Rank and MMR is handled on a per-character basis, so if you were switching between characters frequently, your MMR gains were likely spread across all those characters. I'd recommend trying to go deep on one character if you want to push your rank.

okay tell your friend to delete his local save data for multiversus. He can do this by pressing "start" while hovering over the game icon then going to "manage game and add-ons". There should be an option to delete his save data.
