It does feel weird, but what else would happen? It'd look weird if you got teleported to where you got hit on your arm (plus if that was the case then you'd have that issue in reverse if someone hit your arm when you try to hit someone off stage), and if Jake's limbs became disjointed he'd be so gross to play against (not necessarily busted, but not fun, especially for new or mid level players)

The same thing happens to piranha plant in smash

I feel like it should cancel the attack, and stun him for a sec, or maybe knock him towards where he punched to it’s not immediately busted

As for his up air and up smash, I’d rebalance them a bit differently

But think of how that mechanic would work in neutral. That's legitimately such a nerf to Jake if you did that, versus just having to be aware if you're trying to swing while offstage

Up air I’d revert to a disjoint, it’s really not busted enough(not even a true combo above like 40) to where I feel the risk is worth it, and for the up smash with the axe, I’d change it so the axe can’t be hit while in motion, but can while it’s charging

Alternatively if they kept things the exact same, but gave Jake the means to apply armor in solos like he can in doubles, it could make him completely singles viable, right now he’s especially bad in singles

In my mind the goal with my proposed changes is to give Jake better matchups against swordies or characters with big disjoints

Up B Is a bit busted when it works out, it can kill at like 15 if you hit it right/ I think it could use a moderate nerf, maybe more end lag to make it harder to combo out of

Down air needs to be fixed too, it’s not really usable in its current state

Same with N-smash tbh, it’s just never really the best option in any situation

I’d say more range, about as much as up smash at full charge could make it work a lot better and see more use

Either that or make it faster tbh

I will give you some tips. Neutral special is a reliable quickish attack, when you do two hits on your side attack you can then do side special for a almost guaranteed hit, and play Jason patiently, wait to punish after the opponent dodges or misses an attack

and everyone says banana guard is a spammer, this shagee did nothing but spam neutral air for 5 games to land his 69% combo, it didnt feel like skill, it felt like he was following a list a buttons i couldnt dodge through the entire experience and just had to accept i was gonna be on top of the screen where he would try to kill me with another move and i had to try and avoid it or accept im dead, no variaton no change, it was always the same combo, some times it started with a side attack sometimes with neutral air, but i either way i just had to sit there and wait to be on top of the blast zone to have a chance to move, i feel this game is becoming the spam your move to land your combo game and i dont understand how people can complain about BG when he at least lets you play the game

I noticed the Multiversus wiki is honestly kinda “unprofessional”. I’ve got some experience with wikis and I really wanna be able to autistically soyjak over all the variants, badges, perks etc and wikis are perfect for that, so I’m gonna start overhauling a lot of the pages slowly if anyone would like to join me
