Its hard to determine a demanding PS4 given that they often are optimised towards that platform, you'll see often that third-party games do end-up being more demanding given that they probably don't have the time to commit all their energy onto one platform and make the most out of it using that graphics API. So even though it may run very well on PS4 that may not be the case for PC (vice versa also counts). I'd just keep an eye on any technical overview/reviews by DF around the launch period and hopefully they'd release some system requirements.

Moreover, every engine and game loads hardware differently so for Elden Ring you'd likely need to compare to Sekiro, however given that ER is going to be open-world the CPU load is likely going to be higher.
I often see that Assassins creed demands loads more of the hardware compared to others. RDR2 is the same.

ER going by the specs and compatability will run up to 60fps.
It also fits well if you're gaming on a monitor 🙂

Yeah that's understandable 100%, hopefully you'll be able to get to a position for upgrading soon. The one tip I would give is to set the refresh rate of your monitor to 30hz also. Sometimes locking a game to 30fps in-game and having your refresh rate at 60fps it does not look smooth at al even though the frametimes are alright.

@elder badge Actually, DL2 is much easier than DL1, especially so the night. You could absolutely forget to play Night in DL1 if you were in early game, since you didn’t see anything either way, but now it’s a bit too bright imo

Volatiles are still hella threatening, but not as much as they were in DL1
