Yeah, I think end lag/whiff would make the biggest difference. The current issue is that because side special moves shaggy a decent amount, its almost impossible to close the gap in time and punish unless you dodge with it or just happened to be close to where shaggy ends up.

That’s the issue, by the time your dodge has ended and you get the dash attack off, shaggy can already react. You can only reliably challenge it with a jump.
