Wasn’t profitable for WB so they shut it down. It lost a ton of players over the course of its life. Still had a bit of a cult following but it wasn’t enough.

Multiversus, a Platform Fighting Game in the vain of Super Smash Bros, was a massive hit back in its beta, in 2022. But it closed shortly after, with the promise that it’d return someday soon. Unfortunately, that day was an entire year later. It included many changes to its high speed, and good physics. It also included three new characters. The Joker, Banana Guard, and Jason Voorhees. It rereleased to monumental success. But due to the previously mentioned changes, players quickly left. It was too late for a resurgence, and nobody cared anymore.

There was the Closed Alpha you had to send a email to get access, then there was the Open Beta which was Public. Season 1 was the 1.0 full release. I doubt WB is going to give this game another chance.

The game was getting faster Imo the game (aside from balance) was 1 to 2 seasons away from being playable

Obviously the leadership at PFG was poor

Towards the end of MVS Nakat basically said everything wrong with the game yet he didn't have the influence to influence the devs apparently because they clearly weren't listening enough
