftover yarn blanket to!
I wonder how long I will last without starting a new project😂
That’s so exciting!!
The plan is I won't buy new yarn until I finish the blanket
Thanks for the inspiration!😊
Oooo, I hope you have fun!
In this past week ive made almost a foot of progress
Which is impressive for a blanket with a greater arm span than mine lmao
The only exceptions are christmas presents of course. I will probably crochet something for my sisters
Of course, gotta make Christmas presents
Wow! That really is impressive!!😳
The trick is, every night I’ve been listening to this read along podcast with my little brother
So for about 2 hours I’ll just be crocheting away lmao
I just saw that you started from the longer side of the blanket. Maybe that's what i should do too... Hmmm... Because i started from the shorter side
Aww that's nice :3
I'm really proud of this Pigeon I recently made, inspired by the game Spirit City
Oh wowww, that looks amazing! Great job
Awe it looks so good!!!!
Amazing!🤩 You are so talented and patient!
Thank you
It took so long honestly to get it right, I was starting to loose my mind 😂
SPIRIT CITYYY slay girl its so cute and the work is amazing
you created it from scratch??? boss girl right there
Yes I made a pattern for it! I also have one for Hexwing and the Squire Sprouts 😎
oh thats so cool
how did you start in creating patterns? i kiinda wanna but have no idea how to even start
I just crochet the pieces. I honestly don‘t know how to explain 😭
I have an idea in my head that I draw out or pictures of the thing I want to make, and then I just crochet and write it down as I go.
Almost always I have to frog and make changes a few times until I get it how I want. Sometimes it works how I want on the second try, sometimes it takes 5+ times.. 😆
@silent rapids He's just in time ready for my grandpa. Now we're driving to him
Heeeeeelp @silent rapids I crochet the head of the dino. But I was kinda distracted because of my grandpa (I'm at him rn) and I cut of the yarn for sewing the head and body later together
All in all it was weird what I should do in the end (last pic)
Ohhh sekki it’s fine! If you have attached it propperly just attach the thread like you do when you end it and sew it on like normal! This will be solved!! It might happen @dusky current has a better idea but this is what I would do
I will try. I thought of just kinda sewing them together. I did the head wrong anyway how I placed the eyes. Idk I kinda thought otherwise
It is looking verry cute so far! And you have chrocheted so even
Yess
Or leave it like that and it's a cute little slime!
Finally added the little strings for the keychains
Cuuuute
@silent rapids they are done :3
Wooow love them
Thank you! I'm still working on the little dino
Cuute i am excited to see
Such cutiessss, love them
omg the little green one is my fave! they are so cute!
Thank youuu!
Update on my truly massive blanket: I have finished it
It comfortably fits a California king sized bed
I did not mean to do that
My bed is a twin lmao
Woaaa good job!
Yay!!! Well done!
oh that sounds soo comfy
It’s so warm dude, I’m only gonna be able to use it during the winter, lol
hahahaha omg i alwayss feel whenever i stuff to wear out of yarn, even the cooling ones, they're still hot
like ok i just sweat a lot ig
When you use a needle size too small 😭
Im so torn on if I should redo it with a needle bigger or
Oh no
Can't you just add a few more rows?🥺

But it will be soo perfect with the bigger hook
I did the same mistake with granny squares but I was so happy when I've finished them correctly the second time
it is painful but in the end it will work out
And it's already looks better too🤩
true
