oh yeah the swing kick one if it hits you in the sweet spot it can launch you to the blastzone pretty easy, i think that knockback needs to be adjusted but sometimes that doesn´t kill so idk how to feel about it, also its the same with the bomb but that kills easy at 100% everytime
but yeah, beetle is like a Joker case where you can only pray to win the match if he hits you with 4 moves, and also the angry bugs perk is one of the stronghest perks personally because it can hit you 2 times and can break through shields

Do you think that nerfing dodge to make it more movement focused and less about damage-evasion would make players more aggressive?

and/or make it so when youre burnt out you lose the option to even dodge. it's hard to punish people for being burnt out because they can still do the dodge movement so they evade your attacks but they just dont get the actual dodge

i just played a match where the shaggy was burnt out practically the entire game but since shaggy has HORRIBLE hurtbox's and hes able to still move around liek crazy i couldnt punish him for it one time

It’s really just a reflection of the poor game state with certain characters like Rick joker black Adam all getting unfair advantage states during their combos

Jack especially struggles when getting combo’d bc his hurtbox is big and a lot of his aerial moves are not good for challenging follow ups when going against super big hitboxes

Honestly Jack should feel more combo oriented than he really is, but he feels more like a Ganondorf who just wants to punish and predict

Jack is all 50/50’s no true combos and only has good knock back on super commit-able moves meaning you miss you 99% get punished for it

Like Jack cannot counter Joker Cards reliably at all. It's super rough for him

Bc with shadow step you only get armor for 1 hit so if joker hits you with his 3 card projectile you get hit before you can tp to the opponent

His 1 card attack also hits twice. Once for 1 damage to break the armor and once for the explosion

Plus all the cards have different travel speeds making the timing for the counter inconsistent for jack

Shadow step is good only for certain matchups like t&j Lebron gizmo Rick and Marvin

Other matchups they either don’t use projectiles or have projectiles that travel too fast to reliably counter all the time

Rivers flurry is unnecessary imo his down special is more powerful fully charged without it and he has other ways to apply weakened like with last stand or focused side b or Air down b

Gotta say though... I think Jack needs to have better combo ability wtih Neutral Air. It's too unreliable. If it had a little more hit stun to link together a little better for like 1 or 2 more attacks it'd be nice

I think his neutral air is fine it does a good job during his mix up with jab jab up air. What they need to fix is the stupid priority system that lets you get hit from behind when your opponent whiffs and you jab to punish
