Honestly shielding while it isn't perfect, did make a lot of obnoxious playstyles and characters way more manageable, so I think fixing a couple of the game's problems with it is a lot better than just removing it.

I don't get it, so considering what we have isn't working, the solution is to change things radically back to what we already proved doesn't work either(????) It just seems pointless lol. It doesn't adress any issues. It pleases what is most likely a loud minority and could easily displease the rest of players. Bear in mind, the game is balanced around a whole different speed build, and the implications of such a radical change would be huge. That's just not a good idea dude lol

Also, MVS also borrowed the infinite walljump and lack of ledge, which completely redefines it's offstage, and they nerfed it several times to avoid camping issues.
