Marceline's down special is a prime example of these guys don't know how to design a fighting game. It's basically k rool's down smash, but instead of it having a lot of startup before the hitbox comes out, while still having plenty of advantages like him being invulnerable from blow but vulnerable from the top, she just has a hitbox throughout the entire attack that also is disjointed and pulls you in, and getting love tapped by ANY of the hitboxes pretty much confirms it that you will now die at seventy vertically, so that means it's not dependent on stage positioning like K Rool's down smash. Oh well, at least it's punishable because it has actual endlag, unlike like literally every other one of her moves.
