My guess is Agent Smith is not really released yet, so they want you to be able to start the event now, but can't have you completing it til closer to the end when they plan to actually release him. They've announced him, but they haven't done a release trailer like they have for other characters. They should maybe communicate better because many are upset and suspicious about it which is fair.

I disagree that it's bs because they still need people to spend money on the game and this is one of the ways they do it, and it so far hasn't stopped my partner from being able to get all the cauldrons despite having none of the skins. I'm not tryna debate with you though, I was just telling you it isn't really required, so I wouldn't worry about it because your friend can still easily get all the cauldrons.

It would be BS if you couldn't bring your friend into those fights because that would render getting the cauldrons impossible. It's FTP you either pay, or grind harder... That's how it works.

If they are gonna copy SSBU's story mode this much, at least make the mission requirements like theirs and be able to actually get the requirements for A: free or B: through the rifts

they copied the master hands (big robot with the hands that only attack with hands), spawning fighters with the computer (theres an attack it summons copies of the characters to fight against you), the "laughing gas" level (minigames in SSBU story that you need to complete a obstacle course kinda that follows you from left to right and you need to complete it before time or the thing gets you), the watermelon level (extra gamemode in the game that you need to kill as many 1-hit enemies as possible before the time runs out or you die), and probably some other examples i missed

A "loadout" system for account cosmetics would go a long way towards making them more valuable. I'd love to be able to theme my ringout, banner, etc. to whichever fighter I'm using.

This would also make account cosmetics more valuable. Right now, I have a single banner I like, which makes all other banners effectively worthless to unlock. Letting me customize them for specific characters multiplies the number of unique banners I'd usefully want.

And while I'm posting loadout dreams, multiple loadouts per character would also be sweet. Again, I have variants I like on several of my mains, which makes more skins for those characters feel worthless. Imagine if I could randomize between a few of my favourite variants, or even connect specific variants to specific banners / ringouts / badges?

And finally, once you bring back the "swap side/neutral attack inputs" from the beta, please make it character-specific! It makes so much sense for some characters (like Superman), but totally breaks other characters (like Velma). Tying it to a loadout system might be neat. 😉

Some feedback on challenges in rifts. I generally like the rifts mode as levels to beat and then challenges to get through, but it was really disappointing to see the vast majority of challenges in Surfs Up be just, playing a specific character type or character skin type. It pretty much entirely defeats having any challenges to beat, it's just asking players to have items they bought. I don't mind having levels or paths locked behind certain characters or skin variants, I think that's like a benefit for players who pay for or collect those items. But all of the fun challenge of ticking off multiple boxes that are real challenges was like entirely gone on this rift. If you can beat the levels, especially on the easier modes. then there isn't much more to do than play it multiple times with different skins or characters, but the challenges don't actually challenge you. Better challenges should push the players skills, like getting the enemy to hit 10 ghosts, or not getting rung out on a boss fight, maybe beating levels fast enough, or using certain character TYPES that would make the level more difficult like using a Tank during a speedy fight. Otherwise, I like the rifts mode as a way to get some fighter currency and eventually unlock Agent Smith! Reminds me of playing Melee and trying to get each character by finishing different modes with each character, or events.

EDIT: THE BATTLEPASS XP FOR CHALLENGES AND DAILY REWARDS WAS A GOOD IDEA, LET PLAYERS EARN MORE FROM PLAYING PVE JUST LIKE THAT

I just found out that there's a glitch with stripes gun, if you have the enemy targeted, sometimes the shots don't hit but they still use ammo, the full animation plays and there isnt a hit infront of him either, please fix this

Please add an offline mode. The game being always online guarantees the game will be unplayable when Warner Bros decides to pull the plug. The beta had an offline mode, but it strangely disappeared during this full release. I bought a Founders Pack during this era, but I am not comfortable putting any more money into this game until an offline mode is added and assuring it won't become unplayable when support stops.

Tony Huynh and everyone else at PFG, please show that the name "Player First" Games isn't just for show, and add an offline mode.

i had a question regarding the tooniverse skins in the game, they give the character cell shading to appear more like a retro animation but they do not have the animated tag on any of the characters in the game and actively remove the animated tag from characters that are already from animated shows like scooby doo or adventure time. i was just wondering what the thought process for that decision was

Side note, one thing that rubs me the wrong way a bit is how the BTAS skin for Bats is in the fortnite-y style. No cel-shading even. Broadly, all the skins conform to that style and I think it'd be more interesting if the skins actually changed the look of the models to appear more closer to whatever they're supposed to be from. Like the ones that only change clothes would be Basic skins, and ones that alter the models would be Deluxe skins. Anyway, best bet would be PFG to continue playing catch up and WB to step back. since people look foundly on the beta (that i was not their for) PFG proved they can make a good game a game people enjoy. following the current system. I rather Events be many to offer player choice and have long deadlines and be often. this is to reduce FOMO for new players for missing past events. cause so far following how events have been. Events rn seemed to be based on that assumption of you particapting in the past one. which isn't very future proof.

I also wish perk currency and player currency to be given out often as this game seems very cosmetic focused so giving players easier time to pick and try characters they like without the fear of being locked in, forced would be really nice. battlepass exp should be given with everything you do. fighter currency should always be free. gleamium and cosmetic can remin locked to preium. and fighters should have floating price points like most hero shooters. cheap characters get people in the door.

but thats like all the feedback i have for the current game and most of it sounds reasonable. since games like LoL do it too. i can understand not lowering figher costs. since the cast is a bit small. but something has to be done about the fighter currency situation i feel like. its for me the biggest reason i don't paly the game more. i want to keep playing but i'm so tired of only playing two characters etc

I bet this has been said before but we should be able to exit or retry rift missions from the start menu. There’s a glitch where the controller just stops working that can happen on any platform as far as I can tell and when this happens to the host in rifts or when the host disconnects, and the 2nd player dies… the 2nd player is in a bubble unable to do anything except wait for the cpu to take all of player 1s stocks, wait for the timer to run out, or close and reopen Multiversus

We’re talking AI attacks guaranteeing the damage even if you interrupt them on startup, and doing up to 200 damage with level 7 gems. The gems simply do not scale for this

Again with a new rift popping up I would like to add on to my feedback. If you aren't going to prevent missions that are impossible to do for the player, allowing them to play them for the mission like guest characters for rift nodes is a good solution.

Managed to get my "play as a Steven universe character" mission over with since one of the new rift nodes had garnet as a guest character.

Either this or allow your party member to count towards your progress for missions, this way even if you don't have a character unlocked if you play alongside someone that does then you can still complete it without being forced to grind extra hard or put in extra cash.

on top of this, people just die WAY too fast. a mix of too large hitboxes, too small deathboxes(they should go offscreen, not lie on the border), and too many "carry moves" AKA moves that both knock you in a direction while following you in the direction that you got knocked in. these moves seem to perfectly place you for a combo while also being kill confirms at the same time.

The thing is, there ARE characters that have that prediction playstyle, but the game is so badly balanced right now that the top tiers can literally use any move and have value for free.

Moves in general have the worst priority scaling I've ever seen in a platform fighter, and since attacks don't clash, the better characters just tend to win exchanges more even if their opponent reacted first. I can see my "Jinkies" appear on-screen for half a second, but Wonder Woman's forward air comes out AFTER and beats the move. HUH.

Why did they design every Assassin and Bruiser with an annoying proejctile that's completely viable to camp with? The "Stop Camping" system doesn't work at all to prevent people from doing that, and the punishment it brings (reduced dodge meter) is laughable because it replenishes way too fast for a game built with a resource-based dodge in mind. Either fix the recharge rate or get rid of it entirely. Most characters' neutral revolves around just spamming the hell out of dodge to annoyingly space out people, which is itself a form of in-game camping that is impossible to punish. (i.e.; Joker spamming dodge until he jabs you and sets up his disgusting combo)

Why does every Tank have better frame data than most of the cast? That inherently makes no sense, they might as well be Bruisers+ at this point because on top of just not dying, they have every chance to retaliate instantly after whiffing one of their bigger moves. (I'm looking at you, Iron Giant)

There's so many issues that need to be addressed with this game going forward. Some matchups are legitimately impossible to play because of how each character involved functions fundamentally.

Like, we're all playing our characters that are fun to play, but as soon as Ranked gets released, it is going to be Brawl all over again unless significant changes roll out beforehand.

Class distinctions don't mean anything right now, in fact it feels like a couple of classifications are flat-out wrong for some of these guys. Why is Harley Quinn an assassin and Joker is a mage? There is nearly zero difference in how they play the neutral. The assassin passive is not a thing anymore, so the Glass Cannon aspect is gone from assassins to justify the distinction. Like I wouldn't blame people for calling Finn a bruiser.

The fact that Marvin is labeled as an assassin and not a mage is making me wonder why we have these labels to begin with.

Very happy with the XP changes given to rifts. However, I think it may also be neat / a good choice to give rifts their own daily/weekly quests that don't overlap with the PvP ones. It both incentivizes playing rifts, incentivizes trying out different gems (other than your most powerful ones, as you can always just slide over to easy difficulty) & can give more chances to level up gems through putting the gem boosters in the rift quests exclusively (maybe? i'm iffy on that idea but personally think it's logical). Alongside the benefits it gives to the rift experience, it helps reduce grind pretty heavily for the BP itself, something clearly getting cracked down on already.

Yeah, since we can't see console stats it's hard to say how many players we really have, free to play games tend to attract a lot of players on console and on ps it's on the front of the store atm.

We had over a 100 thousand for a short time then it dropped to 40-60k for the next 4 days and since then we don't even reach 20k anymore what's really low (on steam)

u definitely play everyday/ very regularly and have spent quite a lot of time in rifts. idk why u ate trying to downplay how much u are playing when I know this for fact as i do the same. You thinking from a perspective who plays everyday and only is halfway done with the pass is good? actually think about people who play less frequently. with missing all the dailies it would be very hard for them to complete the pass if they finally were able to put in more time for it later. Not to mention so many missions for xp are paywalled.

As for rifts, I played them with my partner when they came out and spent like 30 minutes tops on each difficulty... They release them every couple weeks so it shouldn't be too hard to keep up.... If you don't have some of the skins required, there are plenty of community members willing to bring you into those levels... Spend more time playing the game and less time complaining about it, and maybe youd be where I am....

i have saved 1150, and i have the bp from beta at lvl 49 idk if it was really possible for free. getting a char to lvl 15 is long af.. the reward is good but its only 1 time thing. if they update the store every single day for items at 50,100, 150... and every week the have a feature mission with skin rewards, might as well add 50gleam in it. it will still take a month of completing missions to finally get one emote...
