this game is always gonna be in beta. It's gonna be at least 5 years before it reaches smash's level of refinement. Animations there are 10 levels above, gameplay is not exactly faster but smoother. What Mvs has over smash is that every character is tailored to the multiversus style of aesthetic.

MultiVersus nuked skill expression. The slowness of the game, I'm certain is a ploy to provide a crutch for whales, who seem to be the only people that the devs care any about. As a result of this, the game is now more match-up dependant as ever, and if you go up against anyone playing a meta character, your chances of winning are 0. just 0. no slim, absolute 0. When I used to play the beta, I would go up against the best of the best of players, as I was ranked top 400 at one point. and I never noticed when I was up against a certain character, due to a frequency of loss, but more noticed the player behind it. Now, its simply that If I go up against a WW with 20 wins, they can still beat me (I use T&J) due to the complete lack of skill expression, which was swapped in favour of a 'meta-of-the-week' system, not too dissimilar to mobile games like Clash Royale.

The problem wit h the reasoning that I have deducted, is that they probably won't revert the changes, and the largest content creators behind the game, parrot the same flawed talking points that the devs wish them to. Examples of these include 'well the game was too fast before' or 'it was too hard'. Firstly, I do think that the game was too fast, and that the change in speed should have been a proactive effort between the community and the game, instead of a sharp change being dropped on our feet, figuratively. And, as for the second point. The game was hard, but that was just due to the higher level of skill demonstrated by those at the top, which seems to be counterproductive to the bottom line of the marketers. Potentially, I am saying all this because I've become washed and its a skill issue that I get beaten by absolute newbies. To this I say, I hope that I have not been biased, and considered the possibility that I perhaps became worse at the game due to hiatus, however in the weeks leading up to MultiVersus' rerelease, I had practiced endlessly against opponents on local play.

I think your problem is that some character kits adapted much better to the new system than others and they didn't really do anything to mitigate that. Having a second perkset specifically for armor-spam characters can be game-turning against most pleb WWs but i don't often see "balance for the antics of top echelon players" work out too well

I don't like the gameplay in general. It's now less about manouvers and more about big hitbox spam. It seems that every single change they make to the game, does the opposite of what its supposed to.
Examples: Perks too generic? Make it so everyone runs snowball, speed, pugilist. Game too whiffy/spammy? Make SOME hitboxes massive and high in damage, and leave others in the dust.

I’ve only been able to enjoy a total of 5 matches until my brother or my girl gets disconnected from the game and then receives a ban. My brother on pc crashes and the game disconnects.

I completely disagree, when I played the beta it felt nearly unplayable as you couldn't punish any approaches and everyone was just throwing out their best hitbox all the time and you had to predict how they were going to move. I personally like the slower pace of the game, it makes it feel more strategic instead of just mashing until you kill. disconnected characters should be removed from the match instead of having their character stay and continue doing their last action. it leads to characters running off the end infinitely or giving the enemies free kills on an idol character

it ruins peoples stats when randoms leave or internet issues cause disconnects.

at least if the character gets disconnected fully, it gives the other person a fighting chance, 1 v 2 is hard but not impossible

Another suggestion, maybe add an option in settings to only input dashattack with double tap instead of always out of running. I am not sure if its meant to be like that by design, but that option would change a lot - especially with the current buffer.

I AM ON A KEYBOARD THERE IS NO SNAPBACK. I just wanna say this one more time. My character randomly holds a direction and locks me from using moves in other directions. I won't be holding any direction and my character will either run off the stage or hold crouch. Even sometimes play by itself for a good 10 seconds, just inputting random moves. I just had a game where my character ran from center stage, double jumped off the stage and side b'd to my death. My hands were off the keyboard the entire time. Anyone know if they'll fix this. Again since I've had a similar response multiple times. I am on KEYBOARD, NOT CONTROLLER + I am not mashing, 'cause my character will be doing special moves without be even pressing the special button.

Removing a character when there are plenty of other issues that affect more of the game, and there isn't even comp yet is kind of kneejerk and silly.

Also, when I get defeated in a rift, I usually want to try that rift again, but it always moves me to the highest level you've beaten in that rift forcing me to go back to the level I want to do... it is a small thing, but a bit annoying.

2. The game should be geared toward PvP. Rifts should be a small diversion. The Event to unlock Agent Smith is insanely grindy. It should be something more like unlock a level per Rift BATTLE, not one level per whole RIFT. That's insane. XD
3. If you want ppl to PvP, then PvP should always be the MOST rewarding activity. Other options are for spice and minor diversions.

We don't have enough XP to farm the battle pass as is, let alone enough to get the character currency to unlock specific characters. Also, all characters will probably be on free rotation at some point... this is how f2p works.... you can either spend money or grind or wait. They have to make money off the game somehow and entice players to spend money is how they do that....

Although I enjoy the gameplay and design, I feel Multiversus will eventually die off solely due to the over monetization of the game. WB would do well to remember what happened when EA tried to milk Star wars Battlefront 2. Starting with just one character and needing to pay around $10 for each character is outrageous. Nevermind $15+ for costumes. 4 costumes = a full price game. I joined the beta and bought the founders addition for that I received a solid return. But I tell my friends I can't recommend it currently because the cost is too high to actually get a full game.
