Garnet is decent if experienced but the fact she was nerfed and has like one armor move and the fact to get piercing you need to dance for a year makes her struggle in 1v1s but there is a chance unless you run into experienced Wonder woman and super man

To be clear, I've only really played 2s. Our strategy when we see Jason has devolved to just ignore his teammate and jump Jason, and generally laugh the whole time while absolutely brutalizing him. It feels like it doesn't even matter how good his teammate is; Jason is just impossible to defend and we win for absolute free.

IMO the best approach to losing is to accept it is your fault but use it as an opportunity to learn. Stuff like "I kept going for down air approaches in neutral and getting anti-aired; I need to rethink how I approach a good Finn player in neutral" is constructive whereas "I lost because I suck" isn't.

I agree. Whenever I lose I never just say "I suck at this game" or "this guy was way better than me". In every match I'm like "I probably shouldn't have done that" so I recognize that if I do lose, it was likely my fault because in hindsight something could've have been different which may have turned the tides in the moment. That's why its better to learn from my mistakes than discard my losses.

I don't think its good to value yourself depending on whether you win or lose. You're never going to be on the top of your game in every match, and you never know - the guy who 3 stocked you probably had the most disheartening losing streak just moments ago lol. Like I said, try to have fun, maybe learn a thing or two about every character you play against, winning isn't everything (nor is it the only thing that matters)

Even after a bad loss, the nice thing about this game's online is it's usually not long until you get to play a Shaggy or Banana Guard who just mashes side-B wildly praying their opponent just isn't paying attention. You'll get your easy win to balance things out soon enough.

My experience with people rematching is that most players will rematch quickly if they win and will not rematch if they lose. I guess for people farming the event it makes sense as it's more practical to try to seek out people you can beat easily if you just want event points...

I guess I'd put it this way. Let's say we have a 2s match: WW + Harley vs Reindog + Jake. Obviously the former team is a lot higher tiered and more dangerous, but I think there's a ton of room for the second team to just outplay the first team and win anyway.

It's just not an imbalanced enough game that you can look at your team being better, apply some basic formula to crush the helpless low tiers, and win without trying.

Yep, when it comes to hid projectiles and lock on however at the same time he has very fluid and quick melee attacks. So you gotta combine those two aspects.

Banana guard is number 1. He's disgusting right now and you don't need any skill. Gismo makes me want to hurt people especially since I'm a garnet main. Bugs is a menace to society especially with the up bat but is managable.Superman is flat out irritating especially because he has armor and piercing and grabs that cancels out armor. An obligatory spot here for wonder woman until one of her armor moves no longer has armor or they lessen her knock back.

Finn players: don’t just spam your charge attacks, a good player will dodge, cross-up, or parry and punish you to big effect.

A character like Batman with a glide can easily clear your charging neutral or down attack and punish with a charged attack of his own

I closed the client and launched it again and mine was there. It doesn't auto-award you like other games... where just loging in, you receive an alert and rewards. You have to manually go into Events and receive it.

I feel the Devs are doing a great job to push MVS forward in a direction we all want to see. The Devs were involved and active in the Online Tournament the prior weekend. The team helped setup rules to navigate Iron Giant's broken state and obversed a lot of bugs. (At least until they could get to work on him.)

We received the last patch which touched on almost every character. The majority of the Patch Notes were rebalancing. (While I personally am sad that Finn has no Knock Back potential and Banana Guard still has too much... grrr... the team is showing their willingness to tweak... including 1v1 focused tweaks.)

I personally think signs are looking good. I think we just need to wait a good half a year for everyone to be happy.

Besides MultiVersus launching as close to Day 1 on Switch 2 (hope Devs are on that) should make a HUGE impact on the casual Smash scenes. Especially after Nickolodean flucked over their player base by slapping a 2 on the patch updates and charging for a second game just to get the fixed version.

Yeah, the monetization needs work IMMEDIATELY. I see many are upset over this more than anything else. I hope they let up a little on the aggressive monetization. I would like to point out. I spend money in the Store upgrading some of them to reach this point. The progression track earning a tiny bit of Equip Gem with the Daily win rewards (after completing all the Stars) is next to nothing at all.

It does not seem possible for a Player in any reasonable timeframe without spending Gleamium in the Store on upgrades to reach Equip Gem Lv. 9+. This all leaves me thinking:

1:) How will this all work in the long term? Will new Rifts start at Equip Gem Lv. 6+ for their Easy difficulties? Will need Gem types added every few months for earning Stars which require a lot of weak hits (aka do X ten times.) or are will Player First Games try something sleezy like reseting Equip Levels back to 0 every season.

2:) Since the grind is proving that at this rate it could be months for me to reach Lv. 9+ Equip Games without investing more Gleamium (aka real money), how are we supposed to unlock Agent Smith early? Is that a lie? Is Loonetic level impossible without spending Gleamium on Equip Gem level-ups??

There's 5 Difficulty types for Rifts but each Rift has only 4 Difficulties assigned to it. If you look at the description, you can see which is skipped. (Unfortunately, PFG isn't applying a Greyed out effect or anything to make it obviously which Difficulty is skipped on each Rift.)

You are actually both wrong. It's about 250-500 since a win gives 10 and a loss gives 5. On average it would take about 334 games but it can take more/less depending on your winrate.
