its more prevalent in smash, your dodges usually work really well here, so better rely on your ability to dodge, than on janky mechanics

• make his basic jab combo advance forward and able to be turned around should the opponent dodge
• let him walk around at FULL SPEED with fully charged smash attacks that he can choose to dodge cancel should he change his mind (commitment is for loser)
• have a shop system that can be totally neglected because he's already fast
• have a reliable kill move that's nigh unpunishable (because this game has no shielding) that scales to the amount of money you have (which you'll have a lot of since finn doesn't have to actually use the shop)
• have a throwable gem to teleport to to absolutely trivialise recovery attempts (he doesn't even do anything like this in the tv show???)
• an up smash that is unpunishable on whiff because he jumps in the air doing it
• fantastic air mobility to boot

seriously if Finn should be allowed to walk around with smash attacks he should be at a seriously decreased speed

To be honest, Jake is more of an edge Guardian than damage dealer, basically nearly his whole gameplay is about pushing the opponent off and not making him come back, in 2vs2 he could also be used as support but you never see Jake doing some insane damage like iron giant

Ay here’s the thing I can’t do that using Finn since the hit boxes suck right now like half the time I’ll hit somebody with a charged sword attack and it’ll go straight through them when there using moves that don’t have I frames.
