It's the single most fundamental number one thing you need in your fighting game. If you can't literally interact with game objects/players properly, it's dead on arrival and no amount of fanboyism or excuses will change that.

Hate to say it, but how about removing perks. Make it truly competitive and a fighting game without cheese perk metas.
I know they are not PAY 2 WIN perks and you have to grind for them. Make characters unique for who they are not for what perks are best for them.

Arya needs a faster movement speed imo, she’s fairly balanced but has trouble getting out of bad situations even though it seems like she’s supposed to be able to poke and deal some damage and then get to safety while she is on cooldown. I think the cooldown on dagger is balanced, I think her damage is fair, so either giving her a viable “kill” move or increasing her speed would make her worth the time it takes to learn her

Having class balancing is a bad idea. Assassins taking 14% extra damage just because the developers labeled the character as an assassin seems like a bad balancing decision. What happens to a character that fits thematically with an assassin but is hard to balance due to taking 14% increased damage

also having separate mmr for each character is a bit weird. likr is a top tier player really 1k elo on a 3rd play through witha character?

People have a lot of great ideas for improvement but for the most part it gets drowned out. For instance the current FFA system right now is pretty awful and changing to stock outs is also problematic. Instead FFA should be a 5 minute match, infinite stocks, at the end of the match 1 point is awarded for each of the following: most knockouts, most assists, most damage, and least deaths. Whoever has the most points wins and in the event of a tie the person with the most damage wins.

It's been hard to tell what's servers/internet and bad collision detection. It's both and that's a recipe for disaster. I don't like it when it's in my favor either. Doesn't feel good. When you can win and still feel miserable, something is very wrong with your game. But it usually causes one to lose rather than win and when the winner due to that acts toxic, it's the ultimate salt that will kill the game. Most people on this discord came because of those reasons.

My personal opinion:
I feel like most characters are really powerful when used right which im a big fan of. I hope the theme of the patches are buffing the characters which feel weaker rather than gutting the ones who feel strong. Not to say that specific moves shouldn’t be nerfed , (Finn up special being a big example) however I do hope the overall theme is buffing some characters instead.
For example imo, garnet feels especially clunky for no particular reason.

i mean, he has huge attacks, they may not be disjointed as finn's hitboxes, but they are still really good, with nice priority too, from my experience atleast, and his batarang can be destroyed yes, but it's really easy to guarantee that it does come back, there are few characters that can actually counter the batarang. With lebron, you don't really need to destroy his ball, just dodge it and it goes on a long cooldown and he turns into literally by far the worst character in the game, while batman loses arguably one of the best moves in the game, but still has plenty of other good moves and movement.

As of right now, it has around 15-20 frames of startup lag; this makes it very difficult to make it useful. If you could, I think it would help for RD to have 6-10 frames of startup lag on his side aerial neutral. If you have to balance it out, it wouldn't be the worst to nerf the knockback or damage (or both) of the move to compensate for the startup buff.

movement keys affect f tilt on batman. when using movement keys, batman gets extra horizontal distance when usiing f-tilt. when using switch horizontal attacks on the ground, f tilt will not move forward as much. I think it might be more consistent to have movemnet keys not affect the 3 hit combo tilts

I'm gonna go on a rant about the rank system, which in my opinion is extremely bad and infuriating. Basically, this game punishes you for losing against oponents with a worse rank than you. You can lose 100 MMR by just losing a game, and what do you get by winning against them? A SINGLE MMR. You can have a 90% winrate and be losing mmr because of this and it makes no sense. You shouldn't get punished by having a high win rate no matter the skill of your opponents. Not to mention this game loves to pair you with players that have way worse ranks than you, so you can realistically only climb the ranking if the matchmaking pairs you with someone with a higher rank than you. Please fix this in ranked mode because right now it's really infuriating

I think certain characters shouldn't only be defined by a singular class and be hybrid classes. Certain characters like Velma and finn don't really match their archetype. For example, velma is a support character but has many mage- like qualities, being the essential zoner who happens to have moves that help allies. Finn is also an outlier in the assassins category as harley and arya are lightweight rushdown combo characters and finn is a big hitbox simple character who has no trouble doing things like killing which is one of the things found in the rest of the assassin archetype.

1. I updated my initial feedback rather quickly might I add that it should be for habitual dodgers. Meaning if you dodge or (once they get the servers more stable) get a random disconnect due to lag etc one or twice it shouldn't affect those people.
2. I never specified a time or anything I'll leave it up to the devs if they implement something but a 2 minute timeout never killed anyone and if someone keeps dodging then it can go up from there for more repeat dodges.
3. I never painted a narrative I just mentioned a system that is neutral, you are the one taking it personally because it impacts your way of dodging if you come across one too many of the same character.

On controller you can use the right stick to attack, and in settings u can set it to either specials or normal attacks, I think a good a addition would be to add the ability to quickly switch between them by holding or pressing LB/L1 or RB/R1.

I think dodge cancelling needs to be removed from some moves. Fighting games as a whole are known for having it but not for EVERY SINGLE MOVE. There needs to be risk to these moves so that they can be properly punished especially for spamming. Like with Taz's tornado the end lag should have been there and should've been a bit long. Superman especially should have end lag on his armored attacks. Anyone with an armored attack should have end lag to prevent spam and give people a chance to actually use the armor breaking moves or to avoid and or punish the move. This game having dodge cancels for every single move only adds frustration to fighting characters like Finn and Superman because they have great dodges. If not remove canceling for every move the number of dodges needs to be way shorter. It makes no sense to be able to dodge around 10 times before feeling the dodge get weak needs to be more like 4 or 5. Still a great game but the dodging and armor attacks need changes as well as the server stability.

I agree with @gentle zinc shaggy can dodge immediately after a Fully charged armor move. There’s 0 room to punish him. How can I punish a character that can literally dodge immediately after they do an armor move? It literally gives people the insensitive to keep spamming armor moves that also have priority in this game. Projectiles are trash in this game. You rarely get rewarded for it unless you’re rein but even then it sucks

Yeah that's the issue with this game's balance is the fact you can't punish people for much if anything. Its just a dodge fest especially in 1v1's Was playing against a Jake that spammed the down special and the punch attack while dodging immediately if he was gonna get punished for attempting anything or failing to land it and the matches went on for way too long. I still won in the end but it was not fun at all playing that

Yeah I agree. I came from smash and I wasn’t used to the dodge mechanic of the instant consecutive dodges. You dodge once in smash in the air and you either get punished or die because of the amount of end lag to the move. I don’t mind the dodging in this game it brings something new but being able to dodge immediately after doing an armor move is a problem im for me

Apparently, there’s pity matchmaking against bots. When in a losing streak, sometimes there’s a bot. In your recent matches, you can’t check that player’s career (and also the last bot I encountered was too easy to beat). At least make a setting to disable it.

(That explains how a winrate above 50% would be bottom 30%)
