mvs infinite's twitter has so far seemingly done nothing but make interaction bait slop tweets and make forms to get more programmers into the team, and since i've heard that the devs that started it don't actually know anything about even modding the game and basically went like "oh we're making a new project! btw does anyone know how to code" i don't have any faith in it. from the looks of it, it's probably gonna get so many devs that it's gonna run into some huge drama in a few months that'll get it cancelled.

Even during the beta, people were wishing for the game to fail because apparently Smash is the only crossover fighter that's allowed to exist to them.

But also, even as a defender of this game, I see some of the massive flaws in it.

Especially how wildly unbalanced the characters.

You can tell they also didn't put any effort in any of the characters that WEREN'T under the DC or Looney Tunes banner.

Oh I face that all the time, especially now against Aquaman or Marceline players because it doesn't require any effort to use them.

They both have weapons(The Trident and the Ax Guitar), both have cheese moves that can keep you away while racking up damage and both have neutral attacks that involve their weapons that people spam.

It's why I also hate fighting Nubia players.

The characters are unbalanced, PFG knew that and saw the complaints and did absolutely nothing but nerf every character that DIDN'T need a nerf.

I used to main Steven because he had one of the best kits. Even YouTubers liked him.

But guess what? PFG nerfed him to Hell while characters like Joker got massive buffs that they didn't need.

Sorry, but as someone who defended this game faithfully since it came out, I have to say it:

Balance has been all over the place. I just generally appreciated how top tiers at least got rotated over time as they got nerfed and new characters rose to the top or got buffed. Absolute balance is hard to achieve. Iron giant was in a fair place last season now he is uber bottom tier. Stinks when stuff like that happens

I disagree about lack of effort into characters that werent DC or looney tunes. Beetlejuice, Jason, Tom & Jerry, and Iron Giant have tons of effort/attention put into their kits and they arent the only ones they are just the best examples.

I disagree that characters having weapons innately is an issue. Nubia and aqua man are decent characters but hardly oppressive. Marcelline meanwhile is probably the best character in the game but it doesn't have much to do with having a weapon so much as high priority, high knockback, low recovery, and easy kill confirms.

Id love for the game to achieve a more perfect balance but its a tall order and even then people will always disagree and say something is OP even if it isnt. Samurai Jack is a prime example of this. He hasnt been op for 3 seasons now and hes currently bottom 25% of the roster but people will still say hes nuts.

PFGs greatest downfall wasnt even balance, it was horrible monetization that strangled the game. The new player experience was awful and the process to unlock fighters became even worse than beta and then worse again when fighter road came out. People login to the game, see they only have shaggy + the 5 free week characters then just close the game

Well the weakened is conditional on his ally hitting someone he marks with a special attack. And I believe it is capped at one stack now so it is a shell of what it used to be at 5 stacks in beta or 3 stacks before they mostly removed it. Him having weakened at all is a substitute for his complete lack of kill power unless he catches people at the end of a stage or at 150% which is absurd by bruiser standards.

Having a conditional debuff wont make up for the fact that if you are at the wrong side of a stage you wont be able to kill an opponent who is at 130%

Yeah that was weird But it means that if they can give us the skins, I think there are two options: either they are saving them to give them at the end of the game or at some event or they simply did not want to put the skins and it was just a mistake
