Also, side special is only really effective at a small range unless he has ammo which has to be replenished by hitting normals, and it's unsafe as hell on whiff.

It's just far more versitile since they're still stunned for long enough to do whatever it is that you'd need FP for but they get tossed towards you also default isn't affected by the incapacitated nerf while FP holds them for less time the more they get hit by it

I think the signature perk isnt as affected by the grab nerf as you think in 1’s. The nerf only applies to spamming grabs and i think his only other grab is nair which you’ll never spam? And clone goes on cooldown so you cant spam that either. Also, this perk almost always forces a ground bounce, so even if they mash out, you got plenty of time to time your punish properly. It’s basically guaranteed. But 100% it’s a good move with or without the perk

Maybe there’s something I’m missing but default doesn’t feel “better”. Default is definitely “enough” cuz you can just have a good combo game and combo off of it. Freeze is just crazy
