The classes aren't quite so Pokémon as that, as match-ups are usually gonna be more character-specific. There is in fact no official description given for what each class represents, but here's my interpretation: Tanks specialize in team survivability (lots of armor and ability to soak damage), Assassins specialize in combo ability, and Mages specialize in projectiles/tricky options. And then Bruisers are the all-a-rounders.

In this case, you're saying that an Assassain is supposed to be more of a combo-centric character? I've been learning Finn and since I have no idea how to Combo (nothing in the game is helping with that), I am being inefficient with the class.

I was mostly confused why all the other Assassin's seem to have attacks with way more powerful Knock Back/KO potential. Seriously, Harley's & Bugs' Bat actually KO. Meanwhile, I seem to be consistently having to wrack up more than 150 damage to make any solid hits on my opponents.

Finn's up special is generally a very reliable kill move, though it does depend on how many coins you currently have. Can also definitely kill with most of his charged ground attacks, if charged enough. Or his air side special, depending on positioning

The charge ground attacks are not launching my opponents over 130 damage. I am not talking about the heavy one's either as I assume weight does factor.

The High Five (I believe that's the Up Special) is so telegraphed and slow. The second I put up the hand opponents see's it.

Just do it in the Rifts. (The majority of characters have a Dash style move that breaks armor.)

After the first couple of days, my fiancée and I stopped relaying upon Human opponents to setup scenarios when Rifts tend to have at least one level were pulling off most scenarios are super easy.

Up special is his spinny backpack. High Five is his neutral special, which is slow and obvious, but also does a ton of damage at max charge, and reflects projectiles. As for his ground attacks, remember that they don't charge like other fighters; they only charge up as you move around

The store front just added a 750XP to all Equip Gems in all three types... in the past few hours. The amount of XP awarded for each Star earned is next to nothing overall. The implication for people trying to Free-to-Play only is that earning the extra Stars from your small allotment of Daily Rift Bonus Wins will get you there... but it likely will take forever.

LOGICALLY, based upon the unlock of Looney difficulty, FPG is expecting it to take people at least a month. (Since they are advertising Rifts as a way to get Agent Smith for Free.... ignoring the Early aspect.)

My partner and I have earned very little and we max Star'd 5 or 6 of the Rift difficulties thus far.

The answer is: they did spend money.

We did when we realized it could take months to level up. Plus the store level up adds all the Equip types to your pool even the ones you didn't have prior.

Players can pull it off entirely with skill.

Once again:

Stars completed is how you gain XP in Rifts. One Star = One Equip Gem given XP. (While the amount is unclear, a safe bet until datamining can confirm is higher difficulties will yield more.)

So, skipping Stars will cost you. If you're not 100% which includes the Stars for playing every level as 2 player, it will set back your progression a lot.

The X-Box isn't known for doing that... as in playing new games.

Baulder's Gate 3 had to be downscaled just to run in that ecosystem. Runs perfectly fine on my dirt cheap handheld gaming PC.

X-Box peeps have had it crap this generation. The entire ecosystem tethered to the S makes everything a bit slower and less reliable than any other gaming hardware on the market at the same price point. And Microsoft is literally abandoning it. No more exclusives and Phil Spencer is more concerned with Microsoft making a competitor to the ROG Ally and Steam Deck so they can just sell Game Pass.

You know how you've heard the term XBox Series S and Series X.

The Series X is their PS5. The Series S is their PS4 Pro (much like a re-released Slim PS4 Pro.) Microsoft has enforced a rule this generation: no titles can be released that don't work on the lower powered Series S. AKA: no game for the X-Box this generation has been to the power of this current generation.

Like if all of a sudden your PS5 was locked to only playing PS4 or older gen titles. No PS5 upgrades.

And all of that is ignoring Microsoft has been closing down award winning studios they own and firing everyone because now they own Call of Duty.

Rifts have 5 types of Difficulties.
Individual Rifts only are assigned 4 of those.

To save on UI programming... they have the screen laid out to show all 5 difficulties even when less are used.... at least currently.

If you look at the requirements in the descriptions of each difficulty is becomes clear which is skipped.

so i Started by creating a new Steam and there i tried to pick above 22 age so that i could understand how the process of the game making an acc, after that it lead me to create a WB account then there i found out its all link to your WB account your game process saved etc, next ive change the linked steam account of my WB account to my Main account which is age 17 or below then after i linked there i deleted my WB account so that it would reset my Steam Game progress, next is just open your Main steam Account there you can now change your age. keep in mind you have to create a new WB acount afterthat.

You should try Shaggy or Wonderwoman, they have kind of "basic" gameplay, so you get used with the different hitboxes, and then later when you are comfortable with those you can try something more dynamic

sorry no one answered your question. hitting combos consistently is just gonna come with time. lab is a good resource and using it is helpful. you should learn some characters bnbs, like stripes optimal jab combos. if you want, watch void's new video on stripe; he goes over some good ones.
and if im being honest, play who you want. im playing stripe because hes fun and has relatively smooth gameplay. he teaches you not to button mash as some of his attacks have attack decay and/or endlag.
