HRT Bankrupt:
On the eve of the 2010 season where we were due to get 3 new teams, one of them has dropped out due to financial difficulties. Hispania Racing Team, or HRT, were meant to join alongside Team Lotus and Virgin Racing for the new season, but have ended up in a similar fate as US F1: Bankruptcy. They will not compete in the 2010 season
2010 Driver Lineups:
Mercedes: Michael Schumacher-Nico Rosberg
Red Bull: Sebastian Vettel-Mark Webber
McLaren: Lewis Hamilton-Jenson Button
Ferrari: Fernando Alonso-Felipe Massa
Sauber: Kamui Kobayashi-Pedro de la Rosa
Williams: Rubens Barrichello-Nico Hulkenberg
Renault: Robert Kubica-Vitaly Petrov
Force India: Adrian Sutil-Vitantonio Liuzzi
Toro Rosso: Sebastian Buemi-Jaime Alguersuari
Team Lotus: Jarno Truilli-Heikki Kovalainen
Virgin: Timo Glock-Lucas Di Grassi
I just realized something: I now have two saves with Mercedes. The 2010 one and the insanely long one, so I have to be really careful where I save the game 😅

Lap 24: Both Mercedes in, swapping primes to options
Alonso leads from Vettel, 1.7 seconds

But Alonso fights through and re-takes it again
Lap 38: Alonso pits and goes for another set of options
Lap 41: Vettel in, also options
Alonso now leads by 6 seconds, but will his options be enough to defend from the Red Bull?
15 laps to go (Yes we're using 57 laps, no endurance version in game): Vettel really pushing hard, so hard even that his tires are burning a bit

WRONG
Didn't think of those seasons immediately, will keep them in mind now

So, while playing another save, I did a rare mistake with save slots and accidentally deleted the main 2010 save instead of the backup one. The main was before China and the backup was during Malaysia. So the next time I play this, I have to do Malaysia again.
So we're back in Malaysia after my little whoopsie with the saves, and I don't feel like doing it all over again, so I'm simulating it. Results above are now invalid.

Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P4, Nico P2
Lap 1: Rosberg jumps Webber off the line, 1-4 now
Lap 5: Schumacher through on Vettel, we now have the clear upper hand on Red Bull
Lap 15: Took some orchestrated planning, but we are now 1-2 ahead of both Red Bulls
Lap 20: Backmarkers already, though they are the Temu Lotus' and Virgins so I'm not very surprised
Lap 36: Safety car, the lap after I pit, really?
Rosberg continues to lead, but Schumacher has dropped to 5th behind Vettel, Webber, and Alonso
Lap 41: Safety car ending, and lapped cars could barely find their way through the traffic, some are still sitting behind the safety car as it's called in
Lap 43: Red flag, we are properly screwed, only one type of tire avaliable
Hear me out: It was a Toro Rosso that caused the red flag, and now Vettel has taken the lead of the restart. THIS IS RED BULL PROPAGANDA!
Lap 56: Uneventful since the restart, but we are biding our time the smoothest compared to those around us
Lap 59: Yeah Red Bull definitely aren't making it to the end, less than 60% tires already
Lap 65: Well even our backup strategy has been jeopardized, a second red flag
Restarting 2-4
Lap 67: Michael is out after Alonso crashed into him. Can anything else go wrong now?
Lap 73: Despite all that's gone against us, Rosberg re-takes the lead from Vettel
Quick mention that Glock is currently 12th, if by some miracle two more cars get into a incident ahead, Virgin may actually score a point
Race:
Finishing Order: Kovalainen DNF, Alguersuari DNF, Kobayashi DNF, di Grassi DNF, de la Rosa DNF, Alonso DNF, Schumacher DNF, Truilli DNF, Hulkenberg P14, Buemi P13, Glock P12, Barrichello P11, Liuzzi P10, Sutil P9, Kubica P8, Hamilton P7, Petrov P6, Massa P5, Button P4, Webber P3, Vettel P2, Rosberg P1

Schumacher demoted to 7th due to grid penalty and Vettel takes a pit lane start
First lap safety car already
Lap 4: Safety car came in, we went racing, and then after 1 sector, replaced by a red flag. Not a single full lap of proper racing yet
4 cars out already
This is the dumbest red flag I've ever seen, miles of open road to use
Lap 7: Webber off! He was in 5th and set to keep 4th in the standings but is going to tumble down the race order
Lap 10: Not the end of these early incidents, Petrov and Kobayashi colliding over 9th and 10th and destroying both of their front wings
Lap 12: Massa now leads and is clear of the 3 cars behind him
Schumacher on the outside of Rosberg in that tricky triple left hander and gets it done! Looks like he never left at all
Glock retired with a mechanical problem and Kobayashi retired due the contact damage, 6 cars out already and not even 1/3 through
Lap 22: Safety car just after I pit again, you cannot make this up now
2 more cars out
Lap 26: Button spins at the safety car restart and separates the Mercedes' and Ferraris from the rest of the field
Lap 32: Race leader Alonso has a car problem, can the three cars behind catch up?
Lap 34: Massa also reporting problems, Ferrari's reliability just letting them down more often than not this season
Lap 44: MASSA SPINS WHILE FIGHTING ALONSO FOR THE LEAD, CRUCIAL MOMENT IN THIS RACE!
Lap 48: Schumacher is now right on Alonso's tail for the lead
Lap 53: Massa now has problems in all 3 main components, really falling behind now
Speaking of faults, Webber is out due to a terminal engine fault
13 cars left

Lap 2: 1-2, now to try and drop Webber behind
Lap 11: Took some time, but we now have a buffer to our main rivals
Lap 12: Returned after dinner, even the people on the pit wall need some eats
And Massa somehow dragged Webber back into contention with us
Lap 14: Quick note, Hamilton cannot pull away from the two Renaults, Hulkenberg, and Sutil
Lap 18: Former Ferrari teammates fighting hard, Schumacher defending for his life against Massa
Lap 19: Almost 3 wide into the final chicane, madness going on up front
Lap 21: Webber pits quite early, 2 stopper from Red Bull for sure
Lap 22: We pit, 2 stopper as well
Lap 24: Massa manages to overcut? Huh?
Top 3 is now Massa, Webber, Schumacher
Lap 44: Changing the strat up a bit, pitting now and hopefully having enough of a gap to hold off Webber and Massa at the end
Lap 45: Red Bull respond immediately, only a 2.2 second gap
Lap 49: Massa now pits as well
Lap 60: Still a 3 way fight for the win between Schumacher, Massa, and Webber, virtually nothing between them
Lap 69: It is way too close, Webber has been ushered wide twice this lap, that's how close it is

🇪🇺 Europe 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Truilli P22, Liuzzi P21, de la Rosa P20, Kovalainen P19, di Grassi P18, Kobayashi P17
Q2 Knockouts: Buemi P16 (Out), Petrov P15, Barrichello P14, Sutil P13, Glock P12, Kubica P11
Q3 Top 10: Alguersuari P10, Hulkenberg P9, Hamilton P8, Button P7, Massa P6, Schumacher P5, Alonso P4, Rosberg P3, Vettel P2, Webber P1
Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P5, Nico P3
Red Bull were 3 tenths clear of the rest of the front runners in Q3, so it might be tough to best them in the race
Lap 3: Current order is Vettel, Webber, Alonso, Rosberg, Massa, Schumacher. If it stays that way, the drivers standings will look like this
Multi 21, or rather 5-6, would be great for Red Bull right now though, their fighting has brought the next 4 into contention
Lap 8: Vettel has a fault, maybe not a great time for this to happen especially with this kind of opportunity
Lap 12: Kobayashi and Truilli almost caused a red flag, would've been a great benefit to my strategy
Lap 15: We pit Schumacher, Rosberg follows up next lap
And oddly, Webber has faded a bit, 5 seconds behind the top 2
Lap 16: Well that's cause he's pitting, out behind Hamilton though. Good for me because both drivers aren't behind Hamilton
Lap 18: Vettel pits, don't know if it's going to be a one stop though
Either way, despite the odds, we're now 2.6 ahead of the Red Bulls
Lap 19: Massa pits, we take over as the leaders, 2.1 ahead of the Red Bulls
Lap 20: Enough is enough, only 1.5 to the Red Bulls due to teammate fighting, we can't lose any more time, imposing team orders for now
Well that didn't work, forget it
Lap 22: We still hold 1-2, crucial because A) It's denying Red Bull points, B) We can take the lead of the constructors from Ferrari
Lap 27: The race landscape has changed a bit, Schumacher, Vettel, Rosberg the top 3 with Webber again dropping time as the stint progresses, what's happening?
Also Vettel's problem cleared up a while ago, back up to full speed
Lap 33: Red flag, Petrov out
No one in the top 4 pit but Massa was ahead of Alonso for 5th and 6th and just pit before the flag came out
Lap 38: Alonso worked up to the podium places
And I checked the standings in the place where you see in depth data and stuff, apparently Button has gained 15 places, so I assume he took a pit lane start
Lap 42: Vettel, Rosberg, Schumacher, Webber, Alonso, Massa the order
Ferrari have dropped a bit of time now
Lap 45: Schumacher up to 2nd, back in a 1-2 position
Lap 46: It's unfolding for Red Bull at the worst possible time, Webber's tires are almost finished and Vettel has car woes returning
Lap 49: Oh hang on a minute, Alonso's somehow returned, he's passed Webber and looking to pass Vettel as well
VSC, Sutil out, will the race finish normally?
Start of lap 51: Yes it will, Mercedes to duel to the end
Race:
Finishing Order: Kobayashi DNF, Petrov DNF, Sutil DNF, de la Rosa P19, Buemi P18, Truilli P17, Barrichello P16, Luizzi P15, Alguersuari P14, Kovalainen P13, di Grassi P12, Glock P11, Hulkenberg P10, Hamilton P9, Kubica P8, Button P7, Massa P6, Webber P5, Alonso P4, Vettel P3, Rosberg P2, Schumacher P1

Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P3, Nico P4
Ok, no clue what the hell happened to Hamilton and Massa, it didn't look like they were blocked on their laps
Also it's going to rain
Lap 2: Started dry, but rain started earlier than I thought
Lap 8: So I gambled on early inters and it's gone badly, we're now only 4th and 6th
Lap 16: Webber, Alonso, Vettel, Schumacher, Massa, Rosberg the top order
Lap 20: Vettel past Alonso to 2nd, and Rosberg past Massa to 5th
Although Vettel's inters are quite worn already
Lap 27: With my strategy set, I pushed both cars, which has allowed Schumacher to catch and pass Alonso on the outside of Copse up to 3rd
We pit for another set of inters... and of course it's a pit stop issue
Lap 29: Either Ferrari are going for a late charge or gambling on a safety car for a free pit stop, either way they still haven't pitted a 2nd time
Lap 31: Nevermind, by then both Alonso and Massa have pitted
Also, what on earth is going on at McLaren? Button is down in 12th with car problems and Hamilton in down in a lowly 14th behind Liuzzi of all people
Lap 32: Webber pits, is it enough to get out ahead of teammate Vettel though?
It is, 2 seconds between the Bulls
Lap 34: And that battle for the lead has been shut down, Vettel has yet another car problem
Lap 46: Vettel's problem has gotten worse, could this dropkick him out of a podium position?
Also, brief mention that both McLarens now have mechanical issues and have been lapped. Absolute disaster at their home race
Lap 51: Alonso gaining on Vettel, while Schumacher is gaining on Alonso, could be a 3 way down to the wire finish for 2nd
Race:
Finishing Order: Truilli P22, di Grassi P21, Buemi P20, de la Rosa P19, Kobayashi P18, Kovalainen P17, Button P16, Alguersuari P15, Hamilton P14, Glock P13, Barrichello P12, Liuzzi P11, Sutil P10, Hulkenberg P9, Petrov P8, Kubica P7, Massa P6, Rosberg P5, Schumacher P4, Alonso P3, Vettel P2, Webber P1
Winner: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P4, Nico P5
Main Highlights:
Webber wins 2nd race of the season and takes 2nd in the drivers standings
Vettel hangs on to 2nd despite major car problem
Massa comes back from 14th to take 6th
McLaren have their worst race so far this season, both Button and Hamilton suffering major car problems to take only 14th and 16th
Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 141 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Mark Webber, 140 points (Red Bull)
3rd: Fernando Alonso, 138 points (Ferrari)
4th: Nico Rosberg, 135 points (Mercedes)
5th: Felipe Massa, 132 points (Ferrari)
6th: Sebastian Vettel, 119 points (Red Bull)

Top of the Constructors Standings:
1st: Mercedes, 276 points
2nd: Ferrari, 270 points
3rd: Red Bull, 259 points
We're still the leaders in both championships, although the Red Bulls have developed crazy pace (both cars here).
Front wing upgrade is on the way but having to to wait 2 races for it
Germany will be fine I think, but Hungary is likely going to be a struggle to keep up
🇩🇪 Germany 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Truilli P22, Kovalainen P21, Kobayashi P20, de la Rosa P19, Alguersuari P18, Di Grassi P17
Q2 Knockouts: Buemi P16, Glock P15, Liuzzi P14, Petrov P13, Sutil P12, Hulkenberg P11
Ahhh nice
Q3 Top 10: Kubica P10, Barrichello P9, Hamilton P8, Button P7, Schumacher P6, Massa P5, Alonso P4, Rosberg P3, Vettel P2, Webber P1
Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P6, Nico P3
Kubica goes to the pit lane to start
Lap 2: Webber down 4 places from pole, exactly what we need
Lap 3: Webber is struggling really badly at the start, he's down to 7th, what happened?
Lap 4: Took a mini break and back now, Webber is out of the way, but we have a new problem: Alonso
As it stands, he ties with Schumacher in the standings and if he wins, he takes the lead of the standings
Lap 7: SCHUMACHER LOCKS UP, POTENTIALLY CRUCIAL MOMENT THIS RACE!
Drops to 8th
Lap 13: Button took a while, but he's currently up to 3rd
I don't know what it is with JB this season. Only 1 podium yet if he wins 3 or 4 races he can easily become a serious title contender. He's just there.
Lap 15: RED FLAG, IT'S JENSON BUTTON, WHAT'S HAPPENDED?!
Massa clips Button and sends him way off into a wall and out of the race
Lap 17: Top 6 restart order: Vettel, Alonso, Rosberg, Massa, Webber, Schumacher
Lap 19: Top 6 are all bunched together now
Webber now has a car problem as well
Lap 21: Webber's problem has eased off, back up to speed for the Aussie
Lap 33: We are nowhere at the moment, 5-6 led by Rosberg, hopefully when we fit on new tires for the last stop things can turn around
Lap 38: Oh not again, Rosberg locked up in the same place Schumacher did
Lap 45: We pit, and of course the car in front has a pit stop issue, can anything else go wrong now?
Final Lap: At least both cars get past Webber, and Vettel won, minimizing Alonso's points gain
Race:
Finishing Order: Button DNF, Truilli P21, Alguersuari P20, de la Rosa P19, di Grassi P18, Kobayashi P17, Glock P16, Kovalainen P15, Buemi P14, Liuzzi P13, Barrichello P12, Petrov P11, Kubica P10, Hulkenberg P9, Sutil P8, Hamilton P7, Webber P6, Schumacher P5, Rosberg P4, Massa P3, Alonso P2, Vettel P1
Winner: Sebastian Vettel
Mercedes: Michael P5, Nico P4
Main Highlights:
Vettel wins 1st race of the season and puts his hat into this title battle
Disaster for Mercedes at their home race, losing the lead of both championships to Alonso and Ferrari
Kubica comes back from the pit lane to take 10th
Williams and Force India tie on points for 6th in the constructors standings
Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Fernando Alonso, 156 points (Ferrari)
2nd: Michael Schumacher, 151 points (Mercedes)
3rd: Mark Webber, 148 points (Red Bull)
4th: Nico Rosberg, 147 points (Mercedes)
5th: Felipe Massa, 147 points (Ferrari)
6th: Sebastian Vettel, 147 points (Red Bull)
7th: Jenson Button, 95 points (McLaren)
Germany was indeed not fine
Maybe it's a home race curse, McLaren had it in Silverstone as well
So I could've had a better race at Germany, but I completely forgot to mount a chassis upgrade, massive goof up from my side
🇭🇺 Hungary 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Truilli P22, di Grassi P21, Kovalainen P20, Glock P19, de la Rosa P18, Alguersuari P17
Q2 Knockouts: Liuzzi P16, Buemi P15, Kobayashi P14, Hulkenberg P13, Sutil P12, Petrov P11
Q3 Top 10: Barrichello P10, Kubica P9, Button P8, Hamilton P7, Alonso P6, Massa P5, Schumacher P4, Vettel P3, Rosberg P2, Webber P1
Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P4, Nico P2
The gap to pole was 0.072 with Nico, and he was 0.002 ahead of Vettel, so this is manageable this time if the strategy works
Lap 1: Rosberg passes Webber at the chicane on the inside, exactly what we needed right now
Lap 5: Vettel takes the lead from Rosberg, and as it stands, he goes from 6th to 1st in the standings
Tell me that it isn't close in the standings with that
Hamilton also seems to have finally found his mojo after so long in this season, he's currently 3rd behind Rosberg
Lap 8: Massa has developed a major car problem already. He might have to retire from the race, and that could really hurt his own championship challenge as well as Ferrari's constructors position
Schumacher through on Webber into 5th, falling into place so far
Lap 12: Our cars are actually fast now, Rosberg has pulled away from Hamilton and Schumacher has just overtaken the McLaren
Lap 16: In order for both strategies to work, I must impose team orders for now
Lap 19: Rosberg pits, and using Schumacher to tow him, he's come out closer to Vettel then when the first stints ended
Now I think is time to show my strategy:
Michael's strategy: Prime-Activate-Activate-Option
Nico's strategy: Option-Activate-Prime-Option
Option = Soft
Prime = Medium
Activate = Hard (made up)
Lap 21: Webber pits, just Schumacher in the top 6 left to pit
Lap 22: We pit Michael, first of three stops
He's ahead of Alonso, absolutely crucial in terms of points
Lap 27: Successfully cleared Hamilton, now to focus on leader Vettel
Lap 30: Rosberg caught Vettel, now for Schumacher to do the same
Lap 35: One car through on Vettel, now for the other to pass as well
Well Vettel isn't bothering with that, he pits AND HAS A SLOW FRONT RIGHT, CRUCIAL MOMENT!
Lap 38: We pit Schumacher again, second of the three stops
Nico is coming in next lap for the different tire
Lap 40: We are behind the Red Bulls, but they have a tire disadvantage, especially Webber
Lap 45: Yeah Webber is really slow, he's already lost 8 seconds total to Vettel when Vettel was gaining and pulling away from Webber
Schumacher past him as well
Rosberg too
Lap 50: Yeah Vettel isn't bothering battling with us at all, he pit the instant Schumacher got close to him
He's fit the Activates, the hardest tire avaliable, strange considering there's only 20 laps left
Lap 56: We double stack perfectly, all three stops complete, now to get Vettel
Lap 65: Schumacher slowly but surely gaining on Vettel, it's going all the way to the end
Lap 69: And now, for the final part of my masterplan, unleash all what we've got for a maximum attack on Vettel at the end
Lap 70: It has worked, Schumacher passed Vettel into turn 5 (or turn 4? That fast left hander) on lap 69 and Rosberg has passed into turn 1 the next lap
Race:
Finishing Order: Di Grassi DNF, Truilli DNF, Kovalainen P20, de la Rosa P19, Glock P18, Alguersuari P17, Buemi P16, Kobayashi P15, Liuzzi P14, Sutil P13, Petrov P12, Hulkenberg P11, Barrichello P10, Kubica P9, Hamilton P8, Massa P7, Button P6, Alonso P5, Webber P4, Vettel P3, Rosberg P2, Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Mercedes: Michael P1, Nico P2
Main Highlights:
Schumacher wins 5th race of the season and re-takes the lead of the drivers standings
Mercedes bounce back from disastrous home race and re-take the lead of the constructors standings from Ferrari
Red Bull tie on points with Ferrari for 2nd in the constructors standings
Mid Season Standings:
Constructors:
1st: Mercedes, 341 points
2nd: Red Bull, 319 points
3rd: Ferrari, 319 points
4th: McLaren, 161 points
5th: Renault, 46 points
6th: Williams, 13 points
7th: Force India, 12 points
8th: Toro Rosso, 1 points
9th: Virgin, 0 points
10th: Team Lotus, 0 points
11th: Sauber, 0 points
If there was a 0 star option in game, Virgin and Team Lotus would get that, but we work with what we have
Sauber are on 2 stars by the way
Drivers:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 176 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Fernando Alonso, 166 points (Ferrari)
3rd: Nico Rosberg, 165 points (Mercedes)

20th: Kamui Kobayashi, 0 points (Sauber)
21st: Jarno Truilli, 0 points (Team Lotus)
22nd: Pedro de la Rosa, 0 points (Sauber)
Finally the new front wing + a sidepods upgrade is arriving for Belgium, the sidepods especially helpful for this track with +0.4 Gs in high speed
I hope these upgrades are enough because we can't get much more out of these, at least until the next ATR period
For Belgium, qualifying and the race will be rain affected, great opportunity to increase our gap in the standings
Early qualifying peek:
Championship runner up Alonso is only 12th...
What season are you simulating?
2010
Virgin and Lotus are inaccurate I know, but you can't make a team that slow in vanilla
I mean make all other teams 3-4-5 and them 1 and their facilities 1 with everyone else higher and their budget the least and that should do
That's my idea if 2012 or 2011 is picked in a future poll
Although, 2007 was picked in an old poll, so potentinally after 07'
🇧🇪 Belgium 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Kovalainen P22 (Out), Truilli P21, di Grassi P20, Kobayashi P19, Alguersuari P18, Liuzzi P17
Q2 Knockouts: Sutil P16 (No time), Glock P15, de la Rosa P14, Buemi P13, Alonso P12, Petrov P11
Q3 Top 10: Barrichello P10, Hulkenberg P9, Button P8, Kubica P7, Massa P6, Webber P5, Hamilton P4, Schumacher P3, Rosberg P2, Vettel P1
Polesitter: Sebastian Vettel
Mercedes: Michael P3, Nico P2
So 3 things to go over from the full qualifying:
Q1: Kovalainen supposedly ran out of fuel and caused a red flag, he had no damage shown and was just stopped before Pouhon
Q2: Alonso got knocked out due to traffic, crucial for the championship
Q3: Hulkenberg had the fastest first sector, seems traffic ruined anything above 9th and 10th for Williams though
Petrov and Sutil go to the pit lane to start
Lap 5: We're 1-2, again getting what we need in the early laps
Lap 12: So I thought the rain was coming by lap 22, turns out is coming by potentially lap 14, so the 3 drivers who started on the softer tire (Ferraris and Button) knew something the others didn't
Lap 15: Rain starting, and we've pulled away from the rest of the front runners
Lap 18: The water is going up very slowly. Call me ambitious, but it might not even become inter weather
Lap 22: We've got everyone fitting inters, looks a bit early in terms of track water
Now I think it's good enough, pitting both cars
Lap 23: de la Rosa locked up at the final chicane and is forced to continue for another lap on very worn slicks
Lap 25: Webber takes the lead, probably pushing a little harder than needed though
Lap 33: It's 0.72 mm of track water, I think it's dry enough despite it still raining, so I'm gambling on slicks
Lap 34: Red Bull have taken heed to this, they've pitted both Webber and Vettel
That gamble has given Schumacher a 3 second buffer to Webber
Lap 38: The gap in front has increased to 4 seconds, crucial for this race and the championship standings
Lap 40: 5 seconds now, basically set is the top 4 now
Race:
Finishing Order: Kovalainen DNF, Kobayashi DNF, de la Rosa P20, Alguersuari P19, di Grassi P18, Petrov P17, Truilli P16, Glock P15, Hulkenberg P14, Barrichello P13, Liuzzi P12, Buemi P11, Button P10, Kubica P9, Sutil P8, Alonso P7, Hamilton P6, Massa P5, Vettel P4, Rosber P3, Webber P2, Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Mercedes: Michael P1, Nico P3
Main Highlights:
Schumacher wins 6th race of the season and extends his lead in the drivers standings
Sutil comes back from the pit lane to take 8th in the Force India, brilliant drive from him. As a result, Force India overtake Williams for 6th in the constructors standings
Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 201 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Nico Rosberg, 180 points (Mercedes)
3rd: Mark Webber, 178 points (Red Bull)
4th: Fernando Alonso, 172 points (Ferrari)
5th: Sebastian Vettel, 171 points (Red Bull)
6th: Felipe Massa, 163 points (Ferrari)
Top of the Constructors Standings:
1st: Mercedes, 381 points

🇮🇹 Italy 2010:

Q1 Knockouts: de la Rosa P22, Kobayashi P21, Truilli P20, Hulkenberg P19, Kubica P18, Glock P17
Q2 Knockouts: Kovalainen P16, di Grassi P15, Barrichello P14, Buemi P13, Alguersuari P12, Liuzzi P11
Q3 Top 10: Hamilton P10, Sutil P9, Massa P8, Webber P7, Button P6, Petrov P5, Alonso P4, Schumacher P3, Vettel P2, Rosberg P1
Polesitter: Nico Rosberg
Mercedes: Michael P3, Nico P1
Heavy rain affected qualifying and race, I think a few out of order finishes might take place
Kubica takes a pit lane start
And so does Massa! He's got a lot of work to do to take as many points as possible for the championship
Lap 11: Was a short time in damp conditions, back to full wet
Lap 16: Alonso passes both Mercedes, he leads the Italian Grand Prix for Ferrari!
Lap 18: Safety car, everyone is pitting no doubt
Lap 20: I've just looked at everyone's tires, and de la Rosa is gambling on inters for the 2nd time this race, the first time was that early damp part of the race. The water is going down so slowly, it's never going to work now
Lap 27: It's damp track conditions again, looking to go on for longer this time. This is where I thrive, as during the damp phase, I can keep the wets as cool as possible for when the track gets wet again, I can use my tire wear advantage to charge back through.
Would help right now because we have no pace for some reason, 4th and 5th behind the Red Bulls and Alonso
Lap 36: It's full wet conditions again, the second phase of the tire wear game begins here
Some drivers might actually run out of wets, new ones at least
Lap 41: Webber has terminal damage on the gearbox, he has to retire! Huge for Red Bull in both championships
Lap 49: We have punctures already. di Grassi's tire blew, he went into the pits to fit 41% wets... Yeah it's bad out there

🇸🇬 Singapore 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Di Grassi P22, de la Rosa P21, Kobayashi P20, Glock P19, Truilli P18, Hulkenberg P17
Q2 Knockouts: Kovalainen P16, Alguersuari P15, Liuzzi P14, Barrichello P13, Buemi P12, Petrov P11
Q3 Top 10: Button P10, Kubica P9, Sutil P8, Hamilton P7, Massa P6, Alonso P5, Webber P4, Schumacher P3, Rosberg P2, Vettel P1
Polesitter: Sebastian Vettel
Mercedes: Michael P3, Nico P2
Kubica starts 12th due to grid penalty. Glock starts last due to grid penalty
Lap 2: Basically immediate red flag, Glock and de la Rosa out
Rosberg got past Vettel beforehand so vital for the restart
Lap 7: Rosberg held onto the lead, but Schumacher has dropped to 5th from 3rd on the restart
Nevermind, 6th, what is going on?
In order: Rosberg, Vettel, Alonso, Massa, Webber, Schumacher
Lap 11: Schumacher got Webber at the final corner, nice
Also, I have no idea how Rosberg is still leading despite relentless attacks from Vettel while the Red Bull is an overall faster car
Lap 14: Fittingly, another change in the train as Alonso gets past Vettel into 2nd
Lap 17: Rosberg still leads, a defensive masterclass on display right now
Lap 18: Alonso finally got past Rosberg, and so did Vettel
And then the Ferrari pits, first of the top 6
Lap 20: Webber follows suite
Ahead of him and Alonso is Petrov. Hey wait a minute...
Lap 22: Massa pits, only the two Mercedes' and Vettel left in the top 6
And Petrov pits. Damn, he really could've helped there
Lap 24: Top 3 all pit at the same time, Vettel's jumped Rosberg, not good
Lap 29: Alonso, Vettel, Massa, Webber
We're 5th and 6th, car is a joke, can't even catch up now
Lap 45: Final stops made, Webber was the last to pit rather late and has been undercut by Rosberg
Lap 46: Well nevermind, he's past already, what is this?
Lap 59: SCHUMACHER's CRASHED, WHY?!?!
This has been an even worse joke than Germany
Final lap: At least Webber somehow overtook both Ferraris on the last lap, took points off Alonso
Race:
Finishing Order: de la Rosa DNF, Glock DNF, Liuzzi DNF, Schumacher DNF, Hulkenberg P18, di Grassi P17, Truilli P16, Buemi P15, Kobayashi P14, Kovalainen P13, Alguersuari P12, Barrichello P11, Petrov P10, Kubica P9, Sutil P8, Hamilton P7, Button P6, Rosberg P5, Vettel P4, Massa P3, Alonso P2, Webber P1
Winner: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael DNF, Nico P5
Main Highlights:
Webber wins 3rd race of the season, passing both Ferraris on the final lap
Mercedes' even bigger disaster than Germany allows Alonso and Ferrari to close up in both championships
Top of the Drivers Standings
1st: Michael Schumacher, 216 points (Mercedes)

3rd: Nico Rosberg, 208 points (Mercedes)

My controller is acting up, may not start Japan for a bit
Controller issues sorted, now a chassis upgrade has been delayed, great
Pre Japan: We've fitted a chassis upgrade and a rear wing upgrade with a sidepods upgrade on the way, but it seems impossible to catch up to Red Bull on paper
Yes I know Ferrari are closer to us in the standings, but on paper we have on par cars, so I'm worried that if things go Red Bull's way, it can't be turned around.
Wait there's only 4 rounds left? Damn, shows how much the calendar has bloated in 15 years
🇯🇵 Japan 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: di Grassi p22, Alguersuari P21, Glock P20, Hulkenberg P19, de la Rosa P18, Liuzzi P17
Q2 Knockouts: Kobayashi P16, Kovalainen P15, Buemi P14, Barrichello P13, Truilli P12, Kubica P11
Fair play to Lotus, they timed the changeable conditions perfectly to get to Q2 and that high up
Q3 Top 10: Sutil P10, Petrov P9, Vettel P8, Hamilton P7, Button P6, Alonso P5, Rosberg P4, Massa P3, Schumacher P2, Webber P1
Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P2, Nico P4
Lap 1: Quite the mixture of tires out there. it's going to rain in the middle of the race, so it'll pay off for either the 12 drivers on options or the 10 drivers on primes
Lap 3: Schumacher leads, need to manage to keep it that way somehow
Lap 4: Webber re-takes the lead, so at least stay with the Red Bull
Lap 6:
Lap 8: Alonso passed Webber, and I don't know what to say about it. On one hand, the Red Bull is the faster car, so they can't get more points in the final 4 rounds, but on the other hand, Alonso is closer in the championship so he gets more points to keep the lead intact.
Lap 9: Schumacher dropped to 3rd, not ideal
Lap 10: The Virgins have crashed, safety car
Lap 13: Safety car in this lap, it is 0.48 mm of track water, but going up very slowly
Lap 18: The rain is not in any hurry whatsoever, only 0.65 mm
And we have our first stopper, it's Vettel for Red Bull. Big moment here
Lap 19: Webber stops the next lap. Do your thing Christian, I'm not risking traffic
Lap 20: Both Mercedes' and Alonso pit, only Massa left
Schumacher is just ahead of Webber, good
Lap 21: Massa pit and overcut Alonso, really good
Lap 28: It took a lot, and I mean a lot of fiddling, but we managed to stay ahead of Webber by the time the track got damp, which is crucial
Lap 31: It's still real tricky here
Lap 33: By this point, the race started at 3:35 PM EST, it is now 4:10 PM EST. That's how much micromanaging I've had to do
Lap 38: Schumacher managed to gap Webber by 2 seconds, finally some breathing room
Lap 39: Truilli held up Webber by 2 seconds, gap now 4
Lap 41: Rain is clear, now for the track to dry up
Lap 43: Track is now considered dry, but when will it be dry enough for options?
And Massa is fighting Webber, that'll give Schumacher more of a gap
Well that wasn't needed because Webber and Alonso are in for slicks, might be a bit early though
Lap 44: Now it's time, pitting both cars
Schumacher got held in the pits my Massa, so the gap to Webber is only 1.5 now
Lap 45: Safety car! Kubica out
Lap 47: Safety car in this lap
Schumacher has already pulled away
Lap 50: WEBBER AND ALONSO HAVE COLLIDED, THIS SURELY SECURES SCHUMACHER THE WIN!
Rosberg could get a podium now
Lap 52: Rosberg up to 3rd, he might even get 2nd from Massa
Race:
Finishing Order: di Grassi DNF, Glock DNF, Kubica DNF, Kobayashi P19, Kovalainen P18, Truilli P17, de la Rosa P16, Alguersuari P15, Buemi P14, Hulkenberg P13, Barrichello P12, Liuzzi P11, Hamilton P10, Petrov P9, Sutil P8, Vettel P7, Button P6, Alonso P5 (+5 seconds, -0 positions), Webber P4, Rosberg P3, Massa P2, Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Mercedes: Michael P1, Nico P3
Main Highlights:
Schumacher wins 7th race of the season and makes up from dreadful Singapore race
Massa and Rosberg fight to the line on the final lap, less than 2 tenths separated them
Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 241 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Fernando Alonso, 225 points (Ferrari)
3rd: Nico Rosberg, 223 points (Mercedes)
4th: Mark Webber, 215 points (Red Bull)
5th: Felipe Massa, 206 points (Ferrari)
6th: Sebastian Vettel, 201 points (Red Bull)
Top of the Constructors Standings:
1st: Mercedes, 464 points
2nd: Ferrari, 431 points
3rd: Red Bull, 416 points
How many rounds left?
3, South Korea, Brazil, and Abu Dhabi
I'm surprised it's 3 rounds left already, comes to show how many races have been added in a decade and a half
👍
😂
🇰🇷 South Korea 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Buemi P22, Truilli P21, Liuzzi P20, Kovalainen P19, Hulkenberg P18, Glock P17
Q2 Knockouts: Kobayashi P16, Alguersuari P15, de la Rosa P14, di Grassi P13, Petrov P12, Sutil P11
Props to di Grassi there but he has a penalty
Q3 Top 10: Barrichello P10, Kubica P9, Button P8, Schumacher P7, Hamilton P6, Rosberg P5, Massa P4, Vettel P3, Alonso P2, Webber P1
Polesitter: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P7, Nico P5
Lap 6: 2nd and 4th at the moment, decent ground made up early on
Lap 9: Red Bull are absolutely walking away right now, 4 seconds to Webber and 5.3 to leader Vettel
Lap 12: ROSBERG HAS SMASHED INTO THE BACK OF BUTTON, THIS COULD BE HUGE FOR THE CONSTRUCTORS CHAMPIONSHIP!
Safety car
Lap 14: Safety car in
(Went outdoors for a bit)
Lap 19: Alonso leads, not good at the moment
Lap 27: Slowly but surely, Schumacher has worked his way up the top 6, partly because I'm probably the only one doing 3 stops total at this point after the safety car
Lap 36: We lost some time in the last few laps, so I'm pitting for the 2nd time
Lap 53: The stint went better than I thought, pitting for the 3rd and final time, the charge begins
And I cannot update the rest of the race, outside factors
Race:
So throughout the final few laps, Schumacher cut down a 25 second gap from 5th to overtake Webber and Massa on the final lap to take 3rd. Now onto the order.
Finishing Order: Button DNF, Rosberg DNF, Truilli P20, Hulkenberg P19, Liuzzi P18, di Grassi P17, Kobyashi P16, Kubica P15, Buemi P14, Kovalainen P13, de la Rosa P12, Glock P11, Alguersuari P10, Barrichello P9, Petrov P8, Sutil P7, Hamilton P6, Webber P5, Massa P4, Schumacher P3, Alonso P2, Vettel P1
Winner: Sebastian Vettel
Mercedes: Michael P3, Nico DNF
Main Highlights:
Vettel wins 2nd race of the season
Barrichello comes back from the pit lane to take 9th
Ferrari and Red Bull make a substantial gain in the constructors standings after Rosberg's DNF for Mercedes, a heavy blow for the Brackley based team
Top of the Drivers Standings:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 256 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Fernando Alonso, 243 points (Ferrari)
3rd: Sebastian Vettel, 226 points (Red Bull)
4th: Mark Webber, 225 points (Red Bull)
5th: Nico Rosberg, 233 points (Mercedes)
6th: Felipe Massa, 218 points (Ferrari)
Top of the Constructors Standings:
1st: Mercedes, 479 points
2nd: Ferrari, 461 points
3rd: Red Bull, 451 points
One last push of upgrades arrive for Brazil and Abu Dhabi, a new underfloor and some new sidepods.
This is pretty much the maximum I can extract out this car at this point
🇧🇷 Brazil 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Sutil P22, di Grassi P2,1 Alguersuari P20, Kovalainen P19, Truilli P18, de la Rosa P17
Q2 Knockouts: Kobayashi P16, Glock P15, Buemi P14, Liuzzi P13, Hulkenberg P12, Barrichello P11
Q3 Top 10: Petrov P10, Kubica P9, Button P8, Massa P7, Hamilton P6, Webber P5, Alonso P4, Vettel P3, Schumacher P2, Rosberg P1
Polesitter: Would have been Nico Rosberg, however he has a penalty carried over from the Korean Grand Prix, so the real polesitter is Michael Schumacher
Mercedes: Michael P2 (1), Nico P1 (4)
Lap 2: We are 1-2, I honestly wasn't expecting that heading into the weekend
Lap 15: Massa is trading places with us, but we're still in the podium places
Lap 24: We've pitted, smooth stops, now for hopefully smooth traffic clearance
Lap 29: Current order is Vettel, Rosberg, Webber, Alonso, Massa, Schumacher. I've just looked at the standings and if it stays that way, Schumacher will have a slim lead into Abu Dhabi. We have to move up, like, now
Lap 37: Webber has pulled away, so it's Ferrari who are our main priorities for the moment
Lap 45: Vettel pit a few laps ago, and Webber's tires are falling off a cliff, so it seems like a battle for net 2nd
Lap 46: Webber pits, and he's a long way behind Vettel
Lap 48: Crucial moment, Massa pits for options, we're going to react
Lap 49: We pit Michael, Nico in next lap
Lap 51: Rosberg and Alonso have pit on separate laps, we are now 4th and 5th led by Schumacher
Lap 56: Schumacher up to 2nd now. You know, Vettel is only 4 seconds ahead, the win isn't totally off the cards yet
Lap 61: Vettel now only 2 seconds ahead
Lap 63: RED FLAG, THIS TOTALLY CHANGES THINGS!
Lap 65 Restart: Not even 10 seconds off the restart, and another red flag!
Lap 67 Second Restart: Up to 2nd and 3rd
Lap 70: Schumacher takes the lead, can he hold it for 2 more laps?
Race:
Finishing Order: Sutil DNF, Liuzzi DNF, Alguersuari DNF, Buemi DNF, de la Rosa P18, di Grassi P17, Kovalainen P16, Truilli P15, Kobayashi P14, Hulkenberg P13, Barrichello P12, Glock P11, Petrov P10, Kubica P9, Hamilton P8, Alonso P7, Button P6, Massa P5, Rosberg P4, Webber P3, Vettel P2, Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Mercedes: Michael P1, Nico P4
Main Highlights:
Schumacher wins 8th race of the season after 2 red flags allowed him to overtake both Red Bulls
Those 2 flags occurred in the span of 10 seconds of each other
Top of the Constructors Standings:
1st: Mercedes, 516 points
2nd: Red Bull, 484 points
3rd: Ferrari, 477 points
No top of the drivers standings because...
Michael Schumacher crowned 2010 drivers world champion in Brazil
In an astonishing run of form mid season, despite 3 retirements across the season, a string of fantastic performances using all of his experience and skill proved why he is now an 8 time world champion. What a fairy tale F1 return with the manufacturer that started his whole F1 career way back in 1991.
Still the constructors to be decided, but in order for us to lose, Red Bull need to score at least 33 points and Ferrari need to score 40 points, so it looks to be in the bag as well
Abu Dhabi tomorrow, that's enough F1M for me today.
🇦🇪 Abu Dhabi 2010:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Truilli P22, di Grassi P21, Liuzzi P20, de la Rosa P19, Glock P18, Kovalainen P17
Q2 Knockouts: Alonso P16 (No time), Barrichello P15, Alguersuari P14, Kobayashi P13, Buemi P12, Hulkenberg P11
Q3 Top 10: Sutil P10, Petrov P9, Kubica P8, Hamilton P7, Massa P6, Schumacher P5, Button P4, Webber P3, Rosberg P2, Vettel P1
Polesitter: Sebastian Vettel
Mercedes: Michael P5, Nico P2
Alonso takes a pit lane start
Lap 4: We've lost the Red Bulls, but we're 3-4, more than enough for the constructors championship
Lap 18: We're somehow only 1.5 behind the Red Bulls
The gaps between lap updates shows I'm not taking this race seriously, but can you blame me? We're 5 seconds ahead of 5th place Massa, and the drivers title was already wrapped up before this race, and the constructors basically looks set as well. All I can do now is marvel at what a battle I had this season.
Lap 47: Vettel has a major problem, Massa might have a chance win the race
Lap 51: Massa takes the lead, securing our (Mercedes) constructors championship even more
Lap 55: Webber and Massa now the leaders, Vettel will even lose places to the Mercedes'
Race:
Finishing Order: Truilli P22, Kovalainen P21, Glock P20, de la Rosa P19, di Grassi P18, Alguersuari P17, Kobayashi P16, Buemi P15, Hulkenberg P14, Sutil P13, Liuzzi P12, Petrov P11, Barrichello P10, Hamilton P9, Alonso P8. Kubica P7, Button P6, Vettel P5, Schumacher P4, Rosberg P3, Massa P2, Webber P1
Winner: Mark Webber
Mercedes: Michael P4, Nico P3
Main Highlights:
Webber wins 4th race of the season
Vettel suffering major car problem effectively secured Mercedes' first constructors championship since 1955
Alonso comes back from the pit lane to take 8th
End of Season Standings:
Constructors:
1st: Mercedes: 543 points
2nd: Red Bull, 519 points
3rd: Ferrari, 499 points
4th: McLaren, 237 points
5th: Renault, 68 points
6th: Force India, 35 points
7th: Williams, 16 points
8th: Toro Rosso, 2 points
9th: Virgin, 0 points
10th: Team Lotus, 0 points
11th: Sauber, 0 points
You know, maybe setting Virgin and Lotus' technical staff to 1 OVR might've helped in limiting them more
Drivers:
1st: Michael Schumacher, 293 points (Mercedes)
2nd: Mark Webber, 265 points (Red Bull)
3rd: Sebastian Vettel, 254 points (Red Bull)
4th: Fernando Alonso, 253 points (Ferrari)

13th: Vitantonio Liuzzi, 6 points (Force India)
14th: Nico Hulkenberg, 5 points (Williams)
15th: Jaime Alguersuari, 1 point (Toro Rosso)
16th: Sebastian Buemi, 1 point (Toro Rosso)
17th: Timo Glock, 0 points (Virgin)
18th: Heikki Kovalainen, 0 points (Team Lotus)
19th: Pedro de la Rosa, 0 points (Sauber)
20th: Lucas di Grassi, 0 points (Virgin)
21st: Kamui Kobayashi, 0 points (Sauber)
22nd: Jarno Truilli, 0 points (Team Lotus)
It looks not as close as it seems, but don't let the eyes deceive you. The highest points gap to the championship leader before Brazil was 18 points, one second place would've put a driver right back into contention.
Definitely got more than I asked for this season in terms of competitiveness at the top
This is the next season from the old poll
Team I'll manage? I don't know yet

Lap 49: Contact, Heidfeld sideswipes into backmarker Barrichello, damage for both cars
Lap 53: It's lonely down here, 15th and 14th led by Albers. 6.5 seconds of 16th placed Barrichello but 26 seconds down on 13th placed Rosberg

Lap 1: A lot of developments up front. Massa leads, Hamilton dropped to 5th, Coulthard up 3rd in a Red Bull!
Lap 4: We're 11th and 12th led by Albers after they both swarmed Rosberg in a great bit of teamwork
Lap 14: We still hold 11th and 12th, the Ferraris still lead now by 4 seconds over the McLarens, not much has changed.. yet
Lap 20: Yet to pit, but we're 7th and 8th, someone cause a safety car please
Lap 23: Both McLarens have pit at this point, when do Ferrari react?
We pit, exit 12th and 14th
Lap 25: Ferrari react, but they're only just ahead of Hamilton now
Lap 31: Top 4 seperated by 6 seconds from Raikkonen to Massa
Lap 32: Sutil and Wurz have been fighting for 11th to the point where Albers is getting involved as well
😭
Lap 40: I think Ferrari are trying a 1 stop, their tires look good to do so
We pit next lap
Lap 41: We pit, Sutil is barely on the lead lap and Albers is barely ahead of 2nd placed Massa in 13th
Nevermind Massa pits, he abandons the 1 stop
Lap 51: Raikkonen is losing heaps of time to the cars behind, migfht just be enough though
Race:
Finishing Order: Schumacher P22, Truilli P21, Speed P20, Liuzzi P19, Davidson P18, Barrichello P17, Sato P16, Button P15, Wurz P14, Rosberg P13, Albers P12, Sutil P11, Kubica P10, Webber P9, Fisichella P8, Kovalainen P7, Heidfeld P6, Coulthard P5, Hamilton P4, Alonso P3, Massa P2, Raikkonen P1

Main Highlights:
Raikkonen wins 2nd race of the season on a 1 stop, 1.5 seconds ahead of teammate Massa
BMW Sauber overtake Renault for 3rd in the constructors standings
Steps forward being made, Sutil was only 9.5 seconds behind 10th placed Kubica
For this season to keep myself wanting, I want to try and beat Spyker's real life count and score at least 2 points
All parts are now spec 2, so I'm hopeful Spain can at least give a top 10
🇪🇸 Spain 2007:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Albers P22, Wurz P21, Speed P20, Davidson P19, Truilli P18, Liuzzi P17
Q2 Knockouts: Sato P16, Schumacher P15, Barrichello P14, Button P13, Coulthard P12, Rosberg P11
Q3 Top 10: Kovalainen P10, Webber P9, Sutil P8, Fisichella P7, Kubica P6, Heidfeld P5, Massa P4, Hamilton P3, Alonso P2, Raikkonen P1
Polesitter: Kimi Raikkonen
Spyker: Adrian P8, Christijan P22
Lap 5: Sutil is collapsing down the field at the moment, 13th now
Now to rebuild, past Button up to 12th
Lap 7: Past a really slow Rosberg up to 11th
Lap 11: Gaining on Webber for 10th, Albers up to 17th
Lap 18: We pit both cars, these 3 stops this race are the most crucial stops this whole season so far
Sutil just in front of Sato and crucially Rosberg, ideal right now
Lap 19: Massa pits, first of the top 4
Lap 20: Everyone has made at least 1 stop now, we sit 11th and 16th
Well when I say everyone, I mean everyone around us
Raikkonen pits from the lead
Lap 22: Hamilton pits, and both McLarens are a long way behind the Ferraris
Lap 29: Ferrari left to fight each other, Raikkonen barely leads Massa
Meanwhile Albers has been steadily working his way through the field, up to 13th
Lap 34: We pit again, 2nd of 3 stops
Lap 42: Hamilton's tire popped! No more McLaren inter team battle now this race
Lap 54: We pit for the last time
Race:
Finishing Order: Speed P22, Liuzzi P21, Sato P20, Davidson P19, Truilli P18, Schumacher P17, Barrichello P16, Button P15, Wurz P14, Rosberg P13. Albers P12, Sutil P11, Webber P10, Coulthard P9, Heidfeld P8, Kubica P7, Kovalainen P6, Fisichella P5, Hamilton P4, Alonso P3, Massa P2, Raikkonen P1
Winner: Kimi Raikkonen
Spyker: Adrian P11, Christijan P12
Main Highlights:
Raikkonen wins 3rd race of the season and extends his championship lead
Albers comes back from 22nd to take 12th, commendable comeback given the machinery he's in
Renault re-overtake BMW Sauber for 3rd in the constructors standings
Sypker overtake Williams for 7th in the constructors standings
Not quite the top 10, but we were still within 10 seconds of it, a few more upgrades could help
A chassis upgrade was finished but started manufacturing on the day of Monaco, so next race it will be fit to the car
I don't expect too much from Monaco because the low speed corners is the car's biggest weakness in terms of cornering
🇲🇨 Monaco 2007:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Rosberg P22, Albers P21, Speed P20, Davidson P19, Barrichello P18, Wurz P17

Davidson takes a pit lane start
Lap 7: Sutil stayed where he started, Albers gained a place
12th and 20th now
Lap 8: Make that 19th, Albers past Speed
Lap 13: 18th, past Barrichello into Casino
Lap 16: Sutil has Liuzzi in his sights, we clear him and opportunities can open up
Lap 23: I've made a bit of a change in strategy, it's now a 2 stopper. Sounds strange, but can we get clean air if we pit first and don't have to worry about deg too much
Lap 29: We pit
Lap 37: Red flag, I'm f*cked
Restart 11th and 14th
Lap 47: We're going to pit 1 more time than scheduled, I have to try at least something
Lap 57: Sutil crashed the lap we were going to pit. At least Albers can get a free stop
He's out
I have a potentially fantastic situation here. Albers in 11th is the lead car that pit. No one else ahead of him pit. He also has Sato and Button to cover him from the cars behind him that did pit.
Points?
Lap 62: Safety car ending this lap, the charge begins
Lap 66: Albers to 10th, 2 cars left
Lap 71: Albers to 9th, just 1 car left
He got Coulthard to 8th, WE'RE IN THE F*CKING POINTS!!!
Lap 74: Past Fisichella, up to 7th
Lap 76: Past Kubica, 6th place
Lap 78: One final move on Heidfeld, 5th place, what a huge race

Lap 4: We've dropped 1 place for both drivers, 9th and 10th at the moment
Lap 7: Rebuilding from the start, 8th and 10th with Albers gaining on the train that Sutil is in
Lap 17: Raikkonen's car has developed a major problem, could he end up retiring from the race?
Lap 24: Pit stops happening all around us, we're up to 5th and 7th at the moment
Lap 26: We pit, 2 stopper today
Exit 9th and 11th but it was the overcut strategy
Lap 30: Around us, Coulthard has a major car problem, an extra point, maybe?
Lap 38: 8th and 11th, could take another point here
Nevermind, Kovalainen's gone
Lap 41: And he gets a mechanical fault, points are still on the cards here
Lap 49: We pit, last stop
Lap 57: Kovalainen pits unbelievably late, 9th and 10th at the moment
Lap 64: Sutil crashed again
Safety car
Lap 67: Lapped cars not allowed to overtake?
Come on, it's more than clear and the queue is set, restart damn it!

Both BMW Saubers and Toyotas take pit lane starts, we start 13th and 10th
It's a wet race, prospects are high personally
Lap 1: Albers on a flyer, he's up 2 places into the points!
Lap 2: Red flag, 3 car collision in sector 2
Liuzzi steamrolls into the back of Wurz and his own teammate Speed, double DNF for Toro Rosso already
Lap 6: Albers up to 7th, Sutil up to 11th, decent progress so far
Lap 9: Seems like everyone is cooking their inters except us, this is why I like these wet races
Lap 11: It's considered dry now, just have to hold our positions for the moment
Lap 13: Damp again, positions still the same in 7th and 10th, now to move forward
Lap 19: Sutil up to 9th, double points positions?
Lap 20: Never mind, Heidfeld flew past
Lap 28: Kovalainen pit and had a massive delay, we might grab another place with Albers here
Lap 31: We pit, new set of inters for both cars
Albers exited just ahead of Coulthard in 9th, and one car ahead has to pit, we still have a point on the cars here
Lap 34: Fisichella pit, but Coulthard got past, still 9th. Heidfeld has to pit though, so the highest we can most likely get this race is 7th
Lap 38: I'm seeing Heidfeld battle hard with Kovalainen even though it's unnecessary, if this keeps up, we could get into the train behind the BMW Sauber
Nevermind he pit, we're into the points though
Lap 41: Oh no, BMW Sauber are rapid, both Heidfeld and Kubica are behind Albers on fresher tires, we may need to act sooner than planned
Lap 42: Kovalainen had a little brush with the wall, no doubt that had to damage his inters though
Lap 48: Heidfeld is right behind Albers now, current objective is just survive
Lap 54: There is nothing I can do, there's nothing left in the tank, we can't catch Coulthard and Heidfeld was too fast, it's over
Race:
Finishing Order: Liuzzi DNF, Wurz DNF, Speed DNF, Button DNF, Schumacher P18, Sato P17, Davidson P16, Barrichello P15, Fisichella P14, Truilli P13, Rosberg P12, Sutil P11, Kubica P10, Albers P9, Coulthard P8, Massa P7, Kovalainen P6, Heidfeld P5, Webber P4, Hamilton P3, Alonso P2, Raikkonen P1

Raikkonen wins 5th race of the season
Toyota overtake Super Aguri for 10th in the constructors standings
No words, just no

Another wet race, wetter track this time
Lap 6: Nothing doing so far
Lap 33: Webber parked due to a terminal fault, Coulthard in the other Red Bull is also suffering problems. Unfortunately we can only get 9th at this point but I can pray for another rival to get problems
Lap 50: We pit, and 10 second stop for Sutil
Well done pit crew
Lap 59: Despite a lockup, Albers still holds 10th, right behind Coulthard
Safety car!
Lap 63: Safety car in

If any consolation for our 2nd near miss, Albers got the fastest lap of the race
