i think you might get variants randomly from daily/weekly quests chests, otherwise just getting far on the bp for a specific skin i guess? if they end up bringing back monetization soon or keep the game alive somehow, itll be a lot easier.

PRO TIPS FOR TNJ:After doing jab 3 times don't do the final jab instead Press the sheild attack it deals more damage

While using the paddle use pounce It's useful for Ringouts

To get a boost make a Jerry rock and aim it at tom's ass or you just Go in to the rocket by Using the dodge button to Not use the Device tom is holding and just go straight

After sending jerry to a player Use the rockets and Tennis balls (if jerry is close to the player) to damage them

While in the air With jerry do the UP special and While close to jerry Use the tennis Racket to send out a cork in the air

While you using the Air walker send out a mousetrap

And idk much about the airwalker mousetrap

Use the fishing rod to Get your jerry back

If you wanna do more damage Just don't send jerry out

Without jerry then your damage will be Low a bit

Don't worry jerry can respawn

Well Rounded for more damage

Rocket (When jerry is in the rocket):Its good But i recommend in the air

Why does the game keep matching me against plat players when I play a brand new character? does it not have individual character mmr?

ranked mmr is garbage it seeks anyone within 2 ranks of you, but it depends if there is anyone playing within those ranks if not...well it just does "what it can" to give you a match

(unranked...there is no mmr obviously...so you get screwed)

oh, and if you are grouped with someone...it uses whoever has the highest rank as the base

Fighter currency isn’t being given anymore. It was phased out in favor of Fighter Road. So, once you’ve spent all you had remaining, the store disappears. Check the Fighter Road tab to see your progress towards unlocking the rest of the characters.

I've currently got 590 Fighter currency. I think I was getting 10 as a reward from some rifts that I completed. I only started playing last season some time around when the Jason Elusive rift was going on

It shows as a reward for watermelon stevens and the targets in the omni rifts on easy difficulty so I think they did a few each rift for easy difficulty. Not that it helps any

Yeah, the game is sadly full of oversights like that. May have contributed to its failure. Every update seemed to have some major bug that needed fixing.

When Fighter Road was implemented, everyone’s Fighter Currency was rounded up to a usable amount. Even if you had 10, you’d end up with 3,000. So the meager amount you were able to collect was just a mistake they forgot to scrub.

Hey all, I’m not exactly a new player but I am new to Rifts. I didn’t play Rifts at all in the past, I spent all my time in online matches, but now I really want that Harley Quinn skin before it’s gone. But I am now realizing I have no idea what’s going on in Rifts. I have multiple red, green, and purple gems at level 5. These appear to be passive buffs, so I assume using good ones is integral to beating Rifts, but I’m unable to equip any of them? For reference, I have been doing all dailys and weeklys. I have also been doing all the characters missions that pop up when I unlock characters.

The fighter store is only visible if you have enough fighter currency to buy a character because it's not supposed to be earnable anymore, even though a few rift stages still grant you a tiny amount of fighter currency for completing them for the first time, which is probably an oversight.

The fastest way to get fighter road xp is to keep winning. You get triple the xp for wins compared to losses. The xp from a single match is capped at a certain amount that I can't remember, based on the length of the match. So the optimal way of getting xp is to win every match just as you reach that cap to minimize loading times, but I can't remember how much time you're supposed to finish after to maximize the xp.

You get the same xp per round for ranked, unranked, and even casuals/bots. Just offline-playable modes like customs wouldn't give xp. Ranked and arena will give more xp per full set but that's because they last for multiple rounds and give the xp (still with the same cap per round) all at the end of a full set.

Obviously, you want the xp from the pass and event rewards too but if you're grinding to try to unlock all fighters you'll probably get those naturally. You'll also get small bonuses for reaching character levels 5, 10, and 14 on each character, but the amount isn't very substantial compared to the time it takes, although if you're grinding and don't mind trying different characters I suppose you might as well do that too.

Edit: After testing, you reach the xp cap at 90 seconds into a round.

Doesn't have to be the same platform. Just have to be friends on the WB account friend list. Basically when you're in the game and looking at your "locked in" character, there should be a button icon (for ps4 it's L3) in the upper right corner next the the setting icon. Others have to be in under the "friends" tab or it won't count. Hope that helps

Only way to play "online" is with Shared Remote Play to my knowledge, otherwise you gotta find local tournaments like the one that happened at Super Magfest this past week.
