This had the worst traffic I have ever seen in any F1 Manager qualifying session, not a single driver was safe from the horrendous impeding.
Lap 4: Still 9th and 10th, this really is the trend now, huh?
Lap 10: Interesting to note, Kubica is 3rd for BMW Sauber
Alonso has a mechanical problem
Lap 14: Ferrari 1-2 already, Massa leads though
Lap 15: Albers had a huge spin, need to pit earlier than planned
So bad in fact that his tire popped
Lap 17: Sutil in, and another goddamn pit stop issue, this is not even funny anymore
Lap 21: They need to pit, but it's currently a BMW Sauber 1-2, cherish it while it lasts
Lap 27: 11th and 18th, effectively over this race
Lap 36: Raikkonen might try to go the end, but Massa has just pit for new tires
Lap 39: We pit again, doesn't make any difference though
Lap 45: Gap between the Ferraris is 5.3, might go down to the wire here
Lap 47: Massa lapped 1.5 seconds faster than Raikkonen, gap is 2.1, it's definitely game on
Lap 49: Massa takes the lead, but the tire advatange is slipping away, it's not over yet
Lap 50: Alonso has to park, terminal fault

Massa wins 2nd race of the season
Kubica gets 1st podium of the season
Toyota overtake Toro Rosso for 9th in the constructors standings
Got a regulation change to reduce the finances of the top 3 teams and increase it for teams 6th and lower. Everyone voted for it except the top 3 teams in the championship. Most realistic regulation vote I've had.
While I debate my team for 2007, which season after 2007?

We missed Q3 by a massive 15 thousandths... Yeah
Lap 1: Sutil jumped Albers off the line, as a team the positions are unchanged
Lap 3: We cleared Wurz up to 10-11th, but it might have been a little too late to get up to more
Lap 5: Yeah already 4.5 behind Coulthard, this strategy better work
Lap 7: Fisichella locked up, we might get within range for 9th and 10th
Lap 9: Nevermind, gap is increasing
Lap 11: Your expected top 4, Hamilton on the back foot from pole though, Alonso leads Massa
Lap 14: We now have Webber for company
Lap 19: I don't know how, but we are still 9th and 10th, Webber still behind in 11th
Lap 20: Sutil pits, first of 2 stops
Albers in next lap
Lap 21: I f*cked up badly and forgot to call Albers in, so next lap
Lap 22: Albers actually in this time, no issues
Lap 36: Been quiet since our stops, everyone has now pitted at this point, 10th and 11th
Lap 42: Alonso leads Massa still, Raikkonen 3.6 behind
Lap 43: Sutil in again, Albers in next lap, for real this time
Lap 44: Albers in, no pit stop issues all race, that's a good omen
Lap 46: 28 seconds behind Webber in 10th, so best to do what any backmarker team does at that point and accept our fate yet again
Lap 56: Three way fight between Raikkonen, Alonso, and Massa for the win now
Lap 61: Yeah it's over, for everyone in the field

🇭🇺 Hungary 2007:
So for this race, we have no sidepods or front wings of the best spec, so we are forced to run the older components. Upgrades are on the way for after the summer break, thank god, so we should have plenty by then.
Anyway

How?
Early rain, even better
Lap 3: 16th and 10th, one of the starts of all time, especially from Albers
Lap 6: First drops of rain starting
Lap 7: 12th and 11th, asserting our usual position area of around 9th-12th at this point
Lap 12: It has begun, the rain has decided to pour down now
Pitted for inters, we could've jumped up to 9th with Albers, pit stop issue
Something is always wrong with this damn team, it's not even funny
Lap 25: Nothing has happened at this point, Massa has lead since the pit stops and we've somehow dropped 8 seconds on the next car while also 10 seconds ahead of the next car, I'm totally not frustrated and bored at the same time.
Lap 43: Pitting again, another set of inters. Timing this stop between the Ferraris and Alonso without getting lapped and losing time has been the only real challenge this entire race
Lap 45: Sutil just straight up drove into Speed as he was lapping him, as if we are already low on parts and need more crashes
I literally cannot replace the front wing
Lap 54: Sutil went off again and has been passed a Williams of Wurz... great race

Lap 1: Albers threaded the needle on Rosberg and Webber into turn 1, Sutil also getting up a place, 11th and 9th for the moment
Lap 7: Down to 12th and 13th? How are we losing so much time?
Lap 19: We pit, first of 3 stops this race
Lap 26: 12th and 16th? I cannot understand how we are still going backwards.
Raikkonen, Kubica, and Kovalainen have major mechanical problems, we need to be in at least 11th if all 3 of them retire for a point.
So we have to move, like, now
Lap 31: We pit again, second of three stops
Lap 44: We pit again, last time
Lap 53: Finally, forward motion, Sutil gaining on Kubica and Rosberg
Race:

Winner: Felipe Massa
Spyker: Adrian P10, Christijan P13
Main Highlights:
Massa wins 4th race of the season
Raikkonen has disastrous race in 5th and behind Massa again, potential late season title battle here?
So about the cars ahead that did get faults, Kovalainen and someone else ahead had the terminal failure icon on the timing tower. But all of them were on parts that didn't need retiring. Even when potential retirements could put us into the points, they don't even need to retire, typical luck.

I would've rather started 11th and 13th to be honest, because now we start on the opposite side of the grid where the front of that side of the grid (2nd) has no slipstream, so everyone else in that side gets stuck behind them and allows the other side of the grid to get a few places.
Lap 1: Well looks like both drivers took that to mind and went up a few places by switching lanes
Lap 2: 8th and 11th, all we do now is stay intact of the cars ahead
Lap 11: 10th and 12th, although Sutil is in a train up to 7th
Lap 12: Kubica takes the lead from Alonso! Huge for BMW Sauber
And Coulthard up to 2nd, the midfielders are really having fun today
Lap 13: THE CHIN MAN LEADS, Red Bull lead a race for the first time
Lap 14: Kubica re-takes the lead
Meanwhile a little further down, Sutil up to 9th, 1 place from a point now
Lap 15: Raikkonen passes and drops Kubica and Coulthard, at least they're still on the podium, for now at least
Sutil up to 8th, into the points!
Lap 22: Down to 10th with Sutil, and we pit both cars
Lap 25: Massa has a major problem, already it's costing him valuable points
Lap 26: I'm pitting again this race, but Sutil is currently 6th, highest we've been since Monaco
Lap 27: Alonso leads from Raikkonen and Hamilton
Lap 30: I have an idea:
When Sutil pits, he has 21 second gap to Albers, so Albers can hold up the cars behind him so Sutil gets some free air out of the pits and is able to catch back up to the points.
Lap 35: It's working so far, Sutil now has 25 seconds to Albers and the cars behind him, we might pull this off you know.
Lap 38: Albers pits, Sutil in next lap because I misjudged the distance
Lap 40: Sutil exits 12th, now to use these new tires to our advantage
Lap 42: Up to 11th past Button
Lap 44: Sutil is lapping 3 seconds faster than Heidfeld in 10th, if it's the same for other cars, we might just about get a point here.
Lap 46: Up to 10th, only Fisichella and Massa remain, they have mechanical problems so this is actually possible.
Meanwhile, Alonso and Raikkonen are dueling for the lead at this point. Kubica, Hamilton, and Coulthard do battle for the final place on the podium
Lap 50: Sutil up to 9th, just Massa left
Lap 51: 8TH PLACE, AN POINT!!!!
Race:

Winner: Kimi Raikkonen
Spyker: Adrian P8, Christijan P13
Main Highlights:
Raikkonen wins 8th race of the season
Kubica gets 2nd podium of the season
Coulthard gets best finish of the season with 4th
Sutil scores first point of the season
Disaster race for Massa, only a lowly 9th
If Albers didn't manage to hold up the cars behind him in the middle of the race, Sutil would have gotten more traffic late on in the race, so he played his part very well in securing this point.

Rain affected qualifying and race. In fact, the race starts damp but is going to full wet early on, interested to see who picks what.
Lap 1: We've got people ahead of us starting on full wets, it's not even getting wetter yet
We're 5th and 9th, huge
Lap 3: VSC (yes I know it didn't exist back then but we work with we what we have) and the track is getting wetter, I think it's time to gamble on it getting wet enough for full wets.
Lap 4: VSC ending
Lap 5: Raikkonen pits for full wets, and Sutil is ahead?!?!? Could this actually work?
Lap 6: Full wet conditions, 3 cars ahead have to pit and Sutil is in 6th. We might actually run in a podium position for a lap at least.
Nevermind, Raikkonen got through with a brave move at Pouhon, which is average Raikkonen stuff if I'm honest.
Lap 8: Everyone ahead pit, Sutil is 5th, and Robert Kubica leads the Belgian Grand Prix with a 4 second lead to Alonso
Lap 9: Alonso has a car problem, should give Kubica a bit of breathing room at least
Lap 10: Quick mention that Heidfeld and Massa have to pit again because they started on wets in the damp, so Albers will get promoted to 8th if he keeps Hamilton of all people behind him. We might have a chance of double points.
Lap 12: He could not, 11th at the moment
Lap 13: He could keep up, BUT AN ACCIDENT HAS OCCURED DURING A RE-OVERTAKING ATTEMPT!!
Chassis, rear wing, and suspension damage, it's pretty much over for Albers
Lap 15: And Sutil lost a place because of locking up, come on guys, we have a good points chance here, don't throw it all away!
Lap 17: 6 mm of track water now, Sutil is defending from Massa for 6th
Kubica still leads Alonso and Raikkonen
Lap 20: Rain level is decreasing rapidly, could be damp for a bit, I love this sort of condition, the tire wear advantage I get is enormous.
Lap 22: Massa pits, back up to 6th with Sutil
Lap 30: It's been damp for a bit, I gambled on staying out until it rains harder again, the wets are still in ok-ish condition, but I am considering another stop.
Raikkonen took the lead from Kubica
Lap 32: Safety car, this is going to be an under 10 lap sprint to the finish
Oop, my game crashed, quite rare occasion, have to go back to lap 32 from lap 39
Lap 41: Sutil up to 7th
Wait Kovalainen is 2nd? Where did he come from?
Lap 43: Nevermind, Kubica and Webber got him back
Final lap: Puncture for Massa! More valuable points cost for him!

Kimi Raikkonen wraps up 2007 Drivers Title in Belgium
After the pain of 2003 and 2005, Kimi 'Iceman' Raikkonen put those demons to rest in sensational fashion by winning 9 of the 14 grand prix run so far this season and wraps up the drivers title with 3 entire races left. Truly the season of a champion, and it has been rewarded for sure.

Might have time to do the final 3 races before qualifying starts in an hour and a half
Raining all the way through
Lap 3: No changes to where we started, yet
Lap 8: Up to 9th and 10th, lost a lot of time behind Rosberg though
Safety car, Schumacher and Wurz out
Now I'm going to do something particularly bold and stay out, I don't think 2 stops will be more effective to the end
Lap 10: Looks like I'm not alone in making that call, both Ferraris, Renaults, Rosberg, Webber, and Button have done the same
Lap 12: Safety car in this lap, restarting 6th and 9th
Lap 13: Rosberg almost locked up into Sutil, mere millimeters away from disaster.
Lap 15: Down to 7th and 9th
Now to the fringes of the points, the cars that pit are just too strong for now
Lap 18: Teamwork 100
Sutil 8th, Albers 9th
Lap 20: It apparently went to dry and then went back to damp in the space of 10 seconds
Fisichella pits, up to double points in 7th and 8th
Lap 23: Another piece of teamwork going on over at Ferrari as well, Massa keeping the McLarens at bay for Raikkonen
Lap 24: Kovalainen pits, 6th and 7th for the moment
Lap 26: I don't know what it is, but Albers inexplicably backed up 2 seconds to Coulthard. Didn't change any settings or anything, just gap
We pit, so that's probably an explanation
Lap 29: We lost a heap of time in traffic, even using resources didn't work
Now have Webber behind Sutil. We are 11th and 13th, a few cars ahead need to pit though
Lap 31: Coulthard also has a problem, might get him back at the stops
Lap 33: Crucial moment, Sutil cleared Truilli, no more traffic now
Lap 36: Heidfeld pits, Sutil up to 8th and into a position for 1 point
The gap between the two is 6 seconds, I swear to god if Heidfeld denies us points again...
Lap 38: Before I could have even thought about using Albers to hold up Heidfeld, he got overtaken
Only thing left to hope for is that Webber manages to keep the BMW Sauber behind while in Sutil's slipstream
Lap 39: Well Webber dropped out of the slipstream and Heidfeld is through, we're cooked lads
Lap 41: It's over, no points yet again

We brought one final upgrade but it's not working so far. But if there's one thing I know about Brazil races, it's that the weather wildly fluctuates throughout the race, and that's exactly what the weather prediction says.
If things go our way, we can make up a few places in this changeable weather
Both McLarens take pit lane starts, we start 12th and 18th
Lap 5: Full wet conditions now, we have the best tires because of the damp start
Lap 8: Still 12th and 18th, the plan should come to fruition later on though
Lap 10: Albers spun, now last
Lap 22: Still 12th and 22nd, but people are starting to feel the tire wear, still chucking it down on track too, 5 mm at the moment
Just have to find a way past Liuzzi and then options can open up for Sutil
Lap 33: We pit for inters, should be the only stop this race
Lap 36: Albers spun again, definately over for him now
Lap 39: Alonso passes Sutil, down to 12th
Lap 49: Quick mention, both McLarens have been lapped by both Ferraris. Ouch
Lap 61: Sutil spun, definately over now for him as well
Lap 64: Rain intensifying, people already pitting for full wets

I'm actually glad this season is done. I know points are infrequent for these kinds of teams, but we had so many chances that just couldn't be taken to the end because of how limited or straight up bad the car was. It was just so frustrating to end up 9th to 11th over and over again.
I can't start 2003 for a few days, have to focus on life things. Good time for the next season's poll though.
Which season after 2003?

I can come back on the 18th, 19th, or 20th, lot of things to get done this week.

🇦🇺 Australia 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Wilson P22, Firman P21, Klein P20, Massa P19, da Matta P18, Frentzen P17
Q2 Knockouts: Verstappen P16, Villeneuve P15, Fisichella P14, Panis P13, Raikkonen P12, Heidfeld P11
Q3 Top 10: Pizzonia P10, Button P9, Truilli P8, Alonso P7, R Schumacher P6, Coulthard P5, Webber P4, Barrichello P3, Montoya P2, M Schumacher P1
Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
BAR: Jenson P9, Jacques P15
Lap 2: Both drivers making moves, Jenson P7, Jacques P12
Lap 3: Ralf is weirdly slow, Button up to 5th
Lap 5: Villeneuve up to 11th, double points are on the way, trust
Lap 7: Montoya doing the heavy lifting for Williams at the moment, he leads the Ferraris and Coulthard
Lap 9: Nevermind, Michael did Michael things and pulled 2.5 seconds
Lap 12: Villeneuve gained 2 places in 1 lap, 6th and 9th now
Lap 16: Button pitting now
Lap 17: Coulthard pits, first of the top 4 to do so
Lap 19: Villeneuve now pits, first of two stops for both drivers
After everyone's pit stops, we sit 6th and 10th
Lap 22: Nevermind, Raikkonen finally decided to wake up and go fast, down to 11th now
Lap 26: The gap between the two BARs is 10 seconds, they are 5th and 11th at the moment, that's how packed the midfield is right now.
Michael pits, 2 stopper maybe?
Lap 31: Villeneuve up to 10th, it's all coming together now
Lap 42: Looking at the tires, Montoya needs to pit again, Barrichello leads, Michael Schumacher 3rd, the latter with slightly fresher tires. Coulthard is 17 seconds behind but has very fresh tires, I think it's a straight fight between those 3.
We pit again, smooth stops for both drivers
Lap 51: Montoya pit a few laps ago, and he is absolutely flying, he's already past Coulthard. Imagine how quick he can get to the Ferraris now?
The gap is 8 seconds between the top 3
We sit 9th and 11th at the moment
Lap 55: Just 4.3 between the top 3, Montoya has Michael in his sights for 2nd
Race:
Finishing Order: Klein P22, Verstappen P21, Massa P20, Firman P19, da Matta P18, Fisichella P17, Wilson P16, Heidfeld P15, Pizzonia P14, Panis P13, Frentzen P12, Villeneuve P11, Truilli P10, Button P9, Webber P8, Raikkonen P7, Alonso P6, R Schumacher P5, Coulthard P4, Montoya P3, M Schuamcher P2, Barrichello P1
Winner: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P9, Jacques P11
Main Highlights:
Barrichello wins 1st race of the season, with Schumacher and Montoya less than a second behind him
Raikkonen comes back from 12th to take 7th
🇲🇾 Malaysia 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Firman P22, Panis P21, Klein P20, Wilson P19, Massa P18, Verstappen P17
Q2 Knockouts: Fisichella P16, Pizzonia P15, R Schumacher P14, da Matta P13, Frentzen P12, Heidfeld P11
Q3 Top 10: Webber P10, Villeneuve P9, Truilli P8, Alonso P7, Button P6, Montoya P5, Raikkonen P4, Barrichello P3, Coulthard P2, M Schumacher P1
Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
BAR: Jenson P6, Jacques P9
Lap 1: We're up to double points, 7th and 8th
Lap 6: We did bring a suspension upgrade to help with tire wear, but I still think a 3 stopper is the way to go
Lap 10: The Renaults are now using force, Jenson lost 2 places as a result
Lap 13: And we fight back, 8th and 6th led by Jacques
Lap 15: We pit both cars, first of the 3 stops. Issue with the front left for Jenson
Lap 19: Alonso is just too fast, but we are still in net double points
8th and 7th
Lap 24: Barrichello leads again? Is this a redemption arc from his 2nd driver position the previous year?
His teammate is 4.2 behind in 3rd
Lap 27: Even with fresher tires, Michael can barely gain on his teammate
Lap 28: Jenson lost a place to the Williams of Ralf Schumacher, he's now out of the points
Lap 30: Quick work of Jacques as well, we're on the fringes now
Oh, we have to pit, 2nd of the 3 stops
Lap 32: Took a while, but the Ferraris are within sight of each other, 1 second between them
Lap 34: Michael has finally taken his usual place at the very front, was a good show though.
Lap 42: So both Ferraris pit and Barrichello came out in front of Schumacher. Can he hang onto it though?
Lap 45: We pit for the last time, hopefully the fresh tires will help us get back into the points quickly.
Schumacher takes the lead once more
Lap 46: Actually, Villeneuve is still in the points, so both cars could chase down Alonso and Ralf in these closing laps
Lap 50: The gap from 1st to 2nd is now 5.5 seconds, usual Michael things to be honest
Lap 52: Villeneuve got the fastest lap, we could get 7th from Alonso by the end
Lap 53: Another fastest lap, and that was easy work of Alonso, maybe Button can get us double points here
Lap 57: Button managed to get past, double points now
Race:
Finishing Order: Klein P22, Verstappen P21, Massa P20, Firman P19, Panis P18, Wilson P17, da Matta P16, Fisichella P15, Pizzonia P14, Frentzen P13, Heidfeld P12, Webber P11, Truilli P10, Alonso P9, Button P8, Villeneuve P7, R Schumacher P6, Raikkonen P5, Montoya P4, Coulthard P3, Barrichello P2, M Schumacher P1

Jordan overtake Minardi for 9th in the constructors standings

Polesitter: Ralf Schumacher
BAR: Jenson P8, Jacques P9
The gap between the top 7 in Q3:
Little break before the race, dinner.
We back, race time
Lap 2: The Ferraris are really going at it behind the two Williams, Barrichello just ahead of Michael
Montoya takes the lead from his teammate Ralf
Lap 4: The Ferraris swap places again, not like Austria 2002 this time though
Lap 7: Meanwhile for us, we're fighting Coulthard who has some form of damage for 7th
Michael took the lead and made a 1.5 second gap. Again, just Michael things
Lap 9: The Williams' are fighting unnesscarily hard, it's grown Michael's advantage to 2 seconds, Montoya needs to get a move on to catch him
And he does exactly that, right in Michael's view now
Lap 10: Montoya re-takes the lead from Michael
Also, Ralf is so unusually slow that even the Renault of Alonso is threatening him for position, what's going on?
And he's gone through on the Williams, this is confusing pace from the polesitter
Lap 15: Same order in the top 6, Button is still fighting Coulthard for 7th, Villeneuve is fighting Truilli for 9th. Still early days here
Lap 16: Barrichello past Michael! Crucial in terms of the points
Lap 17: Red flag, Webber and Panis out
And I'm screwed again in strategy by these stupid red flag timings.
Lap 19: Barrichello restarts on pole, he took the lead from Montoya before the red flag was flown
Another break for now
Lap 22: We're back again, and we're up to 6th and 8th
Lap 24: Both drivers dropped a place each, 7th and 9th
Lap 28: The train from leader Montoya goes all the way down to 13th, it's massive
Lap 29: Barrichello took the lead, before Montoya immediately retook it, strategical overtaking happening here.
Lap 30: Barrichello lost 2 places to the Schumachers, not great in terms of the points
Lap 31: Michael past Montoya and back up to his usual spot of 1st
Lap 33: Half of the train was cut off by Alonso, so now it's just Raikkonen, Ralf, Barrichello, Montoya, and Michael as the leaders
Lap 36: Another twist in the race, Barrichello has re-overtaken his teammate Michael, both behind Montoya again
We're 8th and 9th, our f*cked strategy showing our losses
Lap 38: Barrichello has built a 2.3 second gap to the cars behind. I don't wanna jinx this, but could Rubens finally win his home race?
Lap 41: Barrichello's gap is now 3 seconds
We're 8th and 9th still, they're fighting a bit though
We pit
Lap 45: The Schumacher brothers have worked together and bit, with the help of a backmarker, they've cut Barrichello's gap down to 1.3 seconds
Lap 48: Barrichello pits first, Schumacher to try and overcut
Crucial for the home boy is that he is 2.5 ahead of Ralf
Lap 51: Apparently Raikkonen got ahead of Montoya, where'd he come from?
Speaking of, him and Michael haven't pitted yet, what's the hold up? Barrichello is only 13.4 behind his teammate already!
Lap 53: Michael finally pits, he's got a lot to do to catch his teammate though.
The gap between them is currently 11 seconds
Lap 55: Barrichello back up to 1st ahead of Raikkonen, who still hasn't pit
Lap 56: Ralf is giving his brother a bit of a headache right now, Michael can't get past at the moment!
Lap 58: It's now just Barrichello left for Michael to clear, gap is currently 7.4, 14 laps to go
Lap 61: Gap now 6.1, it's probably gonna be a close one by the end
Oh and Raikkonen pit a few laps ago putting Villeneuve to 6th, probably not gonna last though
Lap 62: He passed Truilli and Villeneuve on the same lap, predictable to be honest
Lap 65: Back to the Ferraris, the gap is now 5.8 seconds, not as much of a gain from Michael at the moment
Lap 68: 4.3 the gap now
Also, Villeneuve somehow caught Coulthard and is now up to 7th
Lap 69: 4.0, it's not over yet
Lap 70: 2.5 seconds
Lap 71: The gap stayed the same the last lap, I think that's it...
Race:
Finishing Order: Panis DNF, Webber DNF, Klein P20, Massa P19, Verstappen P18, Wilson P17, Firman P16, Fisichella P15, Pizzonia P14, da Matta P13, Frentzen P12, Heidfeld P11, Truilli P10, Button P9, Villeneuve P8, Coulthard P7, Alonso P6, Raikkonen P5, Montoya P4, R Schumacher P3, M Schumacher P2, Barrichello P1
Winner: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P9, Jacques P8
Main Highlights:
Barrichello finally wins his home race and re-takes the lead of the drivers standings from Michael Schumacher
Ralf Schumacher gets 1st podium of the season
Pre San Marino: Upgrades are going crazy, we have one of the quickest cars now
🇸🇲 San Marino 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Verstappen P22, Klein P21, Massa P20, Frentzen P19, Panis P18, Wilson P17
Q2 Knockouts: Fisichella P16, Firman P15, Heidfeld P14, Pizzonia P13, da Matta P12, Truilli P11
Q3 Top 10: Webber P10, Alonso P9, Button P8, R Schumacher P7, Villeneuve P6, Raikkonen P5, Barrichello P4, Montoya P3, M Schumacher P2, Coulthard P1
Polesitter: David Coulthard
BAR: Jenson P8, Jacques P6
The gap between 1st and 7th was exactly 2 tenths, the top 5 and nearly the top 6 had a time within 1 tenth. Incredibly close qualifying.
Lap 3: Coulthard holds the lead, Montoya and Barrichello lagging a little bit behind in 3rd and 4th, we're 5th and 6th after passing Raikkonen
Lap 4: Michael passed Coulthard, Barrichello and Montoya caught back up
Villeneuve is there in 5th, let us cook
Lap 5: Button past Raikkonen, if we could get him in the train ahead then it would be even better
Lap 7: Both cars passed both Williams, up to 4th and 6th
It is now a Ferrari 1-2 up front
Lap 9: The Ferraris have broken away, but we're up to 3rd and 5th now
Lap 11: The Ferraris fought so hard that we are back in their sights, also Button moved up to 4th
Lap 12: The Ferraris broke away again and Villeneuve lost 3 places down to 6th, not a good lap for us
Lap 13: Barrichello pulled away from Michael. If he can win again, then he really can challenge for the title, but I don't want to jinx it.
Lap 18: What's with Michael? He's been caught by the pack behind, even passed by Coulthard to 3rd. Is something wrong with the Ferrari?
Lap 20: Nevermind he went back to his teammate
Lap 24: Barrichello pulled away from Michael
Villeneuve locked up, have to pit a lap early
Button in next lap
Lap 25: Button pits
It's a two stop for both drivers, hopefully the tire advantage by the end will help
Lap 28: Coulthard pit and came out ahead? We were ahead at the pit, how did we end up behind him?
Lap 30: Michael pits, when does Barrichello react
Raikkonen and Montoya also pitted, we come out ahead of them
Lap 32: Now Barrichello pits, a bit late if you ask me though
That cost him enough time to exit behind even Coulthard
Lap 35: Barrichello made quick work of the McLaren, now to catch and re-pass his teammate
Lap 42: Ferraris back together, is this a recurring them for this season?
Lap 44: We pit, last time this race
The tire advantage should help us catch back up
Pit stop issue, every time
Lap 48: The Tifosi are getting one of the best shows of their lives, Barrichello and Schumacher really going at it for the lead of the race
Lap 53: It's not really working to be honest, we're still 22 seconds behind the next few cars
Also the Ferraris are seperated once again
Race:
Finishing Order: Panis DNF, Klein P21, Verstappen P20, Wilson P19, Massa P18, Fisichella P17, Firman P16, da Matta P15, Heidfeld P14, Pizzonia P13, Frentzen P12, Webber P11, Truilli P10, Alonso P9, Button P8, Villeneuve P7, R Schumacher P6, Raikkonen P5, Montoya P4, Coulthard P3, M Schumacher P2, Barrichello P1
Winner: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P8, Jacques P7
Main Highlights:
Barrichello wins 3rd race of the season and extends lead in the drivers standings
Coulthard gets 2nd podium of the season
BAR overtake Renault for 4th in the constructors standings
So this race showed we're not quite ready for the top positions, but we are able to fight for those positions for a bit, progress is being made
🇪🇸 Spain 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Verstappen P22, Massa P21, Firman P20, Fisichella P19, Wilson P18, Pizzonia P17
Q2 Knockouts: Klein P16, da Matta P15, Truilli P14, Panis P13, Heidfeld P12, Frentzen P11
Q3 Top 10: Webber P10, Alonso P9, Coulthard P8, Barrichello P7, Villeneuve P6, Montoya P5, M Schuamcher P4, R Schumacher P3, Button P2, Raikkonen P1
Polesitter: Kimi Raikkonen
BAR: Jenson P2, Jacques P6
Top 8 was again separated by 2 tenths, top 5 covered by less than a tenth, and Button missed pole by 15 thousandths
Now we're on the wrong side of the grid, it's the wrong side of the grid because the left side, namely 3rd and 5th, gets the slipstream from the polesitter, whereas 2nd doesn't and makes namely 4th and 6th lose out as well.
Usual 3 stop at Spain, it's worked a lot of times beforehand, hopefully it works here
Little break before the race, dinner
Lap 1: Exactly as I thought, both drivers lost a position at turn 1, 3rd and 7th
Lap 4: We've got nothing at the moment, down to 5th and 8th
Lap 5: Barrichello went on the outside of Button and Montoya into turn 1, crucial for his championship lead
Lap 13: Michael leads Raikkonen and Ralf
Lap 15: Button in this lap, Villeneuve in next lap, first of the 3 stops
Lap 17: Both drivers' first stops completed without issue
Lap 21: Michael pits, and has a gearbox problem
Lap 25: We have the Michael right behind both cars, maybe I could cause him a headache or two
Barrichello pits, Raikkonen re-takes the lead
Lap 26: Nevermind, we lost a place each
Lap 28: The top 7 is seperated by 9 seconds, anyone in it could still win at this point
Lap 33: Barrichello caught up to the Schumacher brothers, he's got quite a moving wall to clear in order to catch leader Raikkonen
Lap 38: Michael pits again, but Barrichello passed Ralf
Lap 39: We pit again, second of the 3 stops
Lap 41: Barrichello passed Raikkonen for the lead
Lap 46: Everyone around us pit a second time, we are 3rd and 6th at the moment
Lap 47: Villeneuve was pushed wide and lost 2 places
Lap 51: Schumacher's fault has worsened, Barrichello should be able to increase his lead
Lap 53: We pit again, last stops
We exit 7th and 8th, but our tires are nice and new
Lap 57: One car past Coulthard, 6th and 8th
Lap 61: Button past Coulthard, Villeneuve caught and past Montoya, 5th and 7th
Lap 62: Villeneuve on the outside of turn 4 on Michael, that gearbox fault not helping him at all. 4th and 7th now
Lap 63: Button is following suite, past Montoya and Michael, we are now 4th and 5th
Race:
Finishing Order: Panis DNF, Massa P21, Klein P20, Verstappen P19, Wilson P18, da Matta P17, Firman P16, Fisichella P15, Heidfeld P14, Pizzonia P13, Frentzen P12, Webber P11, Truilli P10, Alonso P9, Coulthard P8, Montoya P7, M Schumacher P6, Button P5, Villeneuve P4, Raikkonen P3, R Schumacher P2, Barrichello P1
Winner: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P5, Jacques P4
Main Highlights:
Barrichello wins 4th race of the season despite P7 start
Raikkonen gets 1st podium of the season
BAR get best result of the season with 4th and 5th
Unexpected Barrichello dominance in these first few races
Well, when I say 'dominance', it's in terms of wins, the highest winning margin this season so far has been 10 seconds, so these are some close races.
🇦🇹 Austria 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Klein P22, da Matta P21, Massa P20, Fisichella P19, Wilson P18, Verstappen P17
Q2 Knockouts: Firman P16, Panis P15, Truilli P14, Frentzen P13, Heidfeld P12, Pizzonia P11
Q3 Top 10: Webber P10, Alonso P9, Barrichello P8, Raikkonen P7, Coulthard P6, R Schumacher P5, Villeneuve P4, Button P3, Montoya P2, M Schumacher P1
Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
BAR: Jenson P3, Jacques P4
Lap 3: We're keeping Ferrari honest these first few laps, 2nd and 4th at the moment
Lap 6: Now we're losing ground, 3rd and 6th
Lap 9: Montoya takes the lead from Michael
Lap 21: Michael pulled away and pits this lap, Raikkonen now leads
Slow stop for the Ferrari, Montoya out ahead now
Lap 23: Montoya locks up into turn 1! Big mistake from the Williams
Lap 24: By this poimt, Raikkonen, Coulthard, and Ralf have pitted, we're coming in next lap for a 2 stop
Lap 25: We pit
Slow stop, of course
Lap 28: Michael leads, Barrichello 2nd but he is yet to pit
Lap 31: Barrichello finally pits, is it a 1 stop for the other Ferrari?
Lap 42: Button past Montoya, we are 4th and 6th at the moment
Lap 49: We pit again, strategy complete
Michael also pits
Lap 52: Button overtook Coulthard and Montoya, 5th and 8th at the moment
Lap 54: Button set the fastest lap, I think a podium might be possible with this pace
Lap 60: We overtook Barrichello, the 1 stop hasn't worked for him
Lap 63: Ralf is still also on a 1 stop, but his tires might pop soon
Lap 64: You are actually serious, as soon as I say that, a safety car comes out
Nevermind, it's a red flag
That was a suspicious crash from Firman
We restart 4th and 6th
Nevermind, we got absolutely piss poor starts, 6th and 7th
And Button pushed his own teammate off the track, nice job mate
Lap 69: Barrichello spins, we might get 4th still
Montoya leads the Schumacher brothers
Lap 70: Button was pushed wide, just lost points, great
Lap 71: I think Raikkonen was pushed wide at some point as well, he's all the way down in 15th
Race:
Finishing Order: Pizzonia DNF, Firman DNF, Klein P20, Wilson P19, Massa P18, Verstappen P17, Alonso P16, Raikkonen P15, Truilli P14, Frentzen P13, Heidfeld P12, da Matta P11, Fisichella P10, Button P9, Panis P8, Coulthard P7, Webber P6, Barrichello P5, Villeneuve P4, R Schumacher P3, M Schumacher P2, Montoya P1
Winner: Juan Pablo Montoya
BAR: Jenson P9, Jacques P4
Main Highlights:
Montoya wins 1st race of the season
Michael closes in on Barrichello in the drivers standings
Toyota and Jordan overtake Sauber for 9th in the constructors standings
🇲🇨 Monaco 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Klein P22, Verstappen P21, Massa P20, Wilson P19, Pizzonia P18, da Matta P17
Q2 Knockouts: Raikkonen P16 (Out), Firman P15, Heidfeld P14, Frentzen P13, Truilli P12, Panis P11
Q3 Top 10: Fisichella P10, Webber P9, Alonso P8, Villeneuve P7, Button P6, Coulthard P5, R Schumacher P4, Montoya P3, M Schumacher P2, Barrichello P1
Polesitter: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P6, Jacques P7
Lap 2: Button gained 1 place at the start, and this being Monaco, we are likely going to stay 5th and 7th unless the strategy works well
Lap 4: The Ferraris have already broken away, but fighting hard up front
Lap 5: Button lost a place to Coulthard, back to where we started in 6th 7th
Safety Car
We are not pitting, anyone in their right mind wouldn't pit this early for the optimal strategy, even at Monaco
Predictably, no one else does
The only changes in the points as of now are the Williams' have swapped places and Webber is 8th instead of Alonso
Lap 9: Safety car in.
Restart order for points scorers: Barrichello, M Schumacher, R Schumacher, Montoya, Coulthard, Button, Villeneuve, Webber
Lap 13: The Ferraris have run away, again, the battle between them resumes
Lap 16: Barrichello has the edge on Schumacher in terms of avaliable resources, it's all looking good so far for the championship leader
Lap 20: No fight up front now, this ought to be a boring one
Lap 27: We pit, actually going for a 2 stopper this time
Lap 35: Red flag, always at Monaco I get the worst possibly timed red flags, no other type of tire left
I don't know though, maybe it'll play out like the last season I did at Monaco
Lap 45: We gained a place each but we have to pit again due to the hastily changed strategy
Lap 46: Michael has developed a problem, not good because his brother is right behind him for 2nd
Lap 54: Michael's problem has worsened, and Ralf got past for 2nd, this is all bad news for the Ferrari
Lap 57: We pit again
We exit 8th and 10th (oh yeah forgot to mention our drivers swapped at the restart because Button got a poor start, now it's Villeneuve as the lead BAR)
Lap 71: We're up to 6th and 8th
You know, with the tire advantage we have, we might catch Michael's fault ridden car and get a podium. Tall task, but I'll try
Lap 74: We do a double whammy on McLaren, up to 5th and 7th now
Lap 75: Oh we are right there, just 2.3 seconds to Michael in 3rd, passing Montoya is crucial at this stage
Lap 77: Past Montoya, just 1 car left, I think we can do this

Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Rubens Barrichello, 62 points (Ferrari)
2nd: Michael Schumacher, 51 points (Ferrari)
We have an underfloor and a front wing upgrade, our low speed problems have been nullified a bit, but now we have to work on our weak medium speed cornering. Thankfully the upcoming race in Canada has a fair few low speed corners, so I hope they'll bring something to fruition.

56 thousandths to pole...
Lap 3: WE LEAD, BAR lead a grand prix for the first time this season. Button up 3 places to 5th as well
Lap 5: Michael had a storming lap, passing Montoya and Villeneuve in the same lap to take the lead
Lap 6: Villeneuve followed Michael through and broke away from the rest of the pack, 1997 all over again
Lap 7: Barrichello came out of nowhere to make it a 3 car battle for the lead
Lap 9: The Williams' have joined in on this fight too, everyone is sick of Ferrari dominance now
Lap 10: 4 more cars have joined the train. At this point, even the Jaguar of Webber in 10th could have a piece of the action as well
We lead again
Lap 13: Jenson has been anonymous so far, but he's been working up the order and is now in 4th
He even just passed the Ferrari of Schumacher up to 3rd, we're having our best race yet so far
Lap 14: Top 4 is separated by less than 7 tenths, it's getting tightly contested now
Lap 17: Michael broke away from the rest of the back, but we followed him, the dream isn't dying just yet
Gap is 3.2 to 3rd
Lap 22: Michael pits, likely a 2 stopper. We're also on a 2 stopper, just pitting a bit later
He got held up by an Arrows in the pits, that'll be some nice extra time for us
Lap 28: Losing so much time now, time to pit
Gap is 8.8 seconds to Michael
Lap 32: Again with the f*cking red flags, worst possible time
Restart 5th and 8th
Lap 42: We're back into the podium places, but now the Ferraris have broken away, it's already over
Lap 50: Safety car, we're pitting, what's to lose?
Only Michael pits in the cars around us other than us
Lap 54: Safety car in this lap, restart 7th and 9th, time to change our fortunes
Lap 57: Already up to 4th and 6th, maybe we can catch the podium spots
Lap 61: Up to 3rd and 5th, maybe this is possible
Lap 65: Michael ran away, but once again, we followed. We have almost nothing left in the tank, but we'll give it everything for 1st
Lap 68: We re-take the lead, now to hold onto it
Final Lap: It's time, use everything we have left and charge to the line

🇪🇺 Europe 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Verstappen P22, Klein P21, Fisichella P20, Panis P19, Wilson P18, Massa P17
Q2 Knockouts: da Matta P16, Firman P15, Pizzonia P14, Alonso P13, Frentzen P12, Webber P11
Q3 Top 10: Heidfeld P10, Truilli P9, Button P8, Villeneuve P7, M Schumacher P6, R Schumacher P5, Coulthard P4, Montoya P3, Barrichello P2, Raikkonen P1
Polesitter: Kimi Raikkonen
BAR: Jenson P8, Jacques P7
Lap 2: Barrichello takes the lead, Michael is weirdly slow so far
Lap 3: The top 2 have already built 2.5 seconds to the rest of the top contenders
We hang in 7th and 8th, for now
Lap 5: Villeneuve overtook Coulthard, crucial for our constructors battle with McLaren
Lap 7: Montoya has developed an issue
Lap 8: Michael finally got his act together and is up to 3rd
Lap 9: Safety car, the Jordans broke the golden rule of racing: Don't take out your teammate
We're changing from a 2 stop to a 3 stop as a result
Lap 10: Safety car almost instantly in.
Restart order: Raikkonen, Barrichello, M Schumacher, R Schumacher, Villeneuve, Montoya, Coulthard, Button
Lap 12: Barrichello re-takes the lead, Schumacher brothers losing time to the front two
Lap 14: We just lost ground to all of the top teams, how are we so slow all of a sudden?!
Lap 21: McLaren are now 2-3, not good
Lap 25: Montoya's fault has worsened, and Coulthard has developed a major fault of his own
Lap 26: Safety car again, Truilli out
Great for our 3 stop
Raikkonen and Montoya also pit, looks like they're going to a 3 stop as well
Lap 28: Safety car ended
We are 10th and 8th
Lap 31: A few cars pitted ahead, we are 8th and 7th
Barrichello leads a Ferrari 1-2, but Raikkonen is already only 6 seconds behind Michael, differing strategies though.
Lap 36: Raikkonen caught the two Ferraris, but is only just quicker than them now
Michael pit, so they are now likely undercutting with Barrichello as well
Lap 38: Yep, Barrichello pits, but it's slow on the left rear, not good for his battle with Raikkonen
Lap 40: Raikkonen is the last to stop in the top 3, he'll have a huge tires advantage over the Ferraris
Lap 43: We pit for our last stop, so with us out of the way, it's 3 seconds between 1st and 3rd
Michael leads Raikkonen and Barrichello
We exit 6th and 5th, but we now have an even bigger tire advantage on the cars ahead
Lap 46: Raikkonen is lapping considerably faster than Michael, can he take his first win?
Lap 52: Things have seemingly leveled off, the gap is only 2.2 seconds, anything can still happen though
Lap 53: Oh never mind, the gap somehow became less than second, game on!
Lap 54: Raikkonen takes the lead!
Lap 55: We got Ralf for 4th, best we could get out of this stint

Winner: Kimi Raikkonen
BAR: Jenson P6, Jacques P4
Main Highlights:
Raikkonen wins first F1 race
Michael closes the gap in the drivers standings to Barrichello
McLaren re-overtake BAR for 3rd in the constructors standings
This was a strange race, we fitted 2 upgrades, one which gave .027 g in high speed, yet we were absolutely nowhere. Just confusing.

🇫🇷 France 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockout: Firman P22, Wilson P21, Klein P20, Verstappen P19, Massa P18, Fisichella P17
Fun fact: Luck and mistakes played factors, but Firman's best classified time was 24 seconds off the best time in that session
Q2 Knockouts: Webber P16 (No time), Heidfeld P15, Panis P14, Frentzen P13, da Matta, P12 Truilli P11
Q3 Top 10: Pizzonia P10, Villeneuve P9, R Schumacher P8, Button P7, Alonso P6, M Schumacher P5, Montoya P4, Raikkonen P3, Barrichello P2, Coulthard P1
Poleisitter: David Coulthard
BAR: Jenson P7, Jacques P9
Ralf and Webber take pit lane starts
Lap 4: Barrichello leads, Button got past Michael. I guess it's a day for complicating things in the drivers championship
Lap 5: Montoya spins and clips the wall! Tried to attack Raikkonen but lost the Williams mid corner
He's all the way down in 13th now
Lap 6: Michael and Alonso were side by side for an entire sector, great overtake by the Spaniard.
Lap 9: Raikkonen overtook 2 cars at once, he leads another race now
And Coulthard makes it a McLaren 1-2 (Well I guess 3rd in the constructors is not an option for us now 😐)
Lap 11: Safety car, Massa out
We pit, changing the strategy pit laps
Lap 13: Safety car in, restart 11th and 12th
Lap 19: Raikkonen pits from the lead
Ferrari are weirdly off the pace so far, the gap is 4.3 from Barrichello to Coulthard in front
Lap 20: Barrichello pits, and exits 5.7 seconds behind Raikkonen, Ferrari have quite the job to do here
Lap 25: Coulthard and Michael pit
Lap 29: Barrichello starting to turn around the race, the gap is down to 2.3 seconds
Also, I've changed our strategy, gone from a 2 stop to a 3 stop after looking at the teams around us
Lap 34: Barrichello pits again, going for the undercut on Raikkonen
Lap 35: McLaren respond and pit Raikkonen, is it enough to get out ahead?
It is, but the BAR of Button is really making life difficult for the Finn
Lap 37: We pit again after bunching the net top 2 together, second of three stops
Lap 40: Ralf passed Button on old tires? I don't understand how, and I also don't understand why we don't have an answer for any of the top teams, we were fighting for podiums and wins a few races ago, now we're alone and nowhere.
Lap 44: Safety car, Fisichella out
Lap 46: Safety car in
Lap 48: Coulthard pits from the lead, Raikkonen and Barrichello now the top 2
Lap 55: Alright, here's the race situation. Raikkonen leads Barrichello by less than a second. Michael just pit and exits 5th 28 seconds off the lead. Coulthard is 3rd only 8 seconds off his leading teammate. Coulthard looks like he doesn't need to pit again, but Raikkonen and Barrichello do need to stop again. The question is can Raikkonen and Barrichello catch all that time up on Coulthard when they stop, and can Michael make an unexpected appearence at the front?
Lap 56: SAFETY CAR, IT'S SCHUMACHER, MICHAEL SCHUMACHER HAS CRACKED UNDER PRESSURE AND IS OUT OF THE FRENCH GRAND PRIX!
Great timing for us, we get to get our 3rd stop under safety car conditions
Unfortunate timing for Barrichello who had pit on the lap Michael had crashed
Both of our cars exit ahead of Ralf
Lap 61: Safety car in.
Restart order: Raikkonen, Barrichello, Coulthard, Button, Villeneuve, R Schumacher, Alonso, Pizzonia
Lap 64: Coulthard was so slow off the restart, he's already lost 3 seconds to the top 2
Lap 68: Both cars now past Coulthard in a 3 wide moment, nice one
Lap 69: And we immediately lose both places, great
Final Lap: Barrichello overtook Raikkonen, can he hold onto it?
Villeneuve got past Coulthard again
Race:
Finishing Order: Massa DNF, Fisichella DNF, M Schumacher DNF, Klein P19, Verstappen P18, Wilson P17, Firman P16, Montoya P15, da Matta P14, Frentzen P13, Panis P12, Heidfeld P11, Webber P10, Truilli P9, R Schumacher P8, Pizzonia P7, Alonso P6, Button P5, Coulthard P4, Villeneuve P3, Raikkonen P2, Barrichello P1

Villeneuve gets 2nd podium of the season
Pizzonia gets best finish of the season with 7th
Ralf Schumacher comes back from the pit lane to take 8th
Michael Schumacher dramatically crashes out, putting him further behind his teammate in the drivers standings

🇬🇧 Great Britain 2003:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Wilson P22, Verstappen P21, Klein P20, Massa P19, Firman P18, Truilli P17
Q2 Knockouts: da Matta P16, Panis P15, Fisichella P14, Alonso P13, Pizzonia P12, Webber P11

Polesitter: Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson P8, Jacques P7
5 teams start on the same row as each other (Minardi, Arrows, Toyota, Sauber, BAR), nice symmetry.
Lap 1: It's a wet start and looks to be wet to the end for this race
The top cars are still bunched up by the end of the first lap
Lap 2: Both cars overtook Michael in a double pincer move at Copse, I really liked that
Raikkonen takes the lead
Lap 4: Both drivers up to 4th and 6th, the rain once again putting myself at an advantage
Barrichello re-takes the lead
Lap 6: Barrichello lost 2 places to Raikkonen and Ralf, the Williams now taking some action up front
Lap 8: Ralf takes the lead from Raikkonen, Williams lead at their home race
Also worth noting that the top 8 cars are still bunched up, so if one car behind locks up into a slow corner, it'll cause havoc
Lap 11: I called it, Montoya pushes Button out of the way and gives both cars damage
Lap 19: Michael is regaining form, he passed Coulthard, Villeneuve and Ralf all in the span of 3 laps
Lap 22: Ralf re-passed Michael, back down to 4th
Button and Montoya have collided again, these two really scrapping beyond the limits today
Lap 25: We have to pit, the tires are done
Lap 27: We undercut Coulthard and the Schumacher brothers with Villeneuve
Button is alone with both wings damaged after his derby match with Montoya
Lap 29: Crucial moment here, Barrichello pit and exited 4.3 seconds ahead of his teammate, a nice buffer to hold for the rest of the race
Lap 31: Michael and Coulthard got past Villeneuve, and they're already closing the gap to Barrichello, 2.4 now
Lap 34: Seems like Ralf and Raikkonen are gambling on a safety car, they still haven't pitted and Ralf in particular is losing 2 seconds a lap to Barrichello. 8 seconds between them
Well Raikkonen bailed out on that idea and pits
Lap 35: Ralf follows and pits as well, exits 14 seconds behind leader Barrichello
Lap 42: The top 3 are now seperated by 1.4 seconds, Barrichello leads Coulthard leads Michael
Coulthard takes the lead!
Lap 47: Barrichello seemingly struggling late in this race, he's been passed by Coulthard and his teammate
Lap 51: Backmarkers spread out the top 3, I think it's set and done
Race:
Finishing Order: Wilson P22, Massa P21, Klein P20, Verstappen P19, Fisichella P18, Firman P17, da Matta P16, Frentzen P15, Heidfeld P14, Panis P13, Truilli P12, Pizzonia P11, Webber P10, Button P9, Alonso P8, Montoya P7, Villeneuve P6, Raikkonen P5, R Schumacher P4, Barrichello P3, M Schumacher P2, Coulthard P1
Winner: David Coulthard
BAR: Jenson P9, Jacques P6
Main Highlights:
Coulthard wins 1st race of the season
Michael Schumacher finally gets some ground back on Barrichello, reducing the gap in the standings by 2 points
Tension between Montoya and Button as they collide twice in the race
Montoya and Button not holding back on their viewpoints after British Grand Prix clashes
At the British Grand Prix, Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya and BAR's Jenson Button experienced tensions on track as they collided twice on track, both clashes deemed racing incidents, but the drivers say otherwise.
Montoya: "Not very smart from him then. He's still fairly new to top level competition at the top of motorsport, but I still make myself visible to others around me. You either gotta be blind or stupid or not see me but, you know, it's racing."
Button: I don't know what he was thinking then, we collided twice, maybe he would've thought to be less aggressive after the first one. Just mental, honestly."

But we start from the pit lane because I forgot to mount an upgrade until now 💀
Lap 1: Already on the back of the Minardis after half a lap
Lap 3: Again, Michael being slow at the start of the race, he's even been passed by a Jaguar
I'm actually baffled, he's 92 rated, why is not closer to his teammate in the standings?
Lap 4: Cleared the Minardis and Klein, up to 18th and 19th
Lap 6: Villeneuve passed two cars at once, up to 16th
Ralf still leads, but Barrichello is right there behind
Lap 8: Another two cars at once, 14th and 17th now
Barrichello passed Ralf for the lead, as it stands, his advantage at the top of the standings grows to 23 points, a huge lead with this many races to go
Lap 13: The midfield is easy work, 12th and 14th for now
Lap 20: All of the midfielders are cleared, now to see if we can get anything more out of this
Raikkonen, Ralf, Barrichello, Coulthard, and Michael have all pit by now
Lap 22: We pit, 2 stopper
Championship leader Barrichello has an issue! Might cost him valuable points here
Lap 28: Raikkonen, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Barrichello, Montoya, M Schumacher the top 6
Lap 31: Raikkonen broke away from Ralf, McLaren seem to have the edge on Williams in race pace today
Lap 36: Barrichello pits again, but his car problem means he might end up behind his teammate when he pits
Lap 37: Race leader Raikkonen also pits, crucial decision to be made by Williams
Lap 42: Williams double stack, looks like their plan is to use the fresher tires to catch Raikkonen by the end of the race
That gap is 10 seconds
Lap 45: We pit, and Michael also finally pits, last stops in the top 8
Unusually bad race for Ferrari, they're only 5th and 6th
Lap 50: We finally got into the points, Villeneuve 7th
Lap 54: An update on Williams' plan, it hasn't worked, the gap only came down to 6.6 seconds
Lap 56: Button into the points as well

BAR come back from the pit lane to take 7th and 8th
Ferrari have their worst race this season, neither car finished on the podium for the first time this year
