I think that's my issue with Jack, it really doesn't offer much variety with his jab outside of the last hit outside of ending it with up or down tilt, the former can be canceled into other moves but doesn't connect a lot of the time, and doing down tilt doesn't offer anything over jab 3.

How I'd fix Multiversus:
You have two ways to play the game. Free to play, or pay 30-40 dollars for the premium version. The free version is basically how it already is right now, the only difference is that coins are back and replace the fighter currency/ fighter road, and it works basically the same, 1-3k to unlock a fighter, and you got the same amount of gold as you did during the beta. However, if you spend 30-40, all characters are unlocked including future ones instantly, the battle passes are also always free, and all cosmetics are permanently half off (which sounds extreme, but 8-20 bucks for a skin is pretty crazy), which is basically what rivals 2 is. The game still being able to be free to play will still be alluring to newcomers, but the monetization being more consumer friendly won't drive people away, and if they keep updating it with new content it won't drop like the beta did. I'm not a game designer though so IDK.

You know what I think should be done to improve the game?

MultiVersus needs a Single Player mode. I mean, it always has a mode that SHOULD be available offline with the Rifts since you fight against bots in that one.

I know Online Games are all the rage, but being Online Only is a good way to kill a game once players lose interest and servers are shut down.

When Crystal Dynamics tried their Live Service Avengers game, it at least had a Single Player story mode. AND when support for the game finally did end, the game didn't die.

All the Cosmetics that players hadn't bought yet were all made available, and players could still play the story mode.

In Short: MultiVersus NEEDS to have a single player mode. That way, should the worst happen and it's service ends players that still like playing the game still can.

Regarding Fighter Road...

When it was first implemented, I barely got much use out of it as I only had two fighters left to unlock (Velma and Marvin)

I suppose it was useful on saving me Gleamium, but now it's just an extra screen that I skip over with Fighter Road points only serving to level up the Battle Pass faster.

Soo...I guess I can't complain about it too much. Though I do feel for new players who have issues with it.

the shield mechanic by far is the worst thing i've ever seen in this game over the years and the constant reworking of the game mechanics itself just makes the game unplayable to people who dont sit at home and eat the game out

yall add these new characters every 4 months and they drop either extremely busted or super underwhelming, devs obviously have their fav characters seeing how certain characters dont get touched (nerfed) after mountains of complaints from the community.

on top of all these things what really is the icing on the cake is the fact the game doesn't even work as intended. so many character abilities either doesn't work at all or doesnt work when you need it to the most, so many times have i've seen abilites like garnet just not work or shield break attacks not break shields like yall arent even keeping true to the rules of your own game, perks, char abilities, combos dropping, inaccurate hit boxes, etc all of these things need to be looked at. just play your own game for a day and you'll see what i mean...

Make Shields a perk, that give back the normal parry for those who like regular input for it. Make all new characters free, while focusing more on selling cosmetics to make money, and bringing down the prices of skins by 50%. Bring down the fighter road experience needed to get the character people want from 15k to 5k.

I’m looking forward to the new rift. Especially for that new Jason skin. Now I understand people may say that the update may make things buggy or something like that. But me personally I don’t mind the bugs at all. I just simply ignore them and continue playing. Unless the bug is big.

And I’ve been having fun with this game, lag and no lag, bugs and no bugs at all.

Winning or losing doesn’t really matter to me in pvp matches, as long as I’m having fun.

probably not but there are people out there that will go to crazy lengths like that. I know people who have spent over a year trolling lobbies in the starcraft 2 arcade. Even going so far as to create numerous alt accounts and have them all joining lobbies. Most recently they've found a way to create a lobby that somehow lets them use admin commands the dev put in to essentially cheat and control the match to their hearts content.
