Hey all brand new to souls games buddy told me i could beat the graphed scion at lvl one. So i spent 3 plus hours until i beat him. Stayed level one and still on my 1st playthough no help yet no friends summoning but i habe collected as much as i could and killer tons of bosses only to come across a youtube short telling me about a rere 2% bloom armor and that it goes away once you beat a certain boss.. so i looked up a guide only to find out in my 95+ hours of farming and game time as a level one. I missed all the early quests missed out on a bunch of ashes of war and items from the 1st map. Did not keep watching the guide not sure if i should restart and follow a guide so i dont miss more or if i should just keep playing and ignore guides also wasted a lot of sombersmithing stones. not a massive flaw but made me wonder wtf they were thinking: some puzzle thing involves matching symbols on a wall to their number in the order of symbols

simple enough, but the counting starts at 0

combat is basically just spiderman combat like people have said. slightly more involved, you gotta like stagger enemies using certain colored spells based on the enemies color or w.e and then just spam basic crap at them

at times it feels like the whole game is designed largely for children or non-gamers (obviously, on both counts) but like damn even kids like jumping off the cliffs n stuff you dont have to put guard rails up everywhere

i didnt think much of it when i saw others talking about all the invisible walls blocking your movement but theres many places where the stairways are set up so that you are enticed to try to jump through the gaps but theres a wall there so you cant

its got one of those 'click this button to highlight loot and crap nearby' that makes games a tedious spam-fest of that button

oh i didnt see anything but it stopped 5m short of that thing over there that might be something, let me hit it again

its def made more for harry potter fans than gamers

ill clown on some of this community for the way yall gotta bring up elden ring to compare games too all the time but this was one that had me thinking 'damn, they should have maybe taken a couple queues from elden ring'
