#Custom keyboards

I see. I'm not even sure how to get someone to custom print a back weight, but congrats!
lol they offer it, I didn't even know until I asked
the same guys that did the case/backplate for the 60% I modded
Interesting
sadly the back weight is so thin that there isn't much surface area to put images on
you can technically have the entire thing printed
I think keeping it clean is good
I think you mean etched by a laser?
Or CNC by a machine
Nevermind, that's a print
ROFL, here I am just playing with cans of spray paints and vinyl wraps
they probably have a expensive uv printer or something

pretty nice
Something not accessible for folks in the US
@jolly coral
Absolutely beautiful
The gold is so nice
My 60HE V2 modules should be here next week
Gorgeous
so cute
Got something to match the Suisei Keycaps
It's gonna take some time to learn 60% layout keyboards
Also, it sure has some weight in there
Had to double check, but the Q4 doesn't have weights:
That's just the aluminum case
Great looking build though
I personally prefer 65% over 60% due to the arrow keys. It gets annoying having to jump layers just to access them. Otherwise, 60% is fairly easy to use.
60HE V2 are here:
Did you get both modules?
Whenever you finish it up, mind posting a sound test of the Raw switches?
I bought 2 because I wanted to compare switches and builds. One of them is going on Blade60, a traditional tray mount, and one them is going on a Salvation, which is a leaf spring mount.
I've just completely skipped the Wooting cases because they are seriously overcharging for their aluminum 60% cases
Will do
Also, @livid mason, Neo98 is dropping on 1/5/26: https://qwertykeys.notion.site/Neo98-Neo75-2923d090094280fba5b9c7446edf370f
Should be a very good board, if you've thought the Athena was too busy
Definitely eyeballing it
Thanks for the notice
The 2x 60HE V2 builds are done:
I'll do the sound test later tonight
The two can't sound any more different from each other
alright, took care of the sound tests just now
for reference, here's the original 60HE+ with a traditional tray mount: https://youtu.be/uxu3t23TCg0
Here's the typing test with the Brazen Studio Mason60 EVA-02 Edition with Wooting Lekker V2 L45 switches on a Wooting 60HE+ module.
Board: Brazen Studio Mason60, EVA-02 Edition
Switches: Wooting Lekker V2 L45 Linear HE 45gf
Keycaps: EVA-02 Dye-Sub Pudding OEM Profile
here's the new 60HEV2 with the o-ring mount: https://youtu.be/GZeFRjRR6CI
Here's the typing test with the KBDFans Blade60 with Wooting Lekker Tikken Medium switches on a Wooting 60HE V2 module.
Board: KBDFans Blade60, Yellow
Switches: Wooting Lekker Tikken Medium Linear HE 54gf
Keycaps: Virtual War Light Dye-Sub PBT Cherry Profile
finally, here's the 60HEV2 in a fancy leaf-spring mount: https://youtu.be/H_kRrMpCw-w
Here's the typing test with the Wilba.Tech Salvation with Geon Raw switches on a Wooting 60HE V2 module.
Board: Wilba.Tech Salvation, Black
Switches: Geon Raw Linear HE 50gf
Keycaps: Virtual War Dark Dye-Sub PBT Cherry Profile
3 different mounting styles that produces very different sound profiles
The Geon Raw switches were used in the fancy Wilba.Tech Salvation case
I would say the Geon Raw switches are quite comparable between the new Wooting Lekker Tikken switches
both are PC top, Nylon bottom, and POM stems
they even have similar spring rates: 54gf on the Tikken Medium and 50gf on the Geon Raw
but yeah, the Salvation just sounds premium, and typing on leaf-springs are just more comfortable than any other mounting style
However, the Salvation is quite an expensive case, so I would say for a more budget friendly build, the KDBFan cases (like the Tofu60) will suffice with the new o-ring mount that comes as default from Wooting
Appreciate the review
I didnt realize how similar the Geon Raw were to the Lekker Tikken
yeah, but case matters so much more
Hands down
Just havent heard the Geon Raw, so i wanted to hear your opinion on it
and there's a indirect correlation between my typing speed and the spring rate
I clearly type faster when the switch is lighter
but accurary goes down as well since there's no tactile bump to prevent accidental triggers even at 2.0mm typing actuation
I have a habit of sliding between nearby keys, so I get a ton of accidental triggers typing on linears
but that has nothing to do with sound issue that we're discussing
save the extra money when ordering from Wooting and just grab their new Tikken switches
Wooting put some serious work into the new 60HEV2 release while still maintaining the original form factor so people don't have to ditch their custom cases that they got for their original 60HE
This is why I prefer heavy linears lol
or just use tactile switches like a normal person
Nah
Think the Redux is worth grabbing even with having to screw in a stand off? (Slightly anyway.)
No standoffs are needed with the 60HEV2, it's o-ring mounted
You just drop the module into the Tofu Case and you're done
I actually had to modify the stock 60HEV2 module to get it to mount correctly into the Salvation
Sounds good. I'm not bothering
@jolly coral man I swear I’m high or something
I just spent 60$ on a chunk of meteorite
That imma try to machine into a keycap
ayo, if you can get it to work, hell yeah
Sounds perfectly reasonable
That must be a big chunk
Good luck with that
Not a bad price at all
Seriously good luck with that and hopefully you'll be successful
And share photos here when you do succeed

Got my V2 module, but can't build it at the moment. too sick and coughing everywhere. soon though
Not really custom since it's just the basic case until I decide on the Redux or something else but glad the caps worked with the split.
Yeah, the Suisei set definitely was not the largest, but it at least had split support. Really consider getting a Holy60 for cooling purposes. The module gets quite warm.
Can't say I'm too interested in the Holy's design, especially with the holes.
Got the Kiiboom phantom 81 v3 for my sister for christmas, and of course it got stuck in customs and only god knows if it will arrive before next year
Oh no
I did get it for 100 USD, not too bad for an all clear keeb imo
Definitely one of the better full acrylic boards
Plus it comes on pink
My meteorite arrived
Now time to see what factory would be willing to machine it

@jolly coral I love the pattern
Looks almost unreal
Looks like you can get more than 1 keycap out of that block based on your hand for scale
If I measure well, probably 4-5 1u
lol true
Recover all your cost
Or even make a bit over
Maybe,
Fingers crossed
I think it's more about the waver you have to sign
No shop will take it unless you're okay with failure
Oh yea, that too
I mean that’s the reason I bought a big block
Too familiar with random failure that may or may not be human error
(Tho most of the time it’s my error
It got here today
Had to hurry change the keycaps and update it before my sis arrived so I didn't take a pic of how it lookes
But damn it's pretty, she currently has a cheap red dragon keyboard so it's a massive upgrade in looks, feels and responsiveness
@jolly coral thanks
yup yup
so for example, I bought this awesome hand carved wooden keyboard case from Vietnam: https://www.etsy.com/listing/960862692/the-royal-wood-mechanical-keyboard-case
when it arrived, it looked more like this:
also this is really cool
this is like before any of the treating of the wood right?
exactly
Many people are unsure how to protect unfinished wood. Perhaps you've bought a used piece of furniture, sanded it down, and revealed its beautiful wood grain. Now, you want to preserve its natural beauty without painting it. What should you use? In this blog post, we’ll guide you through your options to help protect and showcase your wood piec...
so yeah
some dude talking about your options
I'm cheap, so I just went with a polyurethane stain
but if you don't seal it, and moisture gets into the wood, you'll get mad warping
so that's why MU01 actually comes with a dry oil rub
right, I remember
did it get here yet?
no not yet
cool, yeah, we can discuss further once it arrives
just ping me anytime
I'm around
yeah sounds good, will do thank you again
do you care if i send you the list i made? js want your opinion
list of what?
the keyboard i plan to build
sure, that's what this thread is for, discussing keyboard builds and stuff
Owlab Ti HE Switches
Everglide SU64 PCB
Walnut Wood Case (GH60)
Hu Tao AIHEY Keycaps
Durock Hand Lubed Stabs
so these keycaps?
i know i frickin love it so much
wow, that PCB is expensive
but it's 500 usd\
really?
it's like $99
but I guess you get to squeeze 64 keys into a 60%
not a bad trade-off
yeah, everything looks good
just not sure about your stab choice
is it bad?
I think the Knights and TX AP are considered some of the best
💀 my keyboard snob friend said that durocks are the best of the best
your friend is wrong
MK has them: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/products/swagkeys-knight-v4-pcb-mount-screw-in-stabilizers-tkl-kit

and CK has them for $15: https://cannonkeys.com/products/swagkeys-knight-stabilizers

and both Ti HE can be purchased from Milktooth: https://milktooth.com/products/ti-he-heavy
https://milktooth.com/products/ti-he-light
yeah, pretty decent HE build
i alr got the switches
shipping 🙁
the pcb comes with the plate
and foam?
you can't for the plate foam
you probably want to use it for an HE board
especially considering you've gone with wood
oh thats true
it's going to sound extremely hollow if you don't use foam
I'm pretty sure you're going tray mount too
so yeah, the impact sound from the key presses are going to be transferred directly onto the case
why can't i buy the plate foam seperately and just cut it myself though?
and what is that
you're going to be mounting the PCB onto little studs that comes out of the bottom of the case
yes
one of the easiest thing you can do to greatly improve the sound is the switch to an o-ring mount like the new 60HE V2
but with HE switches, the plate and PCB gap is crucial
so I wouldn't go o-ring mount with a normal PCB/Plate setup
i see, but im still wondering why i can't use foam i just buy and cut
Then stupidfish probably won't be able to run a shop selling foams: https://stupidfish.design/collections/keyboard-foams
If cutting plate foam is so straightforward
lol, you probably physically can, but it’s def not as good as just buying them
Also costs less time and money ngl
Also my v2 finally arrived after taking a tour around France and Philippines, thanks FedEx
Team split
It honestly works great for me
Since I need a easy access to fn key as I sometimes need to one hand fn arrow select mandarin characters
It’s def less useful if you are typing with both hands, but if I am only using one hand then it’s pretty easy to get used to I guess
shit... I might pick up GMK Metaverse V2 for my ND104
it would look so clean
@jolly coral opinion on that?
I think it would just be a clean black and white keeb
or do i go GMK Michlan Rebirth? for a more colorful keeb
Like real GMK or just clones?
Real GMK
I think you'll like Metaverse better
Oki
I have a lead on a base kit for it, sadly no lead on novelties
Yeah, someone on Mechmarket has been looking for the novelties for a few months now
I think base kit alone gives me the subtle esthetic i would enjoy
The last time the full set popped up, it went for over $300: https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/s/olUglbbl3U
I have a personal lead for $290
Someone local
Ooh those look nice
I think u said "last set" couple times by now
Oh, that means the latest if that's clearer
probably not for a while
Too lazy to do a glamor shot but this finally got in lol
Looks like the QK Duo?
yeah i got some gateron type r in it rn
no keycaps for it just yet so i slapped some random stuff tha fits to test it and learn how to set it up
Hopefully you have a real keycap set coming with the split spacebars. Using the shift keys is kind of ghetto
I do, and it's worse than you think, the shift keys are a different profile than the rest of the keycaps 🤡
Speaking of Hyte, the Gundam ones have started shipping last week or there about.
Waiting for the Firefly ones
My order is tied to the Firefly pre-order
But yeah, my Gundam set shipped yesterday:
I’m tempted to get a qk80 or 101
Like the ASUS one?
The owlab one
Oh
Good luck finding one, and I don't think it's the best 75% out there
I would recommend the Tomo
Much cheaper way to get a TGR
I just want another good looking board
If you're looking for a 75%
Evo80 or DP104 or Neo80Cu
If you're shopping from the QK lineup
I just want to get a new toy lol
I just ordered the Gateron GT60 Ultra
Nice
Going to throw it in the upcoming Cerakey "Peak60" ceramic case
Should be an interesting one
Supposedly the v3 cerakeys are nice
Idk if I want to get a set of the pink caps
But they sold out when I was thinking bout it
They're not good
Stay away from the V3
Oh good I didn’t then
They're actually being discontinued
I got one of the early sets
Oof
They switched to PC stems
And aside from a different sound profile, the stems crack
So flying keycaps with the V3

The V2 has ABS
Yikes
So stick to the V2 colors
Which are the Glossy and Crazed
I have one of the few V2 Matte ones from the trial run like a year sgo
So I was able to do the comparison
Mmm I see
I was thinking bout the qk80 since I saw one 2nd hand pretty decent priced
Wow
Including all 7 colors of their crazy lacquer sets

I shared it here: #1071070910989209661 message
Way overpriced
Seriously, look at the Evo80
Or the new DP104

TickType is killing it
And leaf spring mount is some next level stuff
75% = Evo75, which is the newer one
But if you're looking for something comparable to the Jelly Epoch, Neo75Cu is a budget way to get to that "endgame" type sound
Neo "Cu" line of boards in general are really good bang for the buck in terms of achieving the "high end" sound (which is "clack")
KBDFans recently launched their Tofu60 3.0, it's no longer a budget board though
Much like the Tofu TKL, which recently got a special Year of the Horse edition (https://kbdfans.com/products/tofu-tkl-year-of-the-horse-limited-edition), Tofu are definitely not budget cases anymore
In terms of my most recent toy order: https://geon.works/products/group-buy-gehirn60-barebone-kit
GEHIRN 60 Barebone Kit Designed by Baionlenja and Bowl Keyboards, managed by CTRL. DISCLAIMER The images shown are renders of the product and are only used for illustration purposes. The end product may vary in color from the renders as there is no guarantee that they match the color of the end product 100%. Group-Buy
Oh that’s clean
I had some struggle ordering this because the designer is quite controversial
Baionlenja did some very controversial things to other designers' cases (destroyed them) and created a serious group of antifans
But the original Gehirn (a TKL) has a crazy resale price
I ordered the colorshift color:
Anyways, I highly discourage purchasing a QK80. There are much better boards available.
threw the Gundam keycaps on as well:
Nice!
Thats beautiful
Oh that’s dope
@jolly coral imma grab myself the knock off jelly 75 for fun
And see how that bodes
It’s like 75$
The god 75 or smthing
Will get the evo later
Like the ASUS Jelly75 ($120)? Or the OwLab Jelly Epoch ($500+)?
OwLab literally introduced the whole gasket on leaf spring mounting, and Jelly Epoch was their second keyboard after the Voice65
Owlab knockoff
Yeah, OwLab is now with QK, and TickType is also a part of QK. So they're all kind of related
I mean it’s a gamble, but it’s not an expensive one lol
We’ll see when it arrives
I've avoided a Voice65/Jelly Epoch because the new TickType boards are basically the mass production versions of them
I’ll prob get the 104
Should be fine. Those clones are very good. I love getting Kalam version of the Kohaku and Unikorn
Well, this was on the DP104
Looks very nice
Hence why I wanted to get 104 instead of the others lol
Tho I’ll need to find keycaps for em eventually tho
Still doing room renovation rn
New desk, painting my walls, getting a pinboard to put my keyboards on
And eventually a new monitor
Maybe after oleds get a bit cheaper
that's a dangerous proposal
you might end up with a few more keyboards

yea...
hopefully I get employed after I graduate
then I can fund my keyboards

uh oh, you've been hanging out with some bad influences
Might cop the Smurve80.
Looks like a step up from my NCR80 with that curved Model M style layout.
@jolly coral the GOD75 arrived
it's much better than I had expected
legit straight up clone of the owlab jelly75
leafspring and quick release, everything
for like a fraction of the price
Yesterday's build:
Cerakey's new Peak60 case
I really like the cheese lookin wrist rest
lol
but whats the point of clear switches if the keycaps are opaque
GT60's software is so bad

They're transparent:
That's the secret for Cerakey
so now you have a full ceramic build
Their keycaps are all transparent
Unlike that thing that Keychron made
I don't even remember the name
powerded trash
it looks like compressed powder
not ceramic
drywall kinda material
Hipyo actually cut into one
It was like drywall
lmao
But yeah, Cerakey was like, you guys want a ceramic case? We'll make a ceramic case
also how's the cheese wristrest
yea I don't recon it has much "acoustics"
lmfao
which one sounds better, the holy or the cerakey
I mean the holy is just pure pcb sound traymount
Peak60, Jade Max HE, on a GT60 Ultra with Cerakey Crazed Pink Cherry profile keycaps
I prefer the Holy60, at least the sound is consistent
the pitch is everywhere
especially how poppy the spacebar is
like why does it somehow sound like a sticky membrane keyboard
Geon Raw HE is my current favorite HE switches
I am tempted to get them
or the ufos
to I really don't like how they look
or how pricy they are lmao
They're the best
90$ for a 65pack damn
they are releasing a white sku
that looks better than the purple imo
I will see then
I'll prob get a pack of geon and a pack of ufo
jade max only looks good
sound if meh
But if you need crazy RGB, Jade Max is pretty good
also the stem is scratchy on the jade max
it rubs
not super noticiable, but sometimes you can feel it
Salvation is still the best 60% case I've tested
If you see a used one, definitely grab it

But yeah, I can't recommend the Peak60
I'll def check one out if I see any floating around
Looks great, but terrible sound
lol
Why does that wrist rest look like a mozzarella cheese pull
"art"
@jolly coral
I may or may not have spent 500$
Cheaper to get the MU01 or MU02. There's also Dusk67.
There's a reason why Barrett isn't selling out his slots
Sounds good
It’s less value but the design aspect of it
Cause the wood board sound wise is just not gonna be as good as an aluminum case
But aesthetically I dig it
No worries. I mean, I bought this
So yeah
They're just fun to look at
Currently doing the staining for it
The pricing is for the lack of bothering I want to deal with on machining wood and resin casting
Both of which I tried before and failed spectacularly
Not to mention cost of resin, can’t really buy just a little
Yup, I understand
I had a jar of resin dry out cause I didn’t find use for it
It was like 80$
Wasted

Just so you know what you're getting yourself into
The mass produced versions from Akko and KBDFans has less issues
Be especially careful with getting the super wide boards from Barrett
I mean it’s just gonna be a display piece that happens to be a keyboard
A resin cast wood art piece

Sounds good
My keycaps came in for my Time80
Sadly the aluminum artisan cap i bought was sold out
Sadge
Did they refund you?
Also, KeyCon is in Chicago this year! https://www.keycon.info/
Keycon is a US based meetup which aims to provide a space for new and experienced mechanical keyboard enthusiasts to meet with other community members. The goal is to provide a space for an often online community to come together and meet new and old friends. Join us this year in Chicago!
Really thinking about going
yeah, just sucks because i would have loved the golen accent on escape to match the silver/gold of the keeb
depending on the price of tickets, ill see if i can go
it sounds like fun
I'd be happy to grab you a ticket while I'm buying
That way we don't have to pay multiple processing fees
nah, i can take care of it myself
i gotta figure out what i have going on this summer, since the fam is planning on going to World Cup and I have plans to attend ACen this year with friends
so my summer is gonna be busy, and i gotta schedule everything out
riiip
well, hopefully i can see you there
But definitely bringing her along
Going to make a small Chicago trip out of it
Glad it's not actually in the city
tbh it wouldve been easier for me if it was in the city
i have friends who live downtown, i coulda crashed with them
I'm driving, so anywhere with parking is appreciated
lol thats fiar
Anyways, hope to see you there
@livid mason, hopefully the tickets don't sell out. Just got my pair:
Ohhhhhhu
Its like
Only for brands, or you can also take ur builds
It's just a meetup
Brands will be there
Oh
The first batch of 200 tickets sold out in 3 hours
Second batch supposedly will be coming in a few weeks
New toy just came in
stock for this version of the keeb feels good
although they did mess something simple up on my version, it was an easy fix
and was more funny than anything else
rn im using the web tool to set the keeb up and the little display it has
the switches it came in with stock feels super smooth, albeit a bit light for my tastes
the typing angle is fine, but its stock elevation makes me feel like i should have at least a small wrist rest for when i use it
funny timing, ND104 was next on my build list and I just finished building it tonight
that yellow didn't even come close to color shown in the Chilkey photos:
Damn thay yellow is way off
Its a very cute keeb, but if someone wanted to do something like a Dokibird or other themed build, I would be upset
That yellow is so washed lmfao
Wuque Studio doing their usual banged up job with color matching
There was also a grey color that came out basically black

so i had my dad choose the switches he wanted and gave the ND104 to him for his birthday
I had him work on it and showed him how to take it apart and tinker with it since he is a tinkerer like me, but his toy of choice is a car
he immediately look out the plate foam swapped the plate for pom since he wanted some bounce, and the switches he chose were the WS Gold Arowana i bought to test lool
he also put a picture we took in when we were in Mexico on the display of the keeb
Imma order another board to rip em off from
Sure dude, dunno how you make profit
Oh
He said that not me lol
The guy in China
Yea
I don't know, it's still not close
And it’s still somehow cheaper than buying UFOs straight up,
60HEV2 is just that good
Oh yea it’s hella nice
I love the friction mount
Just rip the thing out and it’s so much easier to clean
I recently also got the GT60 Ultra
Threw it in a Salvation just to have a fair comparison
That case looks so nice
Jade Max and everything for best possible Gateron only setup
Did the HiUM aluminum keycaps (V2)
To take advantage of the double LEDs to light the legends
Shiny
I’m still waiting for my meteorite to come back lol
They struggled to cut the thing

And had to send them off to other machines
Soon tm
It somehow wasnt conductive either lmao
That's a good thing
Bad for machining
Yea lmao
I somehow ended up with an R3 Suisei case
I’ll prob acid dip it if I feel like it
Oh damn
Nice
But the spacebar keycap don’t fit
I'll have to see if I can outfit it with a 6.25U custom PCB
We have Mechlovin' in the US
So I'll see if there is something on their catalog that I can MacGyver into the case
Also got myself a 21key numpad
Dunno why and what I need it for but nice to have I guess
But I can’t be buying more keyboard stuff
I need to save up for a monitor lol
Oh drats:
I don't feel like pulling the caps from the QK100
I'll figure something out for the keycaps for the Suisei board
Maybe custom print something from Yuzu
Oof lol
Use it as a 1 handed keyboard for gaming
I also really want to get a better audio interface
Lmao
The current go xlr mini is not having it
That's how I use it my Q0 Max
My K3+ is still working great
I did get a new pair of headphones and had to swap to the line out instead of headphone jack
Cause the amp was so bad that it was buzzing
Gotta love having the 48V phantom power for XLR mics
Previous headphones weren’t good enough to pick it up
Yea that’s the issue I need one with that to power my mic lol
That's what you get for upgrading

So the choices were limited
I’m this close to throwing the mic and xlr out
You should
And going for shure smb7
Lmao
I think the ADC is more important than the mic
Don't overspend on the mic
Yea
A good ADC is more important
I do have fun listening to the headphones in my dad’s room lol
He has way better audio equipment
Tube DACs do still sound really nice
I’m quite liking the T5
Haha, somehow Newegg still has the K3+ in stock:
Was contemplating the T1 or the T5 but in the end closed back sounds better to me
But yeah, still the best budget friendly XLR ADC I've found
Probably yea
Warmer sound
I seriously overpaid for those yellow speakers in the studio setup: https://audioengine.com/shop/wirelessspeakers/a2-wireless-computer-speakers/
Or you could get the ag03 miku ver
Not budget but hey it’s miku
When was it ever budget
Not budget
I view it as work tools
My K3+ has served me well and more than paid for itself
It’s def overkill for just a adc
But even the Elgato basic ADC is $150+ now
Things are just stupid expensive
Yea…
They coming out with a new one too
I’m still contemplating stream deck
But like in reality I won’t really use it for anything
Well, Corsair is making a keyboard with a deck
Nevermind, already in stock: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/keyboards/ch-912a31i-na/galleon-100-sd-stream-deck-integrated-mechanical-keyboard-ch-912a31i-na
Yeah, kind of silly
Also Corsair keyboards fell off hard imo
I rather get a NOOS Station instead
The silver switches? (Forgot name) were nice but everything after kinda just became overpriced garbage
6 USB outs
Just picked up last week:
Ok damn
Its been awhile
@jolly coral imagine needing "anti typo" software to use a keyboard

The dream of 100 keys jammed into a 64 key layout has made it out of someone's imag...
Tap mod is not a new thing
Most people use it for 40s
It's also known as "tap dance"
It's a requirement to use QAZ (35%) boards
yeah but thats not that
Oh?
that keyboard has 2 mechanical switches in 1 location
Yeah, certain keycaps are split in 2, you can press the top or bottom half independently
its not a good product but its definitely unique
I dig the look but its barely a functional keyboard
I don't even like the look
One of LP boards I did for Cerakey for their new LP ceramic keycaps (which I don't recommend)
The base board is a Cerakey Zen75
Here's the other LP board with pink LP ceramic keycaps:
The base board is a Chilkey ND75 LP
I don't recommend either board
Actually, I don't recommend LP boards in general
Yeah, i'd probably stick to regular size keycaps
LP looks nice but not the greatest typing experience imo
Because only uniform profile keycaps for space saving reasons
Definitely not as comfortable to type on
Example of 1+1 is less than 1
Yeah, making stems are tricky
Not like you'll really be mounting them anyways
What is this
Keycap from meteorite
Ah
Base looks marble, ngl its beautiful
Then you might like this new piece I just finished:
Base is gorgeous but keys kinda idk maybe basic?
It's Sakura Miku
But yes, very basic keycaps
Oh special edition
Yeah i think so too
No, cheap AliExpress stuff
Thats good
But it's Miku
Soo how many pending one?
And it matched the color
Ye i saw how many people liked miku
100?
Wat?!?
I'm never running out of boards
Did u like buy again recently?
Becoz last time we talk u have less then 100?
#general message
My new studio setup
Just one last thing before starting my Insta
(it's already started)
But I'll start posting more seriously
Oh yeah, I've been buying
Figured that much
Looks cool
No
No cool?
Damn i didnt know the price
Been around for a couple of years now
If anything, you should see if you can find this keyboard, Attack Shark X68 HE: https://a.co/d/05ZXiTk3
I was pleasantly surprised by the board when I tested it
Thus?
It's $40 for me and I can get it later today
Why used one 35?
I mean i heard 30% value dropped when new item got opened?
Yup
Shouldn't this be like 29 or 28?
No idea
dont have much of a custom keyboard
btu i do have a nice wooting
have had for around a year and 2 months
Amazing
Nice
Has anyone recently bought anything from Keebsforall?
Don't use them. What were you looking for?
Already done unfortunately 😭
Well, shipping label just got created a few hours ago, we'll see
Ordered a keyboard that came out a few years ago
They had them in stock
retro #66
This looks super cute
I like it
Since I ended up getting the entire Miko set, decided to get Wooting's TenZ board to put the Miko keycaps in. Can then swap the cases and use the ABS one for the Advent keycaps and Zinc for Miko. Would probably work better since I use swirling RGB in Advent's colors.
Sounds nice, and while it's all basic Wooting instead of anything else, I'm a happy basic dude with the idea.
Me too basic
Oh, new keycaps and mat!
So the deskmats are identical
And the set is targeted towards Japanese enthusiasts again with that 4.5u spacebar
I'm leaning towards the white one right now
Since I don't really care about the lanyard, I guess there's no rush
Personally went with the black. Works better with all the peripherals and such. Weird we got a lanyard compared to wall scrolls but I'm not going to complain much. Got the black case too, where I may just get a new motherboard, so it'll be a nice little refresh as a whole.
Dumbly excited. Wallet is crying in agony but at least I ain't getting RAM.
I thought the lanyard only came if you've order BOTH black AND white sets?
Oh
Maybe but it could just be poor word choice because I cannot imagine getting BOTH black and white cases for a lanyard.
ROFL
They probably meant BOTH as in BOTH color reaching 300 and that's it.
Yeah, I've just ordered the White one
Yeah, the word choice/sentence structure was very poor
Cannonkeys also dropped a new Waifu set, really well done too: https://cannonkeys.com/products/nicepbt-youmu
Designed xSifox, this set consists of Cherry Profile, dye-sub and reverse dye-sub keycaps. Dive into the Netherworld with half-human half-phantom gardener Youmu Konpaku and her trusty swords Roukanken and Hakurouken. We can't guarantee this set will give you the powers to bring phantoms back from Gensokyo but it certainly won't hurt!
Oh, that is nice! But I can't help but think they're very Miku-ish with that colorway and would work well in that direction.
Oh hey, yeah, don't bother with ceramic with that board
ah yes, ice for my whiskey
perfecty
Cerakey's latest, Ice Crystal finish:
Feels like typing on fiberglass
Not the best feel
that sounds absolutely awful
Hopefully it doesn't smell like it too
Doesn't smell like anything
But feels weird
No
I guess people complained about not having texture on the ceramic keycaps, welp, Cerakey definitely gave some texture to these
Lol
But how's the taste
Really need to evaluate it with every sense
Lmao
I'm afraid to put my tongue against that
New Womier kickstarter looks like a fun idea
I backed with the Super Early Bird
Im probs gonna try to set it up with OBS for streaming
Esp since my friends and I plan on doing some silly shit with Final Fantasy XIV
probably not going to work
but definitely let me know how it goes
I'm skipping this one as the software side of that screen doesn't look promising
That's fair
It just looks interesting, and I got the super early bird
So screw it, its only $100
yeah, I've made a resolution at the start of this year to stop buying cheap boards
been doing a pretty good job keeping to the resolution
It would be cool if that screen could work as steam deck
You mean Stream Deck?
By the looks of it, it seems like it is supposed to
Yes yes
100$ looks affordable
Definitely relatively affordable
But I wouldnt be surprised if the super early bird allocation is sold out now
Do you have the sizes of them?
Looks like 3U + 3U
I think
Nope
Yeah, it's 3U + 3U, so you will need to find a Spacebar Child's kit
Il look got a gmk set with the same blue
Unfortunately, GMK doesn't include the 3U in the base kit
Space bar gmk set
That's exactly it
The color that will be closest will be the GMK Lazurite
Or maybe the GMK Striker
I could just leave it with the black 3u tbh

Ooh
I just checked NovelKeys (US) Child Kit Extras
They didn't have anything
But looks like KBDFans (China) may have what you will need
The yellow from Kabuki-Cho's 2nd spacebar kit will be really close to the yellow on the Suisei set:
I would highly recommend it
Ill snag that
No, submit design to have a one off dye sub made
Ahhh
Btw why right atl only have one key
Alt
No windows or control
7U Tsangan layout for 65%
Oh ic
That's why I have to order custom
The HYTE set was small and didn't include Tsangan layout coverage
The official Suisei keyboard from Kibou only has Tsangan
How much it cost
It's about $1 per key
Good thing 65% boards have less keys
Lol tru
Your custom wood case!
lol
Finally finished unpacking my figures from last year and photographed them all
Looks great on top of the keyboards
