Like, a bit part of my enjoyment for the game was I was in a prime position. I had all the characters and easy access to the newest ones.

I got ppg, for cheap fighter currency I ground up basically by accident. Turns out they arent a character I prefer to play, but I still maxed out the battle pass to get the Rowdyruffs skin because when I did play them, I wanted to be the RRB.

If every character we're free default, you'd have people buying skins for characters they only occasionally use as well, since, hey, I really like this skin, I want it for the times when I play this character.

If I could only name one thing that killed this game, and there were many, it would be the fact that Characters were gated. Everyone should have been unlocked from the word go, each new character free at start of season.

I think for me the moment I saw the writing on the wall was midway through season 1 when I realized how horrible progressing the battle pass was.

The only updates we got during that time was them instantly nerfing characters a few days after their release so I got into the habit of not even bothering to get excited to try a new character.
