I can’t believe such a game could amass such a community and then just completely fall apart. I personally bought every single character and really enjoyed the game for what it was—the fact that the game is just gone with no hopes of ever returning is really disheartening and truth be told has almost entirely pushed me towards single player gaming. Gaming was once a medium that sought to appeal to gamers but it has very steadily become about shareholder interests and it feels like live service games have taken the industry by the throat despite very few games actually able to succeed with that business model. Too much development gets put into cosmetics and creating maximum profitability and it makes me wonder if there truly is any form of escape left anymore—it feels as though the declining economy and increase of blatant corporate greed has bled into every faucet of our lives, even our escapes from life such as video games. This game had every IP I loved wrapped into one package… my earliest memories are watching the Iron Giant and Scooby Doo—Adventure Time was my obsession for all of Elementary School, and DC comics had always been a staple… hell, there was even talks of Ben 10 coming to the game which was a show I literally grew up on with posters and toy omitrix’s to boot. This game was a massive failure and it hurts because there was likely many who worked on the project who truly loved it, and for someone who saw so much potential in what it had to offer and for a time it basically being the only true competitor to Smash Brothers, I am very disappointed in what it is now. I can’t bring myself to play offline only because I spent hours practicing online and getting good at PVP, the bots are soulless and all the excitement is just gone.

That is absolute cap lmao… the games have narrative depth that is only rivaled by award winning television… the attention to detail in stuff from each and every NPC having names and relationships, the towns are mostly alive and you can spend hours just dicking around in a single town… the first game has some repetitive mechanics as the game literally came out in 2010 but there are games that came out in the last 3 years with less detail. The first game in particular has challenges with rewards such as weapons and clothing while the second game is one of the most packed games content wise to ever exist… I seriously doubt you have seen every single piece of each of the games as I haven’t and I have played them both numerous times finding new ways to play, Easter eggs, and details I previously didn’t notice. Saying the game is overrated is quite literally just trying to be different… to have a picture of John Marston as your profile picture and saying the games are overrated is hilarious. Overrated insinuates the game isn’t as good as people say but arguably most people do not have the attention to the detail or media literacy to grasp 70% of what is in the games.
