The meta is to not approach, and since garnet is slower and doesn't have the best approach tools (in comparison to top tier characters), it's easy to just .. camp us out. It sucks.

Garnet approach tools are decent. I will defend my take where i'm saying that garnet have one of the best momentum tools that allows to approche in entire pack.
Problem is that her end lags and start ups are very long. Add big hitbox and you have why she is not top tier in this meta

Yeah, she has long end lag, and can't approach safely unlike much of the top tier cast who can engage with very little danger, so her engage tools aren't as good. We're saying the same thing. The tools to approach are great when they hit, but she's punished so easily because her end lag (she's slow, like I said), and she's big

I don't think garnets weak. I just think everyway to play her is better on other characters. Wanna play projectiles with some hands. Play Tom or Marvin. Wanna play a combo heavy brawler with util? Play batman. Wanna cover options with big hitboxes. Play Arya or jack. Garnet really doesn't have anything that feels like garnet specific

I mean whenever you ask. What's garnets identity you get 5 answers

She's a jack of all traits in a way.
