I think that not a problem anymore. Many even have sensors to see if you are still in front of them, if not, they shutdown. Some shut down after a certain time if the picture never changed. Also powersettings exist. Its not hard to set it up to not having to worry. However, the problem isnt as bad anymore on new models from what i heard.
